Located on a working grain farm, enoy this house featuring 1 King bed, 4 full beds, 3 full bathrooms 2 den areas and multiple eating areas. Some of the amenities included: pool table, outside grill, corn hole boards, coffee and tea pots, hair dryer, showers, and bathtubs. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings and modern comforts. Located 20 minutes from Mammoth Cave, 35 minutes from the Corvette museum in Bowling Green or stay local 5 minutes from pickleball courts, bourbon tasting and many other Cave City and Horse Cave attractions. Sheila was a great host and communicator. We really enjoyed our 3 day stay. We particularly enjoyed the space of the home and the privacy and peacefulness of the surrounds. The formal dining room and stocked kitchen came in super handy for Thanksgiving dinner, and the pool table was so much fun. Conveniently located close to Mammoth Caves National Park. We definitely recommend this property if you are planning on being in the area.

The house was beautiful and so clean and cozy. Amazing smell throughout the house, beds comfortable. Would recommend over and over! The host responds quickly and very friendly.

The house and the property were fantastic. We really enjoyed each person having their own bed and we played pool each night. We visited Mammoth Cave and the Lost River Cave. We loved the added security of Tom Tom the guard cat. The homeowners were responsive to the couple of questions that we had and the information at the house about where to eat and the checking out instructions were very clear. Thanks for a great time.

Great house and great amenities. Back porch was amazing for morning coffee. Had a blast using the pool table and the tvs were really nice for watching football. Really cool location with so many things a short drive away. We had a group of golf dads and would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed in many air b&bs, but this is probably the best I have stayed in. The bedrooms were spacious and well decorated, my wife loved the kitchen. The ambiance of the place was “we are at home”. If we have the opportunity to return we will definitely check here first.

Our family loved our stay at this spacious home. We enjoyed the beautiful farm views and watching the sunset from the back patio. We had a blast playing pool in the downstairs rec room. Communication was great and the house was super clean and stocked with all the amenities. This was the perfect property for our family as we explored the Mammoth Cave area.

We had the most wonderful stay at the homestead! The proximity to national parks and great food was a welcome surprise. In addition, we loved the quietness of the homestead, such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. If we ever visit Kentucky again, we will definitely be staying here.

Perfect 'home base' for our Horse Cave, Kentucky visit! This was a lovely home in a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful setting. All our needs were meet, with some fun extras like the pool table. The beds and sectional were super comfy. The two teenage girls even raved on and on about how comfortable their beds were. Sheila was very responsive and provided great recommendations on dining in the area. Hope to go back again in the future and highly recommend!

This property was so awesome!

The property was so big we weren’t on top of each other!very clean and so quaint.my 90 year old aunt lives in a farm house so she felt right at home. We had a family reunion to attend so didn’t spend a lot of days but wish we could have . Thanks so much to host for easy check in!

Wow—where do I even begin? This home was absolutely amazing and located in the best possible spot for exploring Mammoth Cave National Park and all the surrounding attractions. The convenience of the location made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable.We had the pleasure of meeting our host, and they were truly lovely, kind people. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into making sure guests feel at home—the house is stocked with every amenity you could need, and everything was immaculately clean with a fresh, welcoming vibe.One major highlight of our trip was discovering Cave City Pizza—hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life (and I don’t say that lightly)!I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone visiting the area. If I ever find myself back in Cave City, Kentucky, I will absolutely be staying at this same home again.

Lovely property

This house was perfect for our stay in Kentucky. It is spacious, clean, and a fun property for our group. We all especially enjoyed the pool table and the front porch. The location was great for our time exploring the area of Mammoth Cave National Park. Cave City has some delicious restaurants. Shelia was a wonderful host and thought of everything we may need, from popcorn to laundry pods and even restaurant recommendations.

Comfortable and peaceful

We had a wonderful stay at the Homestead in the Barrens! The house is a very comfortable, and well-furnished. There is a ton of space to spread out. The setting is very quiet and peaceful. The two cautions I would give are 1. we found the property a bit difficult to locate in the dark -- recommend arriving during daylight the first time and 2. cell signal was spotty for us and the house's internet connection did act up on us partway through our stay.
