The pictures are a bit misleading; I thought the cabin was right on the river, not across the street. The stairs and handrail were so rickety and scary, my husband had a nightmare the first night that I had fallen on them. There was gap a with mossy stones where there was not even a handrail. The place was so full of tchotkes, that it was hard to find a place to put our things down. There was a huge spiderweb over the hot water heater, and roaches and other spiders crawling around. When I asked what size the beds were, I was told they were queens. They were both full size and very hard, not a good night's sleep for either my husband and I. The bathroom was tiny and the toilet was very short, not great for people in their 70's. The shower was a laughable plastic cubicle. There were two mismatched glasses to drink out of. The hosts were very nice, but nice doesn't cut it when you're paying full price. The only saving grace was the canoe and lovely river. I don't like leaving bad reviews, in fact, I never have, but paying customers have a right to know what they're getting into.

I was so surprised with this review. When we spoke you seemed to be enjoying everything. The pictures posted through VRBO are clear. It is explained the cabin is on a hill across the road from the river. The details explain double beds. The pictures show the steps. I am puzzled with the reference rickety and scarey. The town would not give us a permit if that were the case. We get inspected every year. Also most of our guest complement us on our linens and comfortable beds. I was unaware of the few drinking glasses and that will be taken care of. Also we have Terminix monthly but they must have skipped the area near the water heater. We will fix that. The pictures show the bathroom is small so we are unable to install a larger shower and toilet. I am sorry you were unhappy with your stay but at least you got to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and use of the canoe on the river.

The Cozy Cottage was a perfect get-away for my friends and I. The cabin is really cozy and the view and river access is incredible. We loved the neighborhood and Callicoon has a vibrant/artisy scene.

My boys and I had a great time staying here as a home base for fishing and rafting in the Delaware and going into town for a movie. If you're coming to the area, you can't go wrong!

Lovely little cottage, with an incredible view of the river! My elderly father and I felt right at home, and it was conveniently located for our trip to the Museum at Bethel Woods. We had everything we needed and Pat gave us a very nice welcome. I would highly recommend the Cozy Cottage.

Cozy, cozy property set on the side of a hill with a lovely view of the Delaware. We were there in June and it was nice and quiet, during peak summer months may be more bustling. All-in-all, a pleasant stay.

Enjoyed our short stay in this cozy retreat by the Delaware river. Pat was a joy to work with. The little village of Callicoon was a surprise treat for us. Would definitely return.

Absolutely beautiful!

Quaint little cottage on the Delaware River. Clean & well cared for. Owners are friendly and helpful. The view is breathtaking. We were only there for a quick getaway to visit family in the area- wish we could have stayed longer!

great wholesome fun

The cottage was clean and cozy and Pat was really nice. It was great going canoeing, swimming and spending the day on the delaware river. We didn't have to go anywhere else! There was even a box of games and toys to keep my 6 and 4yr old entertained! We had a great stay and would definitely come again!

Best weekend!

This is our 4th trip to the cozy cottage and we are already planning our 5th!! The location is amazing, the house is perfect, has everything you need. Perfect location by the river, for a lazy day hanging by the water. Pat and Andy are great hosts, always so welcoming and helpful. We absolutely love it there. Cannot recommend it enough!!

Very cute and cozy

We were going to a concert at Bethel Woods and need a place to stay for two nights. This cottage fit the bill! It's very cute and cozy and overlooks the Delaware River. Callicoon is two minutes away with a brewery, a few restaurants and some fun thrift stores. Pat and Andy were very great.

Amazing getaway on the Delaware

The cabin is so much fun!! Feet away from the Delaware river. Kayaks cabins and rowboats to use. A fire pit. The cabin itself is so hide and cozy. Walking distance from town and a great park for my son. The porch is so nice to sit and have a drink at night 5 stars. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!
