Hern Cottage - Description and Purpose

Hern Cottage, located in the western part of the Sosnowe Domki complex, is surrounded by a beautiful, picturesque garden filled with hydrangeas and other flowers, giving it a uniquely peaceful and secluded atmosphere. Due to its location, this cottage is ideal for couples seeking a romantic getaway, seniors looking for tranquility, as well as families with teenage children or very young children, such as infants. Its position away from the playground makes it a perfect spot for a quiet retreat, free from noise and disturbance.

Hern Cottage offers picturesque sunsets, which can be enjoyed from the terrace or through the windows as the sun sets over the horizon. With its western orientation, the mornings are cooler, making it perfect for a longer rest, while the afternoons and evenings become warm and cozy. The view of the setting sun stretching across the horizon adds a special charm to the place.

The cottage also has access to a gazebo, located in a shaded part of the garden, making it an ideal spot to relax during the day. Surrounded by lush greenery, the gazebo provides a pleasant space for relaxation while offering protection from the sun.

Interior of Hern Cottage

Hern Cottage is a spacious, two-story cabin with an area of 54 m², similar to the Gandalf and Merlin cottages. It offers guests comfortable conditions for relaxation, with plenty of space and beautiful views. The entrance to the cottage leads through the living room, which faces the garden on the western side. The living room has two windows—one facing west, offering a view of the garden, and another facing south, with a view of the gazebo. This makes the living room bright and cozy, providing views of both the garden and the surrounding nature. The living room is also equipped with a TV with satellite access, ensuring entertainment during your stay.

The living room is connected to a fully equipped kitchenette, which has everything needed for meal preparation. It includes an induction stove, a coffee maker, a set of pots, cutlery, plates, and glasses. There is also a fold-out sofa in the living room, which can serve as an additional sleeping area, and a table with chairs, making it a perfect spot for shared meals and relaxation.

The bathroom in Hern Cottage is similarly equipped to the other cottages, featuring a toilet, sink, and shower with a tray, ensuring convenience and comfort during your stay.

Wooden stairs lead to the upper floor, where two private bedrooms are located. The large bedroom has a big window that offers a view of the garden and picturesque sunsets. Although the full sunset isn’t visible, the sky turns beautiful shades of red, pink, and orange, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The small bedroom, like in the other cottages, has a skylight window that provides natural light and fresh air.

Hern Cottage, like the Merlin and Gandalf cottages, can accommodate up to 8 people, with the option to add an extra bed in the large bedroom, providing additional sleeping space for one or two more guests. A further advantage of Hern Cottage is the spacious alcove opposite the stairs, offering convenient storage for suitcases and luggage, keeping the bedrooms neat and organized.

Surroundings of Hern Cottage

Hern Cottage features a terrace measuring 4.5 meters in length and 2 meters in width, equipped with a large red umbrella that provides shade during sunny afternoons and evenings. This is an ideal spot for relaxation, especially as the sun sets in the west, creating a beautiful, colorful sky. The view from the terrace of the setting sun and the well-maintained garden, filled with white and pink hydrangeas, is truly spectacular. The garden surrounding the cottage is carefully tended, with short, manicured grass, adding charm and making every moment spent on the terrace special. Additionally, a grill is available on the terrace, allowing guests to enjoy barbecuing during their stay.

Right next to the cottage is a spacious, covered gazebo, measuring three meters in width and extending the entire length of the cottage. The gazebo is surrounded by beautiful flowers, including hydrangeas, which enhance its charm and create a cozy, shaded space for relaxation. Hanging swing chairs for adults are available under the gazebo, offering a comfortable place to unwind. Additionally, there is a wooden table with benches, making it the perfect spot for shared meals, barbecuing, and relaxing in the pleasant shade.
