They do need to do some minor repairs. The tv in the bedroom was too far from the receptacle. There were weak places in the floor. The bar stools were a hazard. Somebody will fall if not repaired.

No Communication/No Comfort

After having to reach out to the host to receive the door code & wifi information, they never responded to any additional questions I had. The neighborhood was questionable which they had an ADT security system in place but there were no instructions on how to use it (& I inquired with the host a couple times with no response)

The home was aesthetically pleasing to look at.The living room couch had tears/rips in cushions, which had been mentioned previously on another review. This is a infection control issue. The flooring was sticky and made noise when walking. Both bathroom closets had what appeared to be linin on the closet floor, did know if clean or dirty. We had to hang our clothes in the closet. This is a infection control issue. The toilet in back bedroom had to be plunged, water leaking from around base of toilet. Numerous deodorizers that trigged my asthma. Numerous spices and condiments left in upper kitchen cabinet. Never is supposed to be left behind and if they do leave stuff, it should be throwed away. This is a infection control issue. Fire place heater seem to control heat in other parts of house. Poor water pressure in both bath in shower.There was a junk drawer in the kitchen which I felt was inappropriate. Mop was dirty and not stored appropriately. I was very concerned about the poor infection control practices. There is lumps in the flooring especially walking into the first bedroom.

Has potential

Overall there was plenty of room for us adults and dog to spread out and be comfortable.However the code to get into the place was apparently sent to an old email I had and when I tried to reach out to the manager i did not receive a response. I ended up live chatting with an individual who was able to help me.There was a broken closet door in the bathroom. Also there was a broken towel rack in the other bathroom. In the coffee maker there was an old coffee filter with mold on it. All the grout in the one shower was falling off and needed to be replaced. It would have been nice to have dish soap available too.Like i said the place was very roomy and nice, but with a little more tender loving care, it could be a wonderful place!

St Jude Marathon Weekend

Our stay was good. We have no real complaints. The central heat and air is still not working but the space heaters and electric fireplaces are adequate to keep the house warm. There is train tracks a couple houses down which can wake you if you are a light sleeper. The train also parks blocking the road every evening we were there for a couple of hours so you do need to come into the neighborhood a different way. It was a great location for the marathon. The beds and pillows are hard so if your use to a soft mattress you may not sleep as well. We never received check out instructions so we just texted that we left but the check in was very easy and very prompt to our text message for the instructions. Over all it was a good stay. wake you

Couldn’t even stay it stuck so bad

Horrible neighborhood broken down home front door had obviously been kicked in. Windows don’t have screens and broken tools and parts left around. We walked into a wall of pot and cigarette smoke smell and opened the house for an hour to try and make it sleepable but both of my children have asthma and my daughter and I started coughing after being in the home for a half hour. Called the owner to tell him about the situation and my children’s health he said it had been cleaned and didn’t smell. Refused to help. There wasn’t even any soap to wash out hands with except a watered down bottle of dawn dish soap.

Several issues during our visit - air conditioning not working properly and smoke alarms beeping. I had to reach out to VRBO to get in touch with host - was told the coils on the air unit were cleaned and air was working. When we returned to the property, there was a portable unit in the kitchen with a vent hose out the window. It made the first night bearable but the unit got into mid 80s inside again next day. We were not able to stay for long periods of time at the property due to the warm inside temps. We ended up leaving early due to the air conditioning not working correctly.

I read reviews before booking this property and inquired on 2/14/26 about items that previous customers complained about, such as ripped tattered sofa, no towel rack, closet doors broken. Host response message, Yes, it was fixed; IT WAS NOT. Train track has noisy trains 75% of the day. Water leaking on the bath floor from flushed toilet, no tv remote, trash 1/2 full in trashcan upon my arrival, dirty dishes in sink prior to arrival, floors unsafe, unsteady bar stools, strong raw sewage odor, maybe related to rain water going under crawl space, strong cigarette/marijuana odor, multiple gnats in bathroom, spiderwebs in shower, no control knobs on fireplace heater, outlet in 2nd bedroom not working. The property host/owner need to do a walk through and correct all the repairs and issues. Property host need to listen to property guests. The property has potential, but the owner need to fix the issues and don’t cover up the odor/repair issues with febreeze plug-ins, candles and decorations.
No door to crawl space, standing water is bad.
No towel rack
Closet door hang off, dangerous
No blinds/curtains; for privacy at night, we covered with towel for safety

Nothing about this was acceptable from exposed wiring to missing smoke detector filthy carpet bath closet door fell off lock on front door was broken had to push the sofa against the door and sofa was torn to shreds hole in bedroom floor house smelled of cigarettes and Marijuana toilet would not flush house Is not up to building code potential fire hazard none of the receptacles in bedrooms were working .so many to list seriously advise you to not consider staying here .
