Enjoy the wooded views from the expansive front porch, make s'mores around the stone fire pit, soak in the hot tub in the enclosed sun room, curl up with a book in front of the wood-fired stove, and get cozy in the movie theatre-like loft. You will have access to a private lake and incredible hiking trails minutes from the cabin.

The cabin is aesthetically lovely and clean. The listing should note that guests are expected to bring their own firewood for both the firepit and fireplace. A clean and comfortable stay.

Overall a pleasant getaway with room for improvement

There was a lot to love about this cabin. It had plenty of space, I loved using the record player, and the wood fired stove was a wonderful feature. There are a few improvements that could be made. The hot tub had a mildew smell that may benefit from a good cleaning. There were a lot of stinkbugs (I'm not sure what can be done about that), and the kitchen cookware was not very good quality. The location was less secluded than I imagined - you can see other properties, but it was very quiet and peaceful. I also appreciated being able to park in the garage.

A wonderful getaway not far away!

We left the cabin just long enough to drive around and explore a little. Although its in a subdivision it was very quit and enjoyable. The host will respond quick to any questions . over all its a beautiful wonderful cabin.

Cozy and Charming Cabin

My mom and I booked a last minute getaway to the Good Egg cabin after having to cancel our planned trip to NC. We just wanted a peaceful, relaxing time, and it fit the bill perfectly! We truly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was so incredibly cozy, the beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. We spent a lot of time just relaxing and playing cards/ board games. I especially loved the hot tub. I also loved the upstairs bedroom and loft area that I had all to myself. It was a perfect, peaceful, and overall lovely getaway. I plan to book again with my husband so we can hike the nearby trails and use the fire pit that I didn’t get a chance to enjoy.

Raised in the Midwest, I now live and work in Washington, DC with my lovely wife Lauren and a cute calico cat (Spica). We're excited to host you in our beloved West Virginia cabin, which we call The Good Egg. We hope you will enjoy it and the Berkeley Springs area as much as we do!

In our free time we try to see the world as much as we can, whether hiking or backpacking out in nature or exploring new cities and trying all of their forms of public transportation. As both hosts and guests, we pride ourselves on being great travel partners.

The Good Egg Cabin has been lovingly renovated to highlight its rustic charm with sleek and modern comforts. We love our time spent here, and we hope you will, too!

Some of our favorite features of the home include:

- The hot tub, enjoyable year-round inside the re-done enclosed sunroom.
- Barbecue grill (propane) with outdoor dining set on the back patio.
- The stone fire pit with six Adirondack chairs to enjoy during any season! We built this firepit with stone right from the property.
- The warm and inviting loft, where two couches and the 75'' Roku TV will provide a cinematic experience.
- The upgraded kitchen that includes everything you need to make a full meal (oven, stove-top, small air fryer, mixing bowls, baking sheets, a small blender, whisk, knife set, etc.).
- The comfy living room with a wood stove to make cold nights much cozier! We keep plenty of books and board games on hand if you're looking to disconnect.
- Redone bathrooms designed for style and comfort. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer are provided.
- If you're lucky, you may have visits from deer at night and in the morning.

To make your stay as fun and comfortable as possible, please enjoy:

- Vintage-style record player/stereo (also plays music from your phone via Bluetooth or aux cord)
- A closet of games including Scrabble, Clue, The Resistance, What Do You Meme?, and more.
