Step into history! This historic home with updated modern convenience for your comfort, We have worked on this home for 2 years to save it. We total rehabbed this gem. On Merchant street-in the oldest town west of the Mississippi River.
Lewis and Clark stayed at this property.

Absolutely Amazing! Great locale in the heart of Downton Ste Genevieve. Very gracious hosts and best of all free parking! Your kiddos will love this place too!

The host was fantastic! She is very easy to communicate with! The house is in a great location to see the town. The bed was comfortable. The house itself was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch eating dinner. The house was clean and fun to stay in!

Beautiful Accommodations

The property is exceptionally charming with every amenity you could want. It's in the heart of downtown Ste. Genevieve, perfect for walking to all kinds of attractions. Also notable: we found the house to be a perfectly comfortable sanctuary, despite the sweltering heat outside.

Sisters retreat

The Dufour House was the perfect house for us! As sisters, we wanted to stay together and the house had everything we needed and more. We spent time on the back porch talking and enjoyed walking to coffee shops and restaurants that were minutes away. We were intrigued by the history of the house and the community. So much nicer than staying at a traditional hotel.

220 Merchant St, Dufour House

My wife and I had a great stay in the Dufour House. The House was charming, comfortable and in the middle of everything. We parked the car and didn't move it for three days as we could walk to wineries, restaurants, museums, and historic sites. We found the hosts most helpful and available. We would recommend the Dufour House to anyone wanting to enjoy a quiet but active vacation in Ste Genevieve, Missouri

A hidden gem!

I knew we were staying in a historic house when I booked the listing but I didn’t realize the historic significance of the building at the time. The listing undersells itself and is an absolute steal. The home is extremely clean and has more amenities than you could ever dream of. The owners were so kind and helpful. 10/10, I won’t stay anywhere else the next time we are in town.

Location, location, location! We had a wonderful stay at this charming historic home in the heart of the historic neighborhood in Ste. Genevieve. The house is beautifully decorated and well appointed—our host truly thought of everything. The bed was very comfortable, the home was spotless, and the back porch quickly became one of our favorite spots to relax.The neighborhood is friendly and welcoming, and the host was extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall, our stay was enjoyable from start to finish. We would absolutely recommend this place and would happily stay here again!

Absolutely loved this property. You are steps away literally from History. Lewis & Clark stayed here and now we did too. For an old building it was cooler than my home and had every single amenity you need, even a gas stove (rare in this part of Missouri). The host even let us check in early on an uncommonly hot and miserable day. Great proximity to everything in downtown Ste. Gen. We will be back again for sure! The kids loved it too!
