À propos de cet hébergement

Spacious log home w/own secluded beach. Breathtaking views, pet friendly.

Robison Lodge was Patsy Robison's retirement home for over ten years. She, and her whole family, loved this place and put so much of themselves into its care and maintenance. She hated to sell it. It is truly unique. Patsy has moved to be closer to her children, but she was delighted her home was going to be well cared for and be enjoyed by so many people. You will not find a more beautiful, secluded beach in the state of Washington. If you are lucky, you will see Gray Whales rubbing themselves on the rocks in front of the Lodge. The area teems with marine wildlife, Orcas, Humpbacks, Dahl Porpoises seals, sea lions, sea birds of every description.

Vancouver Island is visible as you look across the Strait of Juan De Fuca. Look to the northwest and you can see the gateway to the Pacific Ocean. A world-renowned fishery, you are less than ten minutes away from Mason's Resort in Sekiu with its docks, launch and charters. Watch the cruise ships and freighters go by in the busy shipping lanes.

You will find Robison Lodge spacious, well appointed, tastefully decorated, immaculately clean. The one thing we are certain of as we start this venture, most of you will want to come back and we are sure many of you will. You will not find a vacation rental like this again.

Be respectful of the beach and be cautious. There are very strong tidal currents and swimming is dangerous in these waters and at your own risk.
Use the garbage disposal sparingly, if at all. Use it to clear the drain, not to dispose of garbage. Please run hot water for a minute after use.
Be careful with fires. The summers can be very dry here. If you are uncomfortable operating the fireplace feel free to contact us. Be careful.

gorgeous place, funky couches
We went out for a sweet family weekend. Being able to bring the doggo was great, except we didn't think about 'pet friendly' including cats and our 5 year old had to leave after the first night as a result of reacting to the couches and carpets that had obviously been well love by some kitties. As a family we have loads of critters he's already been around and been fine with so we were surprised there was enough cat dander to get him going. A little heads up in the ad would definitely help, or some new couches and a deep carpet cleaning. The private beach has fabulous low tide pools and the hot tub was great. Overall a sweet spot on the coast.

Janette and I are from Nebraska, but we have been coming out to Puget Sound for our vacations for over fifty years. We are semi-retired now and we want to share this beautiful home in this unique location with our family and friends and others too. JoAnn and Randy Allen help us looking after the property and the guests and have been vacation rental owners for over twenty years.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Robison Lodge's location is a one of a kind. Its beach is unusually large and spacious for waterfront. The whole beach in both directions is yours for walking and the beach in front of the Lodge is our private title tidelands. Secluded beach is understatement. There are never crowds and you will usually be alone with no one in sight. The neighborhood has little turn over and ownership of property is measured in decades and counted over generations. All the homes and cabins are loved and well cared for. The neighborhood in a word is safe. Unlike most waterfront neighborhoods, this one is uncrowded, and each property seems very private, that is especially true for Robison Lodge. You will be less than ten minutes into Sekiu.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

It's impossible to find a log home that has weathered time more gracefully that Robison Lodge. All the logs are hand-scribed and have never had finishes or sealers applied. The logs have seasoned to a very light gray and look very much like the driftwood on the beach. The inside is spacious and open and truly has the look and feel of a lodge. You will be surprised at how comfortable and roomy it feels for even eight people. The views from the large front deck are breathtaking and full of dynamic change. One of the world's great fisheries and a busy water way for the major ports of Vancouver, Seattle, Tacoma and Victoria, the strait is full of ships and boats of all sizes and classes. The Gray Whales will come right up to the shoreline and feast on mussels and rub themselves on the rocks. Humpbacks and Orcas can be seen farther out. Sea Lions, Sea Otters, Dahl Porpoises, Seals, Eagles, are all here in abundance. All manner of seabirds visit these shores and waters, you'll even a puffin once and a while. There are so many hummingbirds, in season it's possible to see six of them flying around you all at once.

Some people have called this place, 'Washington Wild.' We certainly are in the borderlands of 'Washington Wild.' There is an abundance of public land nearby for hiking fishing and boating. The Olympic National Park dominates the peninsula geographically. There are the stunningly beautiful lakes. Lake Crescent, Lake Ozette, and Quinault are natural wonders and all nearby. Cape Flattery is about twenty miles away. Ocean beaches are close and accessible. There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails. There are three rain forests in the national park and a total of thirteen state parks on the Olympic Peninsula.

Victoria, Canada and Buchart Gardens, or High Tea at the Empress Hotel, are only a ferry ride away from Port Angeles. It's a nice day trip. Bring your passport. You will run out of time long before you run out of things to do.
