Things I very much appreciated: This was a very nice house with a wonderful location. Lots nearby and easy access to go other places. The host was very responsive and helpful. Though we didn’t use the kitchen, it was very well stocked. The one drawback: the listing says the beds are queens. They seemed like full-size. A tight fit for two.

Very clean and well stocked home. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, paper towels, paper plates etc. Matt was easy to communicate with, and the neighborhood was very quiet. Highly recommended!

The neighborhood was so quiet. The house is right across from a school but you never bear anything going on over there. The rooms were spacious. Plenty of room to move around and get dressed. We had 2 bathrooms which we love. The host(ess) thought of everything. Plenty of towels, extra blankets, Kleenex around the house, tons of toilet paper if needed, garbage cans had extra bags in them, even had phone chargers in the office room. This is definitely on our list for next time in the area.

We had a great stay. The house is very comfy and has everything you need. It's also close and convenient to the grocery store, restaurants, shopping and anything else you need. We hope to visit again soon.

Much better than expected. If I had a rental, this is how I would setup with all the amenities like a hotel from both bathrooms, to kitchen, to living rooms and the 2 bedrooms. The water station was icing on the cake. The decorations were spot on. The parking was indeed a pleasant surprise. Matt is obviously a very organized and pay attention to details owner! Only confusion was 2 beds vs 3 as one of the 3 is a rollaway. The location was perfect for my son’s wedding weekend at BDCC and JGS. Compliments to the “chef”, lol

Our Stay

The layout of the house is nice, and the location is centrally located in Monroe. It is an active street, so you do get some road noise. The check in and out process was easy.Some things that could be improved. The bathrooms could have been cleaned better. There was hair/dirt on the backs and bases of the toilet seats, and hair/dirt in the tub/shower. The mirrors had residue on them. They could both use a deeper cleaning. Also, the beds are full sized, not queen. The listing should be updated to reflect that as it was a tight squeeze for our party.The cost per night was very reasonable compared to some other houses in the general location.

Nice & Quite Neighborhood

It was a welcoming VRBO. We felt like it was home. It was clean, spacious, safe and comfortable. Owner was very friendly, humble and easy to talk to. Well educated. Knows a lot about U. S. & World History.

Monroe Trip

Very clean and comfortable house with a really nice backyard. Grandchildren really enjoyed swinging in the large egg shaped chair swing. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with essentials. Great location in a nice neighborhood.

Love this place

We love this place!! It’s our home away from home. This place has everything you will ever need to feel at home. It’s a very nice quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood is centrally located with all of Monroe’s best places minutes away. Matt is an awesome host.

A great time!

We had a great time at this lovely home in the Garden District of Monroe. Very clean and comfortable, and we used it to rest up between activities: touring Biedenharn Gardens/Museums and a concert at ULM by the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. There are some great restaurants nearby, and this was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. We’re already planning a return trip!

Softball Trip

My daughter had a softball tournament in the area and we chose to stay in a house vs hotel. I have no complaints about the house, it was very nice. It is an older house that’s been remodeled inside. Clean, neat, decorated nicely, and in a good neighborhood. We had everything we needed.Would recommend and if in the area we would stay again

Nice and comfortable home and good location for a visit to the area.

My sister and I stayed for almost a week to attend to some family affairs in Monroe and West Monroe. This home was great for us. We were able to have cousins and friends over for dinner on different days and our nephew, wife and daughter stayed over one night with enough room for the five of us. The office area with desk setup was nice as we both had zoom meetings during the week. If it had not been so cold (week of the snow storms) I am sure we would have really enjoyed the fenced in back yard and patio. Kitchen was well stocked and owner provided paper products enough for the whole week, so not much dish washing needed. Yay! Extra parking in addition to the driveway and carport for visitors. We would stay there again. Host was very nice and accommodating. Location was convenient to all amenities needed.
