Charming Finger Lakes cottage with 3 levels of lakefront views for all seasons

Providing 3 levels of lake views from in and outside the house, Waneta Way Cottage provides you with an enjoyable vacation in every season. Located on a quiet street on Lake Waneta, this lakefront retreat in the heart of the Finger Lakes offers an ideal blend of tranquility, activity and accessibility being just 15 minutes from Hammondsport, 20 minutes from Watkins Glen and Penn Yan, and less than an hour from Ithaca and Geneva. Not to mention all the wineries, breweries and hiking minutes away!

Walking through the front door, you are immediately greeted by a stunning lake view through the windows straight ahead, a high vaulted ceiling with gorgeous wood beams, and a cozy living room with wood burning stove. To the left, you find the open dining room with large table that comfortably seats 6, and fully stocked kitchen complete with extensive coffee station, wine station for all your favorite bottles collected from the nearby wineries, and brand new appliances. Off the dining room, you can access the screened in porch with comfortable outdoor furniture for enjoying an outdoor, bug-free lake view.

On the main floor you will also find a queen bedroom with dedicated work space and dresser, as well as a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and double vanity, stocked with important extra items such as a make-up mirror, hair dryer, q-tips and more!

Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms, and a second bathroom with a bathtub, again stocked with important items. The master bedroom includes a king bed, desk, closet and private balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the gorgeous lake view. Should you be staying with us in the cooler seasons, take a seat on the comfortable pull out chair with twin bed to enjoy the view. The second upstairs bedroom provides a queen bed, closet, dresser and a seating area, also with comfortable pull out twin chair.

Each bedroom is thoughtfully equipped with ambient lighting from table lamps, an alarm clock with a sound machine, night lights, a Roku TV on a swivel mount, and ample storage space for your belongings. You will also find USB charging ports in either the bedside lamps or back of the alarm clocks for convenient overnight phone charging.

On the bottom floor, you will find the Entertainment Room complete with smart TV, large sectional with queen pull out bed, and plenty of board games for a fun night in. Continue on through the french doors off this room and onto the patio with comfortable outdoor seating surrounding the fire pit, a grill, and access directly down to the private dock and lake front.

The Entertainment Room and Living Room both have a wireless speaker system for our music loving guests to connect to for playing music directly from your phone or computer.

A washer and dryer are also available on the lower level for your convenience.

Being a smaller lake in the region, Lake Waneta provides a warm neighborhood feel on the quiet streets off the main road, with many year-round residents living on the lake. Waneta Way Cottage is ideal for those looking for a private, quiet vacation, and enjoy the homey aspect of friendly neighbors - including the curious cows across the way!
