This was a great stay. From the welcoming host to the beautiful home. We were close to many food and fun places. I will definitely be returning.

Could’ve been great but…

My husband and I stayed for my birthday with our family and to say we were disappointed when we got there would be an understatement. The area and the house itself was beautiful. The inside… not so much. After we booked and only a couple days before we were going to leave, we got a message saying the jacuzzi was out of order, and that was the main reason we booked the house. We arrived late at night and when we did the first thing my husband noticed is that the garage door was open enough for several small animals to make their way in if they were so inclined to. When we entered the house, there was a mouse sized hole in the wall as soon as you walked in the door. My husband planned to cook for my birthday but when we inspected the cabinets, there was virtually nothing aside from what looked like either little bugs or droppings of some kind. The pots and pans that were available didn’t look Iike they had been cleaned in months and looked about 10 years old. There was no way for air flow of any kind unless you left any of the windows open that either had no screens or giant holes in them. Almost all the doors to the bathrooms did not close or lock properly and anyone could just walk in. And the upstairs shower was leaking and had a puddle on the floor as soon as we arrived. The pool table in the garage was a nice touch but the garage smelled a little like animal urine since the door had been left open so it was pretty much unusable. Bottom line is we left very disappointed.

Too much potential to be so disappointed…

I will start this review by saying that I believe the most disappointing thing about our stay was the amount of potential this house had. Before we even stayed at the house, we got a message a couple days before our stay saying “the hot tub was not working”. I responded saying “oh man. That’s one of the reasons we chose this place” and the response was “I know. I’m sorry.” That response was disappointing but I appreciated the heads up and figured the house would make up for it…LET ME SAY… we were so disappointed by how dirty the house was. Every where there was a carpet was covered in dirt and filth. There was barely any toilet paper in the bathrooms (about half a roll in each bathroom & there was six of us). The door to one of the rooms upstairs wouldn’t close/lock so it was difficult to have privacy while using the bathroom (because the 2 rooms were connected by the bathroom). The curtains in one of the bedrooms was touching the floor, covering the heater, and that seemed like a fire hazard to us but since it was FREEZING we had to try to make it work. The color schemes and the house itself were just beautiful. The hot tub that wasn’t working was gorgeous. But we couldn’t enjoy anything once we saw how dirty it was. The icing on the cake probably was when I sent a message of issues to the owner of the house and I got no response at all. I assume it was because we were leaving the next day, so it “didn’t matter” and that fact is very sad and unprofessional.
