Cozy cabin in the heart of off-road heaven! Bring your SxS's and sunscreen!

Nestled at the foot of Monument Butte, this little cabin is perfect for those looking to get out of town and into nature... or off-road! Spend your day hitting the 4x4 trails in the Flattops Wilderness-- 235,214 acres of Colorado's best kept off-road secret. A quick ride down a dirt road on your side-by-side will bring you to some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. If fishing is your thing, the Aldrich lakes are remote and the fish are plentiful (30min ride from cabin). Take the dirt roads 8 miles to enter Yellowjacket Pass- the gateway to the White River National Forrest and Routt National Forrest-- or keep going on the UTV trail to Meeker for some great food & a lively brewery. Need to unwind? Relax on the 1000sq ft deck with a glass of wine and watch the wildlife. Sit in the hot tub and watch the shooting stars or listen to the coyotes howl. The possibilities are endless in this area of northern Colorado. We have 38 acres and border BLM on all sides. Want a challenge? Hike up Monument Butte-- it is literally your backyard.
If you are looking for a staging area to scout deer & elk in GMU 12 before hunting season, this is your place. Hunting season will be here sooner than you think!
Ideally located, our cozy cabin is 20 minutes away from Craig and roughly 25 minutes from Meeker. Both towns offer restaurants, breweries, gas stations, grocery stores and shopping. Excellent first aid and medical care can be found in either town as well.

PLEASE NOTE:
- We have 3+ barn cats working on the property. They keep the rodents and snakes away & this is VERY beneficial to the property. We love the cats and treat them like family. We welcome dogs but if your dog has any aggression towards our "employees," please keep your dogs leashed while outside.

- We haul water in from town so we ask that you please conserve water.

This place had everything we needed for a weekend away. Being out of the city lent itself to a very dark sky, perfect for stargazing, and our dogs loved having so much space to run around in the yard. They have all of the bathroom and kitchen essentials too, which adds to the ease of a vacation.

Stunning view of the stars and a bluff. A truly remote experience with thoughtfully designed, charming decor. The host was very responsive and caring. They left us a case of craft beer and installed an air conditioning unit because we were in an unprecedented heat wave. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. Beds were cozy. We would highly recommend it if you're looking for a place filled with beauty and solitude.

Kris & I bought this property three years ago as a place to get away TO. We needed to get out of the Summit County crowds and seemingly endless winters. The home is a remodeled mobile home that we gutted right down to the studs and remodeled as best we could considering what it us. It is not perfect by any means & it is definitely not for everyone, but to us, it is our favorite place in the world and we wouldn't change a thing. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Gorgeous rural northern Colorado-- for us, its heaven.
Our little home borders BLM land on three sides (Monument Butte is over 150 acres directly out the front door). The "neighborhood" consists of ranchers, farmers, and livestock. Don't be surprised to see cows wander up the driveway and munch on the grass in our yard. Deer are everywhere, as are eagles, hawks, and ground squirrels.
One of our favorite activities is hopping in the SxS and driving to Meeker for breakfast or dinner. On the way to Meeker, you pass stunning views of hay fields, snow-capped mountains, and plentiful wildlife (and lots of sheep).
