Un beau chalet du 15ème siècle près de Mayfield avec une vue imprenable

Bibleham est un chalet magnifique, confortable et douillet dans l'une des parties les plus pittoresques du sud-est de l'Angleterre, idéal pour des vacances reposantes. Privé et isolé d'une route de campagne avec de très grands jardins et une vue magnifique. Il peut accueillir jusqu'à 10 personnes dans 4 chambres. Il y a un parking sur le devant.

Plafonds bas et meubles anciens. Salle à manger lambrissée de chêne. Cuisine entièrement équipée avec four électrique / grill, plaque vitrocéramique, micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle, table avec banc. Hall / cellier attenant avec évier Belfast, placards, 1 grand réfrigérateur.

Une grande buanderie avec table de ping-pong, congélateur, lave-linge et sèche-linge. Salon spacieux avec une spectaculaire cheminée du XVe siècle, un grand canapé, plusieurs fauteuils et un lecteur CD / radio. Un salon séparé / confortable avec TV écran plat 42 pouces, DVD et grand canapé en forme de L.

Il y a un joli barbecue et un coin salon à l'extérieur pour les mois les plus chauds, avec un foyer également.

Il y a deux salles de bains à l'étage - une avec baignoire et l'autre avec douche à jets puissants. Il y a aussi des toilettes en bas.

4 chambres à l'étage, 2 avec lits doubles king size et 2 lits jumeaux - une chambre lits jumeaux a 2 lits pliants.

Le jardin est vraiment bien entretenu, avec beaucoup d'équipements sportifs différents pour divertir tout le monde. Il y a une grande piscine au fond du jardin qui est chauffée par une pompe à chaleur à air, donc s'il fait chaud dehors, il a tendance à être assez chaud à la fin du printemps, en été et au début de l'automne lorsque nous l'ouvrons pour utilisation. Il y a aussi une grande cabane de piscine pour se changer, et la grande salle a une table de billard pleine taille réquisitionnée dans un pub donc une table de bonne qualité.

Si vous voulez vous promener, les propriétaires ont cartographié quelques belles distances différentes, ou vous pouvez simplement marcher car c'est tout beau dans la région - avec beaucoup de bois, de lacs et de sentiers publics.

Le village le plus proche est Mayfield, et qui possède l'un des meilleurs restaurants de la région - The Middle House. Il en a aussi plusieurs autres et est l'un des villages du Times de l'année pour 2017 - un endroit très attrayant.

We had a wonderful stay, so spacious, quiet and everything we could possibly need. We were lucky to stay during a really hot week so made the most of the pool and shady areas in the garden. Perfect if you want somewhere away from it all

We had a wonderful week at Bibleham. The facilties are lovely. Swimming pool was great. Charming house,grounds are spectacular with beautiful views! Check in was simple and the kitchen was well equipped.

Had a great time, lovely house, cosy rooms, lovely fire, plenty to do -swimming, Sauna ,cards,games. Local amenities, handy to larger towns and the coast - Highly recommended !!!!!!!!!

Lovely relaxing week

We loved staying in Mayfield and enjoying the garden and pool, which was a highlight with the teenagers as the weather was so good. The hosts laid out really clear instructions to help our stay go smoothly. There was everything we could possibly need and the beds were very comfy. We would recommend this place to others and would love to come back again.

Amazing Setting & Garden Facilities

Beautiful setting and location, totally still and rural; exceptional garden facilities for our games mad family with so many options, and the bonus of a swimming pool. Delightful hosts who couldn't have been more responsive.

Beautiful Bibleham

Great outdoor and indoor activities - we were blessed with great weather. So peaceful and a huge garden and large pool. House is full of character with low ceilings and wonky floors but it is 15th century ! We all had a fabulous time :)

Weekend away with family and friends

A beautiful historic property situated deep in the countryside, beautiful setting. Garden was very big and perfect for the kids (aged 9 months to 9 years) to play in and they loved the pool and table tennis. The property itself has lots of character- be careful of the low beams! Lots of kitchen utensils and books to read, snug was perfect for the evenings and we had a lovely fire pit one evening. Only problem we encountered was with the heating, the hosts were easily contactable to help with this.

Family Holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, the pictures do not do it justice. The garden was huge which the boys loved. Only moan was the gardener started mowing the lawns at 8am which woke everyone and we advised the owner. Otherwise I would highly recommend.

Beautiful, peaceful family home

We had a wonderful stay in Bibleham. The garden was spectacular with all the rhododendrons and azaleas out. There was plenty of room for the whole family and so much cutlery and crockery. Beds were very comfortable but low beams caught us out several times! Thank you for providing a travel cot. The house was a great base for the family to get to a wedding nearby. We enjoyed the pool and the trampoline and the wonderful views. It was such a peaceful place to be.

Easter Getaway

We, 6 adults & 3 children, loved the house and gardens and there was a lot of activities on offer such as table tennis, darts, crocket, football, table games, etc. The kitchen facilities were very good and we loved the cosy kitchen, dinning & TV room. The living room was great and we played a few 'Articulate' games which was enjoyable. The shops were not too far away and dinning out in Mayfield was also fabulous. The only draw back was the weather. We had only 2-3 good sunny days during the week's stay but we made the most of it. Bibleham house is certainly a lovely place to stay at.

October Half Term

The views were stunning. The cottage was quaint and cosy. The pool cannot be heated at this time of year to an adequate temperature and therefore unless you have wet suits or like wild water swimming, the pool is far too cold. The pool table and table tennis table were great assets for rainy days and a great source of entertainment for everyone. The open fireplace was a great bonus and the property is large enough so that everybody can find their own space.

A great week in Mayfield

A great property and lovely gardens, with a fantastic view in a quiet location. The house is readily accessible as long as you don’t mind narrow roads. Not a property for the taller person but you do only tend to bang your head the once :) The option to have an open fire was lovely but we had a warm week for October so only used it a few nights. The house is very warm and beds comfortable. There was plenty of room for five of us plus our three dogs and the stable door in the kitchen is very useful when they had wet feet. We were hoping to be able to use the pool but the winter cover would have made this too difficult. Plenty to visit in the vicinity. We did have occasion to speak to the owners who were both lovely. It is fantastically dark in the evenings but we didn’t use the telescope and should have done in hindsight as we had a few nice clear evenings.

out of the way cottage

We had a good holiday at the cottage. It's a quirky property with a huge garden. There were lots of trees and shade to sit in and fabulous views. I watered what I could in the garden to keep it beautiful for the next people. We appreciated the swimming pool as we were there in the hottest July ever! We had some great games of pool too. The preparation of the house prior to our arrival was disappointing. The property had clearly been empty for a bit and every beam, every doorway and every corner was covered in cobwebs and spiders including the wardrobes and around the legs of tables and chairs so I spent a couple of hours vacuuming so that the family didn't have cobwebs in their hair and spiders in their clothes. The kitchen was well equipped but with a ceiling height of 6' we didn't spend alot of time in it because most of the family couldn't stand up straight in it. The tables and chairs outside were good for al fresco. We didn't use the bbq as it was still full of the debris from someone else's bbq. The wifi which runs off a mobile booster worked well for us and a couple of essential Teams meetings were fine. There were a few strips of leather on some of the doorways to indicate how low they were but we all came a cropper a few times on the very low headroom. The house had lots of decorative things in it - pictures and ornaments and shelves of books to make it homely. Overall we had a good holiday but the low beams were just too low for us.

This property was ideal for our party aged 8yrs-70yrs. The secure garden is magnificent with plenty of room for family games of cricket, football,easter egg hunt plus outdoor dining and relaxing. We were too early to use the swimming pool but had endless use of the table tennis and pool tables. The kitchen was well equipped , beds all very comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful week and would definitely book to stay again.

Amazing!

Beautiful quaint cottage with large grounds and beautiful scenery. Great communication with the hosts. They were ever so helpful. The kitchen had plenty of utilities and dishes and tray/pots/pans etc for a large group. Plenty of things to do and rooms clean and comfortable. Was a lot bigger than what we expected. The pool was a nice, but probabaly didn’t seem as clean as we would of liked. Also had an issue with showers and hot water. Was quite difficult to get hot water. But we didn’t mind too much as it was warm weather. Overall great stay and will definitely book again.
