Villa Balos (amfimala) est une magnifique villa privée. Notre villa nouvellement construite offre 4 chambres spacieuses. Notre villa a une vue panoramique sur la mer Méditerranée. Nos invités peuvent s'asseoir et profiter du coucher du soleil et du lever du soleil tous les matins et soirs. Vous serez en train de louer notre villa privée de 200m2 sur un terrain privé de 1. 500 m2 entouré d'un jardin avec des arbres exotiques, des fleurs, de la pelouse et des environs naturels. Villa Balos offre une grande piscine privée qui est idéale pour les familles et les amis. Notre villa est située à Georgiopoulis. L'emplacement de la Villa est idéal pour les familles qui recherchent des vacances reposantes près de la mer et de nombreuses attractions. Une locaction parfaite. La solution idéale pour les groupes d'amis, les familles avec enfants, les mariages ou toute personne recherchant une évasion privée! Notre cuisine entièrement équipée mène à une terrasse parfaitement adaptée aux moments de coucher de soleil. Villa Balos propose également une télévision à écran plasma LCD avec un système satellite continental et une connexion Internet sans fil WIFI. Vous pouvez profiter du luxe, du silence, de la beauté naturelle et de la combinaison des éléments traditionnels et modernes, pour votre détente absolue. Notre Villa se compose de 4 chambres avec balcon privé donnant sur la mer qui peut accueillir 8-10 personnes, salle à manger, salon, cuisine entièrement équipée, 3 salles de bains avec hydromassage et toutes les commodités, aire de jeux pour enfants, barbecue où vous et vos invités peuvent profiter et préparer vos repas, un parking gratuit pour vous et vos invités, et une grande piscine privée. Sur demande, le personnel peut être composée d'un cuisinier. Un panier de bienvenue vous attendra à votre arrivée avec des boissons locales, les fruits et les saveurs traditionnelles. Ne hésitez pas à demander aux propriétaires tout ce dont vous avez besoin (location de voiture, des conseils utiles sur les excursions et visites). A propos de 600m de la villa est le centre de Georgioupolis où vous trouverez de nombreux magasins, supermarchés, marchés traditionnels, cafés et bars. Il a une grande aire de jeux pour nos petits amis avec skate park, piste cyclable et une salle de sport en plein air. La plage organisée de Georgioupolis avec le sable d'or est situé à 500m de la villa.
Outre les bains de soleil est adapté pour la pêche et les sports nautiques "Kournas lac", qui est à environ 3 km de la villa. Il est le plus grand lac naturel de la Crète. Vous pouvez profiter de baignade dans le lac, un tour de pédalo ou une promenade autour du beau paysage. Il est entouré de tavernes et cafétérias traditionnels grecs et vous pourrez profiter des saveurs locales ou votre café avec la belle vue. La «ville de Rethymno" traditionnelle est environ 18km, tandis que la ville pittoresque de La Canée est à environ 30km. port de Souda est accessible à 28 km, "aéroport de Chania" est 42 km et "l'aéroport d'Héraklion" est à 100 kilomètres.

A little piece of heaven

Four of us, all senior citizens, stayed for a week at Villa Balos. It was absolutely fabulous. The amenities, with space to enjoy being together and also plenty of places to be comfortably alone to rest, were top notch; Mihalis and his wife were superb hosts; and the view of the sea was spectacular. We were tempted to move in permanently. We can't imagine a more perfect place.

Beautiful Sea Views and a host that excels.

Michael can only be described as the perfect host. He provided a meal when we arrived and was attentive and helpful at all times. Michael and his family really excelled when we needed a few days extra accommodation at the end of our booked stay, due to a crisis in our family. The villa is further from the town centre than we anticipated, involving walking along a fairly busy road with no footpath. In all other aspects it was a lovely location

Excellent villa, well situated, with a lovely villa owner

This villa ticks all the boxes, well situated overlooking the local town is clean, well maitained and the best equipped we have been to. For example, dishwasher tablets, washing up powder etc...even a tap producing filtered water meaning we dont have to buy and carry litres of water. The pool was always clean, the air con works and the tv has loads of options. The villa owner Michael could not have been more helpful, we arrived with a hot meal left for us, and a fridge with all sorts such as salad and beer. It really is a 10min walk to the town maybe 12-15mins to the beach, the sea is warm, restaurants were good and people were nice. You can easily get by without a car although we rented locally from Mikes who where well priced and drove the car to and from our villa. If we visit Crete again we would defintely want to come back to this villa.

Perfect Holiday

This was our first time in Crete and first time staying at a villa. We had the best time ever!! The villa is so beautiful and had everything you needed. Even a full size hairdryer in the master bedroom. There was a washing machine in one of the bathrooms and a clothes line to hang. When we arrived there was a hot meal and greek salad. Fridge had juic, beer, jam, lunch meat and cheese and was fresh fruit. Just what we needed after a very long trip from Canada to get there. Michael the host was just the nicest person. He went out of his way to always make us feel welcome and we consider him our good friend now. The village of Georgioupoli is a very lovely place and the walk down is about 15 minutes. A cab home was only 5 euros. Lots of shops and restaurants and the people are the friendliest we have ever met. This place is a true gem. Thank you for everyrhing Michael and especially your friendship. We will cherish it always

The villa is wonderful, exactly as listed and the host Michael is a pleasure to deal with. The whole communication process from start to finish with him was so straightforward and he will go out of his way to help you in any way he can. Arriving to a traditional home cooked dish that was actually still warm was a lovely touch and was appreciated by us all. The views from the villa are great, mountains one side and the sea the other. The garden and pool area are lovely to spend lazy days relaxing and we made use of the bbq facilities twice too. It’s a 5-10 min walk into town but I actually enjoyed this, some of our party would get taxis back at night, these were always available and cost only 5. Spoilt for choice with restaurants in the town and I don’t think we had a bad meal once across the whole 2 weeks! Beaches are great, always a bar nearby and there is a little tourist train which runs hourly to get you to other local attractions in the area such as Lake Kournas, where we swam with turtles. If you are thinking of going to Georgioupolis and you haven’t been before l would definitely recommend it and I would also definitely recommend Michael and his villa, together they enabled us to have a brilliant family holiday. Fabulous villa in great location

We had a wonderful time at Michael's villa Balos/Amfimala. The house is excellently located just outside Georgioupolis, where there is a beautiful sandy and safe beach, small harbour, village square and numerous shops, tavernas and bars. If you travel a little further afield you can visit the Venetian cities of Chania and Rethymnon easily by car or by the reliable and cheap bus service, as well as some lovely small traditional villages in the mountains. Michael is a great and attentive host. We were welcomed to the villa and he kindly provided a hot meal with Greek salad, a thoughtful touch for our first meal. He visited daily to empty bins and service the pool so we were able to ask him for his advice on the best places to eat. When we had a small issue, he was there immediately on phoning and it was swiftly sorted out. The villa has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The pool was excellent and spotlessly clean. The views are lovely and the walk to the town is easy for adults and older children; we hired a car which was useful for younger ones. Highly recommended 😊

Superschöne Villa

Ich war mit meinen Freundinnen auf Kreta und wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit! Der Ausblick von der Unterkunft war einfach atemberaubend – jeden Tag ein neues Highlight. Wunderbar

Das Haus ist sehr schön, sauber und hat alles nötige vor Ort für einen unbeschwerten Urlaub. Wir haben unsere Woche sehr genossen. Der Empfang mit verschiedenen Getränken im Kühlschrank und einer hausgemachten Patizio könnte nicht besser sein. Das Haus ist sehr zu empfehlen.

May 2022 Trip to Crete

My family and I have been renting VRBOs for many years. This house is at the absolute top of our list. The house was spacious and immaculate. The panoramic views from the roof are amazing. The town (Georgioupoli) has a great beach, and great shops and restaurants. The pool was awesome, even at the end of May. Swimming in the morning was my granddaughters favorite part of our entire trip to Greece. Finally, Mihalis and his wife were one of the most thoughtful, and friendliest hosts we have ever rented from. They even prepared a fresh Greek salad and a warm casserole for our arrival. When we come back to Crete, we will definitely stay here again if available. Thank you Mihalis for making our stay in Crete so memorable.

Superb villa, outstanding host!

We had an amazing last minute break at this villa. I cannot express how great Michael was throughout, nothing was too much trouble. We had a late flight and he had a hot meal and drinks waiting for us, with some breakfast in the fridge too! Communication was no problem, he is very responsive. The villa is amazing, views were for. It's spacious, spotless and relaxing. The villa is a 10 min walk to plenty of bars and restaurants, shops and supermarkets. It is up a slight hill, but you do not need to be super fit! Would totally recommend the villa and Michael as a host!

Beautiful villa

We have just returned from a holiday at the beautiful villa Balos ! We were a party ranging from 15 - 70 and the Villa suited everyone. It has everything you need , private and the views over the village are amazing. The village is a 10 minute walk with plenty of Tavernas and if you want to get a taxi back there are plenty and the cost 5 euro. We hired bikes from the village which were great for cycling to get fresh bread on a morning. Michalis was the perfect host and answered any questions we had. The meal on arrival was delicious and much appreciated !! He helped with transfers and organise a boat trip which was great. Would fully recommend the Villa !!! Great holiday .

Perfect location

We stopped here the last week in August and found it to be the perfect home from home. We found the villa spacious and very well equipped. It was a ten minute walk to the centre of Town where there is plenty of places to eat. Michalis, the villa owner was the perfect host and made us feel very welcome and popped up daily to sort the rubbish out and check the pool. Nothing was too much trouble, he even helped us by organising our transfers to and from the villa. We will be returning at the earliest opportunity. Thank you to Michalis and his family. We shall definitely see you again!!!

Wonderful Villa and People

We have just returned from 10 days wonderful holiday at Villa Balos. On arrival we were met by Mihalis, his wife Irene and his son - a nice touch to meet the family. We were made most welcome then and throughout our stay. One of the family would visit every couple of days to make sure everything was OK, and also responded quickly to email to answer any questions we had. We were pleasantly surprised to find a meal had been prepared and left for us - Greek salad, bread, bottle of wine and a huge dish of pastitsio cooked by Irene. The pastitsio was so good we said we would be happy to pay for another, which duly appeared together with a lemon sweet, but they would not accept any payment. If you are lucky to treated like this you will find Irene is a great cook. Having visited Crete several times and toured most of the island, we did not have a hire car trip. When Mihalis realised this, he offered several times to drive us to get shopping. They really could not have done more to make our stay a pleasant one. The villa itself was spacious, well furnished and well appointed - definitely a lovely home not just a holiday let. From it's elevated position it had fabulous, panaromic views across Georgiopoli to the bay, and to side and rear across open countryside to hills and mountains. It was a 15-20 minute walk to the central square in the village or the beach, with some short uphill sections as you near the villa, more than made up for by the resultant views. You only need to be reasonably fit to cope with these - as a reference our group ages ranged from 16 to 68 and no-one had any problems. Many thanks to Mihalis and his family, if we visit Georgiopoli again, and we may do given the beach, village and tavernas on offer, we would not hesitate to stay again at Villa Balos.
