The Bear Den - Privé 1 acre Upper Kenai Riverfront Home - Cooper Landing

Cette propriĂ©tĂ© est situĂ©e en face de la riviĂšre Kenai Princess Lodge au dĂ©but des Upper River Rapids. Il y a environ 130 pieds de façade sur la rive basse du fleuve et 700 pieds supplĂ©mentaires d'accĂšs Ă  guĂ© dans des conditions d'eau normales. Cette propriĂ©tĂ© peut ĂȘtre louĂ©e avec la River House voisine en amont (VRBO # 252577).

Nous avons terminĂ© un remodelage important au cours de l'hiver et du printemps 2016, qui comprenait l'ajout d'une nouvelle laveuse / sĂ©cheuse, un nouveau plancher, la modernisation de la cuisine, l'ajout de cinq fenĂȘtres, une lucarne pleine longueur, une nouvelle peinture intĂ©rieure et extĂ©rieure et un poĂȘle norvĂ©gien pour mieux vivre cette cadre en bord de riviĂšre.

La riviĂšre Kenai est ouverte Ă  la pĂȘche entre le 11 juin et le 1er mai. Le site ADF & G est une excellente source d'informations sur les derniĂšres rĂ©glementations de pĂȘche.

The house and location were perfect. The place was clean, well stocked with everything we need to do some cooking. Owner was very quick to respond to any questions. I would 100% go back and stay here again. The only thing I would have liked would be if the bed in the back bedroom was more comfortable, but I am spoiled with a good mattress at home and do tend to have a hard time sleeping comfortably anywhere we go so it might not seem that bad to others.

The property is beautiful. The Kenai River is a color I've never seen before. The cabin is very comfortable and clean with plenty of space.

Cooper Landing family get together

We had a great time staying at these cabins. We rented the Bear and River cabins since we had family in town from Georgia. Everyone had a great time. It was very relaxing with great views of the Kenai River. The kids enjoyed fishing in the river, and we had several Bald Eagles hanging out nearby (up to four at one point). The cabins had plenty of space for everyone. Loved the fire pit overlooking the river.

The Bear Den was just as advertised! The property was clean and comfortable and close to several good restaurants. The river view is amazing and we saw an eagle from the deck! We enjoyed a rafting trip down the river and saw many eagles and a moose with her baby. The property is an easy and beautiful drive to Seward where we went on a whale watching tour and a sled dog exhibition. Would definitely stay again!!

Incredible location and experience

The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. The communication with the owners was outstanding. I have stayed at many rentals in Cooper Landing and this is by far my favorite.

We had an awesome stay at The Bear Den. This was our second time and hope to stay again in the future. The house, property and view are awesome! The fishing was pretty good too. Communication with the owners has always been excellent. We will be back!

Lovely

Really enjoyed staying here, right on the river. Quick access to everything local. Quiet and comfortable. Firepit is great gathering spot. I was warned about the internet and it is a definite weakness to this location, which is probably an issue anywhere not in a big city. I wonder what the starlink availability is here, as that would definitely be an upgrade if doable. Other than that no complaints.

Great place on the river!

Perfect location for fishing, spacious living area, perfect for our family get together. The owners were extremely communicative and helpful, which we greatly appreciated traveling with a young baby. If we need a place to stay out here again, we know where to go!

Beautiful river setting - Peaceful

Bear Den is a beautiful river house with a large grass lawn leading to the river. Beautiful views. LOVED sitting by the fire pit each evening. Private but close to the center of Cooper Landing. Very comfortable inside & well appointed kitchen. Our favorite place to stay on our AK Trip. Highly recommend this.

The Bear Den is a magical home!

The minute you drive up to the house you are overwhelmed by the river view that this house has. The house was plenty big and had everything we needed. Watching the bald eagles and ducks and fisherman floating by was so entertaining.

FABULOUS!

This property is awesome! The location couldn’t be better. Right on the river and every day we wAtched a family of eagles along the river. The house is well stocked and comfortable for 4 adults. Can’t wait to come back. The owners were really responsive. Thanks for an awesome time!!!

That view!!!

We loved our stay at the Bear Den! We spent most of our time on the patio watching the local wildlife, a beaver dragging branches upstream, salmon jumping and eagles soaring above and perched nightly across the river. The view was extraordinary so we dined on the patio every meal. The kitchen is pretty well stocked but was missing a few items such as a vegetable peeler and casserole dishes for heating food.

There are few things I enjoy more than floating down the Upper Kenai. I was lucky enough to spend the month of September fishing in Cooper Landing for about a decade before owning this property. For any guests that have not experienced the fall in Cooper Landing, I strongly recommend it.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

There are many houses available for rent in Cooper Landing, but few have the river front privacy and fishing as the Bear Den. Sitting by a warm fire down by the river after a great day of exploring Alaska is one of our favorite features of the property.
If the world class rainbow fishing was not enough, the upper river is one of the most beautiful places I have come across. The house sits across from the drift only marker on the Upper Kenai (No motors allowed). Just upstream from the property, the river begins to narrow and pick up current.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Rainbows and Dollies can be caught easily for most of the summer and fall. In late September and October the second run of Silver Salmon start to stack up behind the house. In March and April the property is home to a concentration of bald eagles that are feasting on spawning silver salmon creating some fantastic photo opportunities.
