Good location/ but in need of proper maintenance

We had a few issues with the house The house was a good location and had alot of potential but really needed some TLC. We made the best of it but felt like it was improperly advertised in the pictures etc. *None of the TV worked ( it took 3 days for a response, but they replied with the owners choose not to pay the direct tv bill)*this is a 3 level home with bedrooms on the 1st floor and 3rd floor. The only access to the backyard/pool is through the 1st floor master bedroom. ( maybe we just didn't see it on the vrbo page but this was an inconvenience with ppl. Coming through the bedroom wet from the pool)*the 1st floor master bathroom toilet did not work. ( we called and they replied 3 days later ,they would fix it when we left, they knew there was issues with it) we had to go upstairs everytime we need to use the restroom. * there was mold on the ceiling in the Upstairs master bedroom. * the landscaping/pool area really needed cleaned up and debri gone.*the grill does not work( when we questioned that they told us that was an extra amenitie ) that changed a few meal plans for us.* we had 8 guests staying and there where exactly 8 bath towels, 8 wash clothes, 4 hand towels. And 0 dish towels/rags.there where many little things with this property that just added up and made our 9 day stay with our family (8) a little less easy/enjoyable. I think if it was advertised a little better and more accurate we would not have rented this home.

Wouldn’t Stay Here Again

I wouldn’t book this property. As some of the items below weren’t an inconvenience for our group, some were. This property could use some cleaning up for the future tenants. For starters, nothing in the description talks about being in a private community
 or about the private entrance. When putting in the address into the gps it takes you to a locked entrance. Without looking at a map or driving around we wouldn’t have figured out there was another entrance we needed to drive through. Kitchen has no kitchen towels. After contacting customer service via text and being ignored I went and bought my own. While looking for skillets to use to cook
 there was food still caked on pans. Which it’s not a huge deal, but it’s an inconvenience of having to wash these items before using. The upstairs master bathroom leaks into the kitchen/hallway on the second floor. The upstairs master bathroom / bedroom has mold growing on the ceiling and in the ceiling vents. The other bedroom on the upper floor ceiling vents are covered in mold. (Assuming that’s why they were closed). The TVs in the bottom floor bedroom and the two on the top floor don’t work. The remotes won’t work with the TVs. The outside patio area needs to be cleaned up. Very surprised to see how ran down the landscaping area is with all the leaves and debris. Especially being in this type of neighborhood, you’d think it’d need to have an HOA and need to be cleaned up. The pool area is disappointing especially all the furniture. It definitely needs a good power washing. I’ve messaged customer service the first two days we were here asking for kitchen towels and the leaking ceiling and the issues were ignored. The toilet in the bottom floor bathroom was reported about it not flushing properly on Monday, no one came out until Tuesday and we weren’t even notified they were heading this way. I got a call saying they were here while we weren’t home. And it’s still not fixed. After using the toilet, when going to flush.. the bowl just fills up with water and then doesn’t go down. We’re having to plunge it for it to be cleared to go down. Communication needs to be fixed and updated on its rental sites to explain this property.

Unrealized potential

The home itself is spacious and beautiful. The outdoor living space and pool have the potential to be lovely but are overgrown and poorly maintained, resulting in unbearable biting insects. Beach access is a fairly long walk, but the problem is the steps up and down and a walkway that is largely covered with sand that make trips to the beach a lot of work. The beach itself is uncrowded and gorgeous.
