This is a very nice property for family/friend gatherings. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Plenty of cooking utensils and place settings. Though a few more wine glasses would be a plus. The living room is comfortable and suitable for visiting and watching television. However, it is a difficult property for old people and old dogs. The entry from the parking lot is down a flight of steps with a greater stepdown for the first step than the remaining steps. The stairs to the MBR are carpeted and railed, but they are still up. The stairs to the bottom floor are carpeted and railed but steep. Access to the lake is via a very steep paved path or steps. Though the steps have switchbacks which provide some relief, they are still steep and slippery when wet. All this is disclosed in the property description and the photos, but the experience was more difficult than expected. We did not have cell service at the property, in Cashiers, or in Highlands. That was both a blessing and a curse. It was nice to have the privacy but staying in touch with members of our group who were making excursions away from the property was not possible.Nonetheless, this is a great property for young adults and their children and young dogs. The lake, the dock, and the watercraft are great amenities. There is plenty of room and activities to do in the house. The Lake Glenville/Cashiers/Highlands area is beautiful and offers unlimited trails, waterfalls and parks to explore.
