The Blue Water Inn and Suites is a prime location in downtown Friday Harbor, just around the corner from the ferry dock!

If you are looking for a comfortable, clean room with a private bathroom, look no further. Leave your vehicle behind for the convenience of exploring on-foot or take a short walk to any of the shuttle or trolley pick up spots! This location is steps away from the delicious restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and parks that Friday Harbor offers.

You can relax and watch a movie in your private room with two queen beds and a full bathroom.

The China Pearl Suite is located off of Spring Street and when windows are open, you may hear slight street noise.

This is the perfect spot for a solo traveler, couples, or a group trip to San Juan Island. Rent a single room or multiple rooms for your experience on San Juan Island.

Friday Harbor Quick Visit

Great stay for a quick trip to Friday Harbor and San Juan Island. Great concept of individual rooms similar to a hotel with great common space! Will definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our Stay

We really enjoyed our weekend on the island. I’m glad we chose Blue Water Suites for our 2 night stay. It was a great location. I personally loved the community style main area. Everyone was respectful and kind. I definitely plan on staying again next year!

Disc golf in the rain;)

Killer spot just off the ferry. Super clean, sweet beds, walk to everything. Disc golf in Roche Harbor was amazing!

A Little Gem

We stayed at the Blue Water Inn for a girls’ trip, and we were pleasantly surprised. Management was wonderfully communicative. The property was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable, and the location was fabulous! We loved being able to walk around downtown and explore the harbor.

Clean but very hot at night

The room was very clean &new, very basic but the thermostat was set at 80 degrees. We tried to contact the VEBO rep several times. They finally responded that there was a fan in the room & that should suffice. Luckily it cooled down outside but I would not stay there in the summer.

Since your requests came through via email after our office was closed, we did not receive your messages until our office opened in the morning. Our after-hours phone number is posted in the suite and in the check-in directions. There is AC in the common area and fans are provided in the rooms. We apologize that you felt your needs were not being acknowledged; that is the opposite experience we wish for our guests.

Great property but too noisy

The room was clean and spacious, but the road noise was pretty bad. If you have a sensitive sleep you should avoid this place (and probably any other place that faces the Spring street

The location is great for walking Friday Harbor as you are staying directly in the middle of town. The drawback was the noise level. Our room (1 out of 6 with a shared dining/living room space) was the China Pearl and we overlooked Spring street which is the main boulevard through town and directly across from the ferry load/unload zone so during the ferry unload there is an excessive amount of traffic and subsequently noise. The room itself was very clean and new feeling with plenty of space but not much in it. Could use a desk or possibly a small couch. Three large windows so even on a hot day we could regulate the temperature as there was no air conditioning. There was a large fan in the room which helped considerably but there was no box of tissue and we only had one wash cloth between the two of us for three nights. The shared space was very large and the kitchen was clean and had anything you might need to prepare meals. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends as long as you get the China Pearl (3 large windows) or the Shogun which I believe has its own balcony.

You are walking distance to all shops, restaurants and all that the harbor has to offer. The room was very clean and comfortable. Lots of space for 2 or even 4 people. With the added bonus of the living area (shared with other guests), its super convenient. While we were there, we did not see another person so we really used the living spaces for lounging and making snacks and cocktails. The view is a little obstructed but you can still see the harbor. I would definitely stay here again.
