Pet friendly MIL Suite, Caldwell ID. Private hot tub/pool in beautiful backyard

This mother-in-law suite is the perfect home away from home! Located in Caldwell, Idaho just 5 minutes from downtown, 5 minutes from the College of Idaho, and 15 minutes from the Snake River Valley Wine Region, you won't be short of things to do in the area. However, if you're more of a relax and unwind person, the Suite itself is also perfect for you. The bathroom features a two person soaker tub/shower combo and marble vanity. In the living area, you will find a flat screen TV, a comfy couch that faces a cozy electric fireplace, and a cute kitchenette (please note: kitchenette does NOT mean full-sized kitchen) equipped with fridge, microwave, small slow cooker, coffee maker, blender, and griddle. The bedroom offers a soft, king-sized bed, another flat screen TV, black out curtains, two large closets, and a patio door that exits directly onto a private deck beside the private pool*, with the hot tub just around the corner. While we (the owners) reside in the main house attached to the Suite, a separate entrance ensures your privacy.

We have set up this Suite so that you and a few friends can stay all together if you wish. Extra sleeping options include a queen-sized pull out couch, a queen-sized air mattress, and a twin-sized air mattress. However, the Suite is about 1000sq. ft. We recommend only 2-4 people due to limited space, but we don't charge extra for extra guests. Read on for more amenities!

People amenities (some fees apply): flexible check-in and check-out times, room service, laundry service, and ride service. Amenities are subject to availability. We do our best to work with your schedule and needs. If you'd like to use any of these extra services, we will coordinate after you book!

Pet amenities (no fees): cat box with litter available in the living area. Dog door to large back yard available in the bedroom. Please take care with your pets around the pool!

Great little place not far from everywhere in Caldwell. Obviously, the pool was out of play for my January trip to Idaho but it is right out the bedroom door if the weather was nice. The space is small but clean and roomy. There is plenty of space to spread out. Nice and clean. When I return to Caldwell, I'll check to see if this unit is available.

Very nice! Our stay was comfortable. The unit was very clean and the neighborhood was very peaceful & quiet. The checkout instructions were minimal - just as you would expect when having to pay a cleaning fee, we really appreciated that!

The lighting in the bedroom was not good. Had to open a curtain to see into my site case. I never could find a heat control in the bedroom. Had to rely on heat from living room and bathroom to heat the bedroom. No toaster. TV accommodations were subpar since we are senior citizens and don't us our cell phones to control a tv!!

The property was perfect for our needs and easily accessed. It was super clean and the property owners were excellent communicators and attentive to our needs. We give it 5 stars and highly recommend it to fellow travelers.Only suggestion. Bathroom tub/shower needs a handicap bar to assist seniors like us getting in and out of the tub.

The bed was amazing.. so comfortable! Shower is a 10/10. Never noticed that the VRBO is attached to the main house. The Hosts were great and explained and communicated instructions well.

The set-up of the Vrbo/property is well done. The living space, bathroom and bedroom has plenty of room and is decorated very nicely. The pool was readily accessible (as well as the hot tub).

Overall, the place was very clean and a nice spot to stay. The listing says it accommodates 8, but in my experience, it comfortably fit 4. There’s only one bedroom and no pull-out couch, so we had to use 2 air mattresses for our additional two friends. It’s also important to note that this is a shared space—the homeowners live in the same building, set up as a duplex. This wasn’t an issue, but it wasn’t what we were expecting.The pool and hot tub were very clean and warm. Overall, a fun place to stay—I just wouldn’t bring more than 4 people, as it might feel cramped.

Quiet near town with easy access & departure

I had some trouble obtaining the address of the property a phone # to call if needed. My GPS was somewhat difficult to follow getting off the freeway and to the house. Once there, things went well & I had a good night's sleep. As an old timer, I could've used some grab bars to get in & out of the hot tub/shower. Overall, nice & quiet place to spend the night.

Overall it was a nice place

It was a nice stay. Only down sides are they do not have a oven or stove top and the fridge doesnt keep your food at a good cold temp. They do have a thing for an alternative for cooking but i just got a two burner thing from walmart. There are a few things i did not like. For one there is a vase thing outside that was broken into pieces and not cleaned up so i did not allow my kids in the back yard because i did not want them to get hurt. For two it smells like cat piss badly. And in the bedroom there is a smell i cant put my finger on but it wasnt a plesant. Yes i do take pictures of literally everything before i even let my family in so if something happens i know it was me or my family.

We absolutely love this place. Close to our daughter and the college. The place is very roomy and comfortable with a private bedroom and a fantastic bathroom. We love it so much we already booked it 3 more times in 2025!

The neighborhood is quiet (our neighbors are a retired woman and a family with a few kids) but close to downtown Caldwell and the Snake River Valley wine region.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The back yard is the best part of this property. The pool (heated to 85 degrees between the months of May-October) is so fun and relaxing, and the hot tub is fantastic during the winter. If you want privacy, we are happy to close all our blinds and pretend we aren't home! :)
