Beautiful property, excellent location! No more than 15 mins from Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Centrally located to most top rated restaurants. Would absolutely stay here again!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful 5 day stay. Shower water pressure was quite weak, but the overall cleanliness and comfort of the condo made it well worth dealing with. The resort offered fun family activities, pools were clean, and staff as well as guests were friendly.

This is much better option than traditional hotel rooms if you have children or a group. We had 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living/dining room, enclosed porch and deck. It was so nice to separate kids from adults at bedtime. Cheaper than 2 hotel rooms, but much better. We were u able to use amenities during our short stay so a bummer we had to pay for them.

ENJOYABLE

We really enjoyed our stay there at the resort. There was so much to do per what was provided at the resort especially for the guest that we had to accompany us. Pools, gym, miniature golf, volley ball, basket ball, pickle ball, racket ball, restaurant lovely places to walk and we were able to visit Busch Gardens which the kids had a ball there.

I knew making the reservation there was an additional fee of 25. each day for amenities offered. All amenities should be in working order….the indoor pool closed I feel the fee should be reimbursed if not all amenities available and/or working.

Nice, conveniently located.

The property was nice, but there were a few things that need addressing. Toilet seats are too small for the toilet, making it a little dangerous for older visitors. Otherwise, clean.

We had no big complaints about our stay. It was pretty much just a glorified motel room. The place was not somewhere you wanted to stay and hangout. It was fairly clean, but it only gave you the bare minimum of conveniences (besides having a tv in every room). One complaint I did have is that we were in the bottom condo with other guests above us. You could hear every step that was taken above us, and considering the above guests had young kids the running and jumping was very loud at times. The grounds were beautiful. The outdoor pools were closed for the season, but the indoor pool was good enough for my kids to enjoy. All and all the place was fine.

Upon arrival we went to check in at the registration building. There was a line and the wait was longer than any check in that I have experienced. The property is much larger than expected and the amenities were not within ease of walking. Had to drive to go to the gym or pool. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Space was adequate. The unit needs updating and a deeper cleaning. We called guest services for additional towels and wash clothes and they were never brought so we made due. We called again the next day and they said to put the used ones in a bag and leave outside so we did and they left them there when they finally dropped off the ones we asked for twice. Overall, it was a decent stay but we will probably stay elsewhere next time we are in the area.

Nowhere in the listing does it say this is the Historic Powhatan Resort. I specifically booked through VRBO to avoid the Historic Powhatan Resort. While the rooms are fine - although this time the A/C didn't work very well - the checkin process is a nightmare. This was my third time there, and each time the lobby was packed with people waiting to check in. I stood in line for almost 45 minutes waiting to check in. Never again. And VRBO, if a rental is a commercial property you should be very clear what that property is. If the property insists on anonymity, they are trying to pull a scam and you should refuse their listing.
