Tony and Janelle were wonderful hosts. The casita was amazing, we had a wonderful time. It was the perfect place for our little weekend get away. The views all around were breathtaking. We got to tour their earth home which was absolutely stunning. Will definitely be going back again.

Lovely casita

I enjoyed my stay at this casita, and the hosts were very welcoming. Everything was provided that I needed. My only criticism is that I don't recall the description of the property including the fact that it is way out in the desert - 4.3 miles on a dirt road, and quite a ways from Taos. It wasn't really a problem, but I would have liked to have known. When it became obvious that men would be working near the property the entire time I was there, the host made a generous adjustment to my fee.

Great place just to sleep and head out for our daily activities. It’s a small casita with a queen bed (but felt like a double) no kitchen no air conditioner so it was hot at night although they did provide us with a fan. The coffee maker works but it’s very old so it takes a long time to brew the coffee. (Bring your own coffee) Towels were rough to dry with. And the hot tub you can use is part of the owners house so just something to keep in mind. Road to get to the casita is not paved and a little maintenance would probably help for the best. It’s about a 15-20 min drive into that unpaved road. Overall a good stay if you’re looking for a secluded quiet place.

We loved our stay! The Casita is positioned perfectly to see the sun rise over the mountain in the morning, and the sunsets are absolutely gorgeous! The mountain views are stunning. We enjoyed the walking trails. Our hosts Janelle and Tony are awesome people.

Might be my favorite short-term rental I’ve ever stayed in.I don’t know how we got so lucky! My boyfriend was working in the area (Philmont) and we needed a place to stay while I came to visit. We wanted somewhere convenient to Taos, somewhere private, and somewhere with the undeniable magical charm of northern New Mexico. This VRBO exceeded all of our expectations. Tony and Janelle were absolutely lovely hosts, the location was perfect, the room was clean, updated, and in amazing condition. Exceptional quality, especially for the very reasonable price. I do not leave reviews unless I really know that it is a perfect place. We will be back!

I can’t say enough good things about Janelle and Tony’s lovely place..it was such a perfect “home away from home” to spend my time in the Taos area. Just close enough to town for easy access, but far enough on the outskirts that it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. It was spotless, very nicely appointed, and the hosts were so welcoming, without being at all obtrusive. I’ll definitely stay again!!

I love this place!

This was such a wonderful place to stay. Tony and Janelle are very warm and welcoming people who make for excellent hosts. The casita is very clean and charming and the environment is so quiet and still. I could hear everything happening in the natural world, which gives the place a certain magic and gravity. It’s a great place to watch clouds develop on the horizon and the stars are brilliant at night. It’s definitely a place I hope to return.

Honeymoon escape

Our hosts were extremely kind and gave us a very sweet card and a bottle of wine upon realizing this was our honeymoon spot. The area is beautiful and is 30 minutes from the heart of Taos, but feels very private and secluded. The property was beautiful and the hosts were kind and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Taos Casita

My partner and I spent 4 days at Janelle & Tony's lovely casita. It was very nice - clean and inviting and very secluded. They were great hosts and made our stay special. Ww will definitely be rebooking if/when we return to Taos. (hopefully next time the weather will cooperate)

Beautiful get-a-way!

We had a wonderful time staying at this Bella Casita. Our hosts were gracious and welcoming and very interesting people. The Casita was charming, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. There is a front porch with rocking chairs, a grill for cooking, a table for eating outside, and phenomenal views. We were surrounded by mountains that shifted in color and tone depending on the time of day and the weather. The wind would kick up, and there were a few marvelous thunder storms in which the mountains disappeared and, as the storms moved away, the mountains returned in a veil of mist. Night time viewing showed a sky full of stars and bright and bold moon rises. The place was serene, quiet, secluded, safe, and had very good vibes. We truly enjoyed the week we spent here and would gladly return for another visit. We highly recommend this beautiful, magical little spot for anyone who wants quiet, contemplation, big skies, and a sense of peace and well-being.

Scenery Can't Be Beat!

This is a lovely, quiet, beautiful, private, peaceful property. If you are looking for some place to get away from it all, this property is it! There are gorgeous mountains and sagebrush. There's a small kitchen area, no burners or oven, but there is a propane grill and microwave. There's also a small refrigerator and some small appliances, a coffee maker and a countertop grill. The WiFi signal was good. There's a TV but we didn't turn it on the whole time we were. There's no AC but there was a box fan, and the temperature was so moderate you didn't need more than the fan. Highly recommended for a serene stay near Taos.

Gorgeous views

I had the most relaxing stay here. The views are spectacular anytime of day, but i especially loved the sunrise/sunset and the night sky was amazing. Great walks that smell of sage from the property. The bed was comfy and the hosts were lovely. I wholeheartedly recommend.

Wonderful stay!

We stayed at the property for 4 nights. Tony and Janelle make the property very welcoming. Beautiful surroundings, wife love it. Enjoyed looking at the sky at night time and having a cup of coffee in the mornings outside in the patio. Would definitely use again when in Taos.

Favorite stay we’ve ever had!!

my mom and I were in Taos for the weekend and got to stay at Janelle and Tony’s sweet Casita. It was one of the best stays we’ve ever had with VRBO! The space was perfect, clean and airy and so much room for the two of us. It was the most quiet location we could have asked for while still being close to town, incredible views of the mountains and lots of outdoor seating for us to sit in the sunshine and read or drink our morning coffee. The bed was super comfortable and the unit was well supplied with everything we needed. Janelle and Tony were incredible hosts and so welcoming — I am already planning my stay to go visit them again! Absolutely loved everything about this experience, if you’re considering staying here
 do it!!

Amazing home away from home

Janelle and Tony are incredibly welcoming and make every effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Overlooking the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, their beautiful home is close to hiking, rafting, and fishing opportunities along the Rio Grande gorge but far enough away from Taos so one can experience the gorgeous sunrises, sunsets, and nighttime skies in solitude. The hot tub and landscaping are an added plus. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Peaceful with amazing views

Really enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista. The host Janelle and Tony are very nice and left us to ourselves. But were only a text away if anything needed. Beautiful views of both sunrise and sunset. Very quiet and peaceful for a couple. Casita was very clean and comfortable. We highly recommend that you stay there.

Amazing Studio!!!

This beautiful studio is in the middle of the most amazing natural setting. The views of the land and the mountains on the background are the most breathtaking I have experienced. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful peaceful setting. Very clean and comfortable!!!

A Dream Come True

Tony & Janelle will not be forgotten. They are the utmost perfect host. Friendly, open & delightful. The Casita was Beautiful. However it was outside where the magic takes place, 360° views, starlit nights where we seen 5 shooting stars with the Milky Way Galaxy right above with colors I didn't realize existed in the Starry night.. Taos isn't far away & plenty other destinations to visits, we experienced Thunder & Lightning all around us as we watched through the nights. I'd give Janelle & Tony, a 100 star rating if I could.. However they have billions right over their heads.. We'll definately be staying a time or 2 again. Thank you for your hospitality & most of all your kindness
