Our host was great, the cottage was as advertised and very comfortable. We had a great time and enjoyed the lake views especially at sunset. The welcome gifts were appreciated. There were a couple of small issues that were quickly resolved. Awesome host!!!!!!

In our 50's and young at heart, my wife and I really needed some one-on-one time to relax and regroup, and this stay was the perfect opportunity to accomplish that. The cottage is perfect in it's location, amenities, and provisioning in terms of a comfortable, quiet, serene, and beautiful sanctuary in which to rest. The pillows are awesome...just sayin! The host is well practiced in what I would describe as "true southern hospitality", and goes above and beyond expectations in a friendly and considerate manner, and really wants you to have an amazing experience. We will definitely be returning!

My family and I had the BEST time at Polly’s lake house! The house was beautiful and was super clean! It had the most beautiful views, and the kayaking was the icing on the cake! Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend!

The place was wonderfull! Sowcial attention to details. Gift bag was unexpected. Along with snacks and drinks provided. Was a very nice touch. Even umbrellas to use, which came in handy. Over all was a great place to stay and will come again!

The perfect little cottage to get away from it all! Cozy comfort with spectacular views of the lake from every room! We wanted a peaceful place to relax and do a little hiking, and this place was wonderful for both. We will be back!

Lovely accommodations with many amenities. Cottage is immaculate. Quiet and peaceful with a magnificent view morning, day, and night. Nice reading nook on the upper patio. Easy access to Land Between the Lakes and Lake Barkley State Resort Park.Highly recommend. We look forward to returning to Lakeshore Cottage.

The cabin was appointed so nicely. Love the special touches and attention to detail. The only negatives were the size of the sofa (much too small for my 6'2" and 216 lb. guy. The other negative that was a major detraction was the smell coming from the shower. Hope you get the shower repaired because we would love to come and stay another time.

My husband and I recently stayed at this property for 4 nights and it was wonderful. Everything is clean and nice with lots of special little touches. The cottage, the view, check in, and communication with the owner was all 5 stars. I highly recommend this property and hope to stay again in the future, perfect getaway!!

I can’t say enough great things about this property. Beautiful inside and out, incredible view, location and special little thoughtful touches I’ve never seen any where else. Host was wonderful to work with and very helpful. Hope to visit again in near future.

The sky was great it had a really nice view we enjoyed it it was nice and quiet lots of steps to go down of course to go swimming and but it had a great view otherwise at this point the owner is trying to blame us before something we did not do and turned it into the insurance company there was a crack in the shower they had a towel put over it to cover it up that we did not do so unfortunately we probably will not stay there again

Our stay was wonderful! Polly provided everything anyone could need, besides food, property was clean, view was amazing, and overall stay was excellent. Will definitely recommend this place! Polly was also very responsive and went above and beyond with our expectations with the property!

Weekend Getaway

My wife and I made our first visit to Lake Barkley while staying at this wonderful home. Polly is an excellent host and everything about her home was above and beyond expectations. I cannot imagine a more perfect spot on the lake for a relaxing weekend.

Above and Beyond

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of this property. The open concept provides amazing panoramic views of the lake from each room in the house. The hospitality of the hosts is second to none. Their attention to detail and the special little touches like supplying fresh fruit, water, juices, and a warm welcome package ensures their guests feel right at home! The house is inviting and relaxing with all the modern conveniences. Be sure to brew yourself a cup of coffee to watch the sunrise peak through the trees from the front of the property or pour a nightcap and sit out on the back deck to watch the colorful sunset over the lake.We could not say enough great things about the house or the hosts to do it justice. You'll just have to visit for yourself! The weather turned while we were there and we, unfortunately, had to cut our trip short to return home. The owners we extremely responsive of the situation and kept our safety as a priority. They informed us that there was a storm shelter at the property and even offered to refund the remaining days if we needed to leave early. The genuine kindness and understanding from our hosts was so appreciated! We can't wait to make a return trip and spend a little more time here. The house, the hosts- truly above and beyond what we would have imagined. Ten out of ten for sure!

Beautiful cottage on the lake

I was looking for a nice place to stay around the land between the lakes area. This place did not disappoint. Everything was immaculate! The lake view was stunning. We had fresh fruit, a few little snacks and drinks and a nice welcome gift waiting for us when we arrived. I really appreciated that extra touch. I definitely recommend this propeety. property!

Beautiful & Relaxing

I had the opportunity to stay in this cottage for a weekend prior to my 50th birthday. The place was clean, user friendly, has lots of nice amenities, and has a beautiful view of the lake and stars. It was a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. The host was very informative and makes the process really easy. Thanks for a great stay!
