Welcome to Butterfly Crossing, a newly built cabin set on 54 secluded acres. This charming retreat comfortably sleeps 2. Enjoy access to a 1-acre pond for fishing, swimming, and paddle boating. The cabin is equipped with modern amenities including a hot tub, grill, fire ring, 32" TV with DVD player, free WiFI, and a cozy gas fireplace. Pet-friendly and designed with nature in mind, you'll also find deer and bird feeder stations to attract local wildlife.


Nestled in the heart of Hocking Hills, Ohio, this charming 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin offers a serene escape on 54 acres of pristine nature. Enjoy the tranquility of your private lake and explore the expansive, wooded grounds right outside your door. Ideal for a peaceful retreat or cozy getaway. Must be 21 years or older to rent. It was absolutely wonderful!

We loved how private it was and the beautiful pond.and all the grounds. The inside was also so cozy and very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub as well as everything else. We actually ended up saying in the first night just because we wanted to enjoy the cabin. We definitely plan on coming back.

We had an amazing time. The cabin was so cozy and clean and the hot tub was wonderful that we ended up just staying in the first night to enjoy it !! The grounds were great and we walked around the pond everyday. Cant wait to go again.

Wonderfully peaceful and relaxing for both my boyfriend and I and the 2 pups.

The cabin is peaceful and tucked away from everything else. The lake view from the window and porch is beautiful. The dogs loved being able to run in the field behind the cabin. The hot tub was one of our favorite parts. The only thing I didn't like about this cabin was the bathroom. The toilet area is very narrow, but my man and I are both broad people. One thing I would recommend to the facility is to add more signs to this cabin from 50. The turn off is hard to see.

Very cute and quaint in a beautiful, easy to get to location. Great for a couples getaway. Local market store and a restaurant or two within a couple of miles. I would say bring extra blankets especially in the colder months if you like to curl up in the couch. They were also fighting a lady beetle invasion through no fault of the owners. My wife and I had a wonderful time and would definitely do it again!

I didn't want to share the area or have people walking by my cabin a few feet away as happened. The listing made it sound like I'd have the whole area to myself. The listing said "offers a serene escape on 54 acres of pristine nature. Enjoy the tranquility of your private lake and explore the expansive, wooded grounds right outside your door. Ideal for a peaceful retreat or cozy getaway." I suggest that the owner create fence or shrub barriers between Butterfly and Firefly cabins on both sides of the pond and driveway. Everything was clean and a lot of investment in providing modern amenities. Could have used a few more items, like a shelf or cabinet in the bathroom, coat hooks on doors and at entrances, end table with lamp (or small coffee table) in living room.

The cabin was wonderful. Perfect for our getaway. Having the pond right outside was great. We booked specifically for this. I had wonderful time fishing. The only negative is the listing map shows the Cabin in Logan rather than mcarther. Drive time to Hocking Hills sights is roughly the same, other than attractions in Logan. Will definitely stay again

The cabin is in a very peaceful location with beautiful grounds and a well maintained pond. The cabin itself was immaculate and had everything we could want, including a very nice hot tub. We will definitely be coming back.

Clean, Cozy, and Dog-Friendly Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Butterfly Crossing! The cabin was very clean and cute, and it fit us and our two dogs perfectly. The gardens and pond were well maintained and absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect spot for a quiet getaway, and I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in Hocking Hills.

Very peaceful

It was clean and welcoming once inside. The front and back porch needed to be swept off. It has not been done in awhile. I know the leaves are starting to fall but these leaves were really dried out. The leaves make it look sort neglected and it isn't at all. Would book again for a longer stay. Oven could be cleaned too.

It’s a nice, clean cottage. The bed is very comfortable. Hot tub was so relaxing.

Property and privacy was great with the dogs. Cabin can use some updating and septic/bathroom had a smell to it. Windows were very dirty. Flooring was old and very worn in areas. A bit disappointing for the overall price.

Everything was just as described with no surprises! Check in was a breeze and the property was quaint and quiet. Love the pond and definitely has some good fishing! It was a perfect getaway to unwind from city life for a few days. Hocking hills is no more than 30 minutes away, mostly due to the winding roads to get there. Town (McArthur) is 5 minutes away with some gas stations and a local market, in case you forgot to bring anything with you. Will certainly be back to this location!

The cabin and grounds are very peaceful. The cabin was very clean and had pretty much all we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking out at the pond and wildlife.

Completely relaxing!

We love the cabin being far from the road and just out in the woods. The pond has always been a great feature to enjoy. The location is quiet and relaxing and a great place to just sit and listen to nature.
