Barefoot Retreat w/kayaks/SUP/fireplace/Community Pool

Enjoy lake living at one of the newest lakefront neighborhoods on Tim`s Ford Lake. This cozy cottage is in a beautiful gated community and sits close to the lake. It is only a 1 min walk to the community pool overlooking the lake and direct lake access for kayaks and paddleboards that we include for you! This beautiful home also has a screened in back porch with a fireplace or step outside and hang out around the fire pit! You are also centrally located and only 5 minutes from Twin Creeks Marina and downtown!

-This is beautiful boutique gated community that is lake front and has lake access and a pool over looking the lake!
-The pool and kayak launch are 1 minute walk, about 100 yards from the home. The pool is seasonal and available Memorial Day-Labor Day.
-This is an amazing cottage right next to the lake.
-All bedrooms are upstairs

-Enjoy the nearby pleasure`s of Walnut Hill Coffee Shop or have lunch/dinner at Filo`s at the Winchester Town Square.
-Jack Daniel`s Distillery is a short drive away where you can embark on a tour and tasting.
-Tim`s Ford State Park offers scenic views, walking trails, and golf at Bear Trace.
-Elk River offers Trout fishing and kayak/canoe excursions
-Pool available only Memorial Day- Labor Day

The home is in a gated community and the homes are very close together. Outside of the community gate there is an older neighborhood.

Great family activities

This property is beautiful and provides a game room, kayaks and paddle boards, puzzles, fireplaces, a fire pit and a gas grill. It was a wonderful stay and the hosts were very attentive. I would stay here again.

Rest, relaxation, and renew

We enjoyed our stay. Everything we could ask for was provided or within a short drive. Our questions were answered quickly and promptly. Beautifully decorated and so peaceful. Our favorite part of the house was the back porch. My Mom and I spent most of our mornings....just talking and relaxing on the back porch.

Fine property. Having a few laundry pods provided would be a nice touch, as would a full-sized ironing board. It was good to be able to check-in 30 mins early, but a 10am checkout time on Sunday morning is tough. Back porch could use a good deep clean.

Clean and comfortable

Lovely stay in a gated community near Tim’s Ford Lake. We stayed in the off season visiting family for a wedding. Everything in the house was clean and comfortable. Owners were easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions. Would stay again.

What a great place!

We had everything we needed at this location. I forgot to pack my hair dryer and what do you know? They had a blow dryer readily available for me to use! We would definitely stay here again. The place is so clean, comfortable, and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Traveled to visit family. Location was perfect! We were impressed with everything!

Loved the backyard serenity. We spent the majority of our time on the screened in porch. Very peaceful! The pool was very well maintained and enjoyed by all. Property and home were all well maintained. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

Traveled to see Family. Great Location. Great Team

We enjoyed our stay and loved the backyard enclosure. The property and home was in great condition, great neighborhood and even the yard worker was pleasant when cutting the grass.Even though it was a short stay, we were able to spend time with family. We appreciated the welcome cookies and laundry detergent when we arrived. Thank you Derrick and Freedom Property Management for being excellent hosts and for your quick responses to our inquiries. Definitely recommend this property!

Absolutely perfect!!!

Derrick did a great job staying in contact with me, making me feel welcome and appreciated. The home was gorgeous, so tastefully decorated and furnished. The screened in porch is where we spent most of our time simply because it was tranquil and comfortable. It was a gated community so we felt safe. Highly recommend!!!

Perfect in every way

I had to travel last minute and searched VRBO for safe and clean accommodations. Barefoot Retreat caught my eye, The price was very affordable and the home was beautiful. As I was not sure of my timing I booked only a few days. As I traveling I was able to contact the Property Manger and add a night easily. The response was quick to any question or concern. Everything you need is in this home from the kitchen to the linens. It is Beautifully appointed, comfortable and well cared for. I especially loved the screened in porch with fireplace. It was perfect for early morning and late evening relaxing. I would recommend anyone coming to the Winchester area to stay here as everything is close by. Twin Creeks Marina is just a few minute ride.

AWESOME Family Accommodations!

We have been burned using VRBO before, but not this time! This place was worth every penny! It was AWESOME! Wonderful rooms for 6 adults and one infant. EVERYTHING you could possibly want! If you needed it, they had it! From pretty much all kitchen needs, grill/fire pit, laundry, games, and extras like paddle boards/kayaks, community pool and plenty of towels. Had some basic cooking needs. (Walmart about a mile away to get whatever else you needed) Comfy beds. Great showers/tub. A GREAT and fun place to call home for a few days! Owners-Derrick/Justin were quick to respond and always helpful with communication. This place was most reasonably priced compared to others in the area, and in a quiet gated community! Great location between (about and hour from) Nashville-Chattanooga-Huntsville, so we went a different direction each day to see the many sights in the area.
