Great place, hard to back out of driveway on busy street but otherwise perfect for us. Walk to store, great bars and dinner and cool neighborhood.

Everything was as advertised. Location was good for us, the only drawback was on a busy street. Bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Heat and AC worked very well. It was nice to have a sweet cottage to ourselves.

Very quiet and nice.

We would stay again if we went through Boise. We stayed on the way from Colorado to Oregon, then again on the way home from Oregon!

Cozy and clean

The small house was clean, cozy and inviting. The beds were super comfy! The space around the bathroom toilet was very small so it is something to be aware of if you are a very tall person, etc. Property was next to a high traffic road and backing out of driveway could be a challenge during rush hour. The location was close to shopping which is nice when you want to grab something to eat. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay again.

Cozy Cottage

Cute house close to restaurants and grocery stores. The house is very cozy and met all our needs during our stay.

This was the perfect stay for our family! The host was so fast with communication and set up for everything we didn't even know we needed! We didn't have infants but I loved that there was a high chair and playpen available for those that do, as well as a small dog door to the back yard. We didn't think we'd even need to use the laundry machines but it was so nice to have them there. There were ice trays and a water pitcher that we were so thankful for. It felt safe and clean and being down the block from a gas station and grocery store was so convenient. One thing I will say, I got coffee grounds because I thought there was a basic coffee maker however it's a Keurig now. But no fear! Albertsons is just down the street! Would definitely stay again

Great Location

We loved Star, it was a super cute neighborhood with super cool stores to explore, it was like 30min from downtown Boise, but it didnt feel like a long drive at all! We were super happy with our stay.

Star Lodge

Had a great stay at the lodge. Cute little house. Very clean beds were comfortable. Great location. Instant hot water to shower. Enjoyed the area of Star. Grocery store and restaurants close by. Thank you Maria for your prompt replies.

Overall it was a good stay a few things needed taken care of the refrigerator needed better cleaning the fruit and veg drawers were very dirty i had to was them before i could put anything in the HVAC vent and filter in the living room was filthy. Had to contact the host soon after we arrived to let her know that was not going to be enough paper towels and hand soap to last for the 7 days we would be staying she did bring some over but I think in the future these things should be taken care of before anyone's arrival. Another thing should have been brought to our attention was the Landscapers would be there one of the days we were staying there as we were taking a nap after a long morning hike and all of a sudden someone was in the backyard directly under our bedroom window with a weed Wacker that was a rude awaking . Overall it is a cute place with some dining and convenience store in walking distance

Property not as pictured

We were shocked when we arrived, the pictures on the VRBO site must be from a long time ago, the place is very run down, paint chipped and peeling off the porch, on entering there was a smell of insecticide or grease or something acrid, the floors were dirty, theere were dead bugs all over the floor, refrigerator was filthy etc, overall condition very poor, the only good thing I can say is the bed was comfortable, that's it.I will let the pictures speak for themselves, we did not use the kitchen at all, it was very unpleasant.Owner said we should have called, she would fix it, it should have already been clean when we arrived. It is also on a very busy street.I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company.

Good Times in Star Idaho

This property is clean especially the floors and bedding. This is a must for me and I appreciate sleeping in a bed that does not feel like a hotel bed. I also appreciated that the house was located so close to the small downtown area. Initially I thought the house was in a neighborhood but it was actually part neighborhood and part main street. Though this may seem like a negative I appreciated that I could walk to a local food-n-stuff, gas station and bars and restaurants. My only request would be to have access to the back yard with a grill. With the front yard facing the main road it would be great to enjoy the calm backyard and grill out some dinner:)

The Smell Will Kill You

Upon arrival at the property we opened the refrigerator and the rotten smell would knock you over. The refrigerator was rusted. Contacted Maria and she came over and said she couldn't smell anything. The smell worsened and we could not even use the refrigerator. Called her back again and she came over. We were out and came home late. We walked in and she had left the windows open and the door. House was freezing and still stinks. Walked by the water heater and she had torn off a piece of cardboard and stuck it in the pilot light hole! Good thing we saw it or we could have been in extreme danger. Contacted Maria again and she was mad we called her late but she left our possessions unsecured and our life in danger. She refused to acknowledge the situation and kept telling us there was no smell. Our little granddaughters even commented on how its stinky it was in the house. Now the smell has penetrated the rest of the house. There was no where for us to go. Maria would not help us and would not give us a refund for the stay. We had some friends come over and say how bad it smelled. We had planned on cooking for our granddaughters during our stay and we could not even put a bottle of water in the fridge. I have stayed with VRBO homes for a long time but never have I had a stay that was this bad and a host that was so disrespectful. Renter beware.

Upon arrival, we were unable to access the property using the entry code provided. Despite multiple attempts to contact the host, we received no response until the following day. As a result, we were forced to secure last-minute accommodations at a local hotel around 10 p.m., which was both stressful and inconvenient.While VRBO has since issued a full refund for the original booking, I am now required to go through an additional process to recover the unexpected hotel expenses. This experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating, especially given the lack of communication and support during the incident.
