This is our favorite spot to visit in Maine and our 4th time visiting. Fred and Aja are the most welcoming, wonderful hosts and the cottage itself is beautiful with amazing views of Frenchman’s Bay and just a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay and all so close to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Highly recommend!

This is an ideal place for couples looking to enjoy a quiet place on the shore in Maine. Secluded, yet close to the things we like to do in Maine. You don't have to do anything but sit by the shore and read, if you want. The host is attentive to your needs.

We returned to Fred and Aija’s cabin again this August after last staying there in 2019. It was just as perfect and beautiful as we remembered. The owners had recently renovated the cabin and we loved it! It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved starting our mornings by drinking our coffee sitting on the bench overlooking the water. It is so peaceful and tranquil with only the sounds of nature present. At night you can see all of the stars and it’s mesmerizing. We highly recommend staying here as the location is convenient to get to Acadia National Park and we also enjoying going to Ellsworth for brunch - it’s a cute downtown area.

Everything about this place was perfect, as you can see from the photos and reviews left by others. Both my wife and I found the host, Fredi, to be a most fascinating and thoughtful person. His wisdom, demeanor, and outlook on life gave us something to think about and talk about throughout the remainder of our trip in Maine. We would love to go back and have a longer conversation with him.

Perfect, serene, private and completely lovely. Fredi is an excellent host and it was exactly what we hoped for to relax and soak up Maine. The quiet peacefulness of the bay was idyllic. The soft pine needle path to Blunts Pond was a daily joy. We’d love to return.

July 4th Long Weekend

My wife and I spent the weekend at The Studio. It was a perfect base point for adventures in Acadia, Bar Harbor, and SW Harbor. We enjoyed catching up with our host and spending time on the porch enjoying the cool weather & wildlife.

Beautiful, peaceful cove

Perfect cozy cottage right on the water, bald Eagle’s, osprey’s in the trees, many different sea birds to watch from the porch as well as deer on the property, short trip to bar harbor and many other places to see, leaving the cottage was hard to do, host are very nice people , just simply loved our trip

Hidden gem near Acadia with amazing views

Ralph and I had the most relaxing, wonderful stay at this beautiful, quaint, well-appointed studio on the bay. Hands-down, the best stay we have ever had in Maine and the views are just spectacular - definitely a new favorite spot for us. Thanks again to Fredi and Aija for your hospitality!

Very Peaceful

We really enjoyed our stay. We reserved this cabin to visit nearby Acadia. While we loved Acadia, it was so nice to come back to such a quiet,peacefully cabin to overlook the cove. While one of our days ended up being a rainout, it was really nice place to spend the day indoors.
