Relax in our large hot tub after a long day exploring public beaches or Olympic National Forest. Convenient access to multiple state parks, and some of the best hiking around. Visit the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon for a drink, rent a kayak to explore Hood Canal, or have a relaxing night in and enjoy our secluded retreat.

The host was very nice and attentive. The house was big enough for a family reunion. We enjoyed the multiple rooms and places to gather or places to be away if needed. Remote location, but felt like home.

Cozy, secluded, beautiful view.

The house was lovely, beautiful view, hot tub was wonderful. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Host kept in great contact throughout visit and was accommodating. There were a few carpenter ants roaming around but its in the woods, hard to keep out all bugs. Would definitely stay again.

Nature, Comfort, and Room for Everyone

Lucy was an amazing host, great communication before arrival, during our stay, and through checkout. The home itself is beautiful, with breathtaking views and plenty of space for our family of 12. It felt secluded enough to enjoy nature and quiet time, but was still close to nearby small towns for fun outings. The beds were super comfortable, and the home was thoughtfully set up for families with young kids. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the weekend together. Highly recommend!

Great Stay

This was a great escape from the city for a relaxing long weekend with friends. It is spacious and has great sleeping arrangements. We used the kitchen heavily and it's openness into the dining area made it easy to cook and socialize. The hot tub is HUGE and able to accomadate the 10 people we had present. Tguide us to a local

Great home base

We (two couples and two teens) really enjoyed our stay at "Huge Deck" near the Hood Canal. The location was great for accessing trails, Hamma Hamma oyster bar, and the beach (all by car). There is lots of interior & exterior space and the owners provided a baby-gate to contain the dog on the deck (or downstairs). Would recommend!

Excellent home away from home!!

What a great stay!! Lucy was so easy to chat with about all my questions. The home was well stocked just like you would find at home. The deck was beyond peaceful and there was plenty of space for our two families. The hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of the day and enjoy the beautiful trees and night sky. One of the better homes we have stayed in with VRBO!!

Home not far from home

We stayed at the house for our annual Christmas weekend. We have four families, including three teenagers and this house fit the bill. Everybody had a bed to sleep on. We didn’t do much exploring outside because it rained all weekend. But the deck was large enough to kick the boys out to get some fresh air. The kitchen was stocked well with cookware and utensils. There were plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable. We would stay here again.

Idyllic and Tranquil

Our extended family (three generations) were delighted with our experience with this large, modern, and spacious home tucked into the hillside overlooking the Western shores of Hood Canal with trees of the nearby Olympic National Park and Forest being the splendid backdrop. The location is best described as idyllic isolation in a tranquil setting. While it is not close to modern conveniences (bring your provisions beforehand) it is a perfect getaway from the hustle of modern life and also well situated for outdoor pursuits in the Olympic National Park. The five bedrooms had super comfortable beds with lots of space in every room, the wifi worked fine for our family of seven, the kitchen was extremely well-stocked and is well suited for outdoor cooking on the marvelously spacious and inviting deck that surrounds three sides of the house. The inviting hot tub built into the deck is an additional extra touch. We found the space spotless and exactly as described on the website. It is a location and accommodation that puts you instantly at peace. This is a super getaway with top-of-the-line amenities. An added bonus was the extremely responsive host, Lucy. She always responded almost immediately.
