With multiple fishing spots near by it is a great place to come and get early spring fishing. The golf courses give you access to enjoy the summer in the mountains and test out your skills at nearby country clubs. The hiking trails are part of the Appalachian Trail that spans all the way from Georgia. There are also smaller hikes to enjoy, like Bigelow Mountain, Quill Hill, Grand Falls, Sugarloaf, Snow Mountain to overlook the Chain of Ponds, Flaggstaff Mountain to look down at the lake, or West Kennebago. The options for outdoor recreation is endless.
