The kitchen is designed for people who actually enjoy cooking. Updated stainless steel appliances (2023), a professional six-burner gas cooktop, quality cookware, and a dedicated coffee station with a Ninja brewer and coffee grinder make it easy to prepare everything from a quick breakfast to a full dinner.
When it's time to relax, each bedroom is designed for a great night's sleep with blackout blinds, plush mattresses, and individual climate-control air conditioning. A full-size washer and dryer (2025) make extended stays easy, while central heat, first-floor mini-split A/C, and individual upstairs units keep every room comfortable throughout the year.
Outside, enjoy free off-street parking and the convenience of being close to Stanford, Meta, Google, and the best of the Peninsula while returning each evening to a quiet, comfortable home.
Our professional housekeeping team has cared for this property for years, and it shows. Guests consistently arrive to an exceptionally clean, welcoming home that is carefully maintained between every stay.
Please note that this is a two-story home. Entry requires climbing exterior stairs, and all bedrooms are located on the second floor, accessible by a full interior staircase. The first floor has only a half bath and no sleeping accommodations. If anyone in your group has difficulty using stairs, this home will not be a good fit.
Ideal for families, visiting professionals, Stanford visitors, EV owners, long weekends, and extended stays, we maintain a two-night minimum so every guest enjoys a home prepared to the highest standard.

Nice place. Wish we would have known all bedrooms are on second floor (not great for elderly) and no handrail along stairway. Roosters across the street are very active and loud starting at 4 a.m.

Very responsive host! We had one minor issue and she got back to me immediately. It’s an old house with lots of character, pleasant decor, well-appointed kitchen, comfy furniture, and lots of space for our group of 4 adults. Excellent stay at a price we could afford. Definitely would stay there again.

Convenient & Clean

This home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The outdoor space was not to inviting but I do believe the owners are working on improving the grounds. Overall we were very comfortable, slept great in their cozy beds and felt very safe in the home.

Spacious place, close to Stanford

The house was very roomy inside. The living room and kitchen were very accommodating for the family. Each of the rooms were adequate for the short stay. They were all outfitted with AC window units that did keep the room cool for those hot nights. Was taken back by how much the outside of the house wasn't kept, saw a lot of cobwebs on the windows that expected to be taken care of by the previous cleaning crew. The location was close to downtown Palo Alto which was convenient for shopping and restaurants.

Exterior window cleaning is a separate service from our internal cleaners. Our house is over 100 years old and two story. We have been rescheduled several times by the cleaning company with expertise to do the second floor windows. We hear your concern and will address it forthwith.

Beautiful kitchen, the rest of house shows its age.

Had a great time cooking and eating because of the chefs style kitchen. The home is older but has been updated to be very comfortable. All bedrooms are upstairs with their own air conditioning. Plenty of restrooms and the walk-in shower is great. The restroom downstairs is handy when using that part of the house. The neighborhood is acceptable but noisy at night. The street in front of the house is fast. The location is close to shopping and Stanford Hospital.

Check in process was easy and the host was a great communicator. The house was located near restaurants and shopping centers, which was nice and convenient. The exterior of the property wasn’t very welcoming. There really wasn’t any chairs or tables or anything to enjoy the yard space and there was garbage around the exterior and just random things laying around. The home has lots of character and the beds were really comfortable. The mattresses and the sheets were great. The home wasn’t very clean, many of the dishes were dirty, or at least not cleaned well. There was a lot of dust in the cabinets on the cups and kitchen supplies, seemed like maybe it hadn’t been stayed in in a while. There wasn’t any screens on the windows and a lot of cobwebs and spiders around the exterior of the windows so we couldn’t really open any windows. Many of the window locks were broken and the back door lock was broken as well, so it didn’t lock. There was a stick to “lock” it with, but it would still open a little, so it didn’t feel very safe. Overall, we still enjoyed the home but it really needs some major deep cleaning, organization (random things kind of all over) repairs and cosmetic work on both the interior and exterior. Oh and there was a bullet hole in the primary bedroom window…

Regarding your comments about cleanliness and the exterior, I’d like to clarify a few things. Cleanliness is something I take very seriously, and it’s consistently praised in other reviews. I work closely with a professional cleaning team to ensure high standards are met. The mention of garbage around the exterior is surprising and not reflective of the condition guests typically find —but there are a few things stored in the backyard and off to the side. That said, I value constructive feedback and will absolutely take your comments into consideration. I’m currently reviewing the yard setup and window hardware to improve both comfort and safety. The note about the bullet hole is understandable. However the hole was caused by a neighbor’s children playing with a BB gun and was left at the request of their parents. In light of your comments we will reconsider. I’m glad you still enjoyed your stay overall, and I hope you’ll consider visiting again in the future to see the improvements firsthand.

I don’t know why this guest rated a 3 because he didn’t say anything specific. He just gave a rating. Some guests just rate low. Our house is very clean. We pride ourselves on that.
