Accommodations were excellent. Spacious, clean, lots of natural light. Beautiful location. Very peaceful. Highly recommend staying here. Easy access to Acadia National Park. Short drive to Bar Harbor.

The extremely clean and well maintained cottage was conveniently located in a quiet area. We had easy access to the surrounding area including the park. We highly recommend anyone to stay here. Communication was smooth, kitchen is well stocked, bedding and seating was comfortable. Outdoor space was nice, there is outdoor seating which allowed for views from both back and front of home. Loved the front porch and fire pit area.

Excellent launching point for the National Park, really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Utilized the fire pit and grill. A lot of time and detail has gone into renovating this cottage and it shows. Did not want to leave!

This cozy cabin was the perfect spot for exploring all over MDI. Within 15 to 20 minutes of anywhere you want to be on Mount Desert Island. It’s quiet, secluded, and clean and has all the amenities and comforts that you need for an amazing stay. The solo stove firepit area was perfect as well as the front patio overlooking pretty pond. 10/10 and you won’t want to leave!

This was a nice clean property in a quiet beautiful setting. We felt very comfortable and at home during our stay. 10 minutes to a grocery store and Southwest Harbor, and 15 minutes from Bar Harbor. All communication with the host was friendly and responsive. This was our first trip to Mt. Desert Island/Acadia, and we are very happy that we chose this place.

Cottage was delightful. Location was awesome for all our planned sightseeing adventures in Acadia. Cooked dinner at the cottage a couple nights, then sat by the fire. Cottage was well equipped with every thing we needed. Great place to stay when visiting Acadia!

The location was perfect and the cottage was spotless! All the essentials were provided and Greg is an excellent host. My kids loved the upstairs loft and I loved having the grill and fire pit for spending time together as a family. Highly recommend!!

I’ve rented more than 20 different properties all around the island over the past 35 years. This little cottage in Pretty Marsh/Somesville is one of my favorites. Great location, new construction, perfect layout for me, my wife, and our two young kids (9 and 11), and everything we need. We are already planning a return trip to this house for next summer. Can’t wait.

Lovely cottage close to Acadia National Park and a short drive to Bar Harbor. The house was clean and perfectly sized for our family of four. It was especially nice having 1.5 bathrooms with two teenagers in the family! We also loved sitting out on the porch as well as having a grill to cook dinner. Would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to family and friends traveling to the area. And we look forward to visiting again ourselves one day!

Cozy, clean, and centrally located

The house was great and was as expected from the description and photos. Newly renovated, the owner made all the right upgrades needed to make you feel at home. The sofa and TV area suited our family of four perfectly as we relaxed after a long day of hiking and exploring. The beds are comfortable and I appreciated how the space was so well lit. The owner is very friendly and was very responsive when we had questions. The house is on a quiet road off of a fairly quiet road. The Adirondack chairs on the porch facing the pond became our place to drink our morning coffee and read. Our 12 and 14 year old loved how spacious the loft area was and were happy to have their own space up there. Having 1-1/2 baths was perfect for us. The kitchen is well equipped.The house is centrally located on MDI making it easy to travel to Acadia, Bar Harbor, South West Harbor, and North East Harbor.

Beautiful Pretty Pond Cottage

Loved the charming and very clean cottage. Enjoyed every morning on the front porch with a cup of coffee overlooking the beautiful nature and pond. Wish we could have spent more time there!

Perfect cabin on a small lake

Perfect location to see everything on the island. Short driving distance to the lakes, Acadia, hikes, restaurants and towns. Nestled in the woods and on a small lake, the cabin was peaceful and quiet to sit outside. Perfect size for our family. Check in was a breeze and the cabin had the amenities we needed. Would highly recommend!

Perfect autumn escape, off the beaten path!

This spot was perfect for my wife and two kids while we visited Bar Harbor. Except for some very minor road noise, the spot was very quiet. Lots of deer graze in this area, which testifies to the serene atmosphere. Greg stopped by when we were outside to make sure things were going well. He was very kind and receptive to our little bit of feedback. We took advantage of the nice fire pit and roasted marshmallows around the fire. Overall the property is well equipped for a small family getaway and convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park (less than 20 minutes to either). We would definitely stay here again!

Clean, Quiet Centrally Located Property

The place was exceptionally clean and new. The kitchen was great, and the beds were very comfortable. It's very simple and nice. I also liked the location as Mt. Desert is a big island, so being centrally located meant we could go any direction and be where we wanted to be within 15 minutes.
