The Mountain View Chalet on beautiful Walnut Mountain sleeps six, and features mountain views, gorgeous sunsets and modern living!

The Chalet is close to downtown Ellijay and 5 minutes from Cartecay River where tubing and kayaking are a must. Apple-picking, vineyards, wineries, breweries and downtown Blue Ridge are within 20 minutes. Bring the whole family to this unique place with lots of room for fun and relaxation!

This cozy and tastefully decorated Chalet has long-range, year-round mountain views. It sleeps six guests comfortably, including an upstairs private master bedroom with king bed and en-suite bathroom, a separate master bedroom with two full beds and en-suite bathroom, a 1/2 bathroom and bonus room, including game room and office space.

It’s fully equipped with all kitchen essentials, including an InstaPot and air fryer, while you enjoy high speed internet, Smart TVs in all rooms, fireplaces throughout, foosball and air hockey tables, vintagevideo games, a small library, board games, washer and dryer.

Walnut Mountain is a private, gated community.

Guests will have access to all community amenities when visiting including pool (seasonal), RV parking, hiking trails, lakes for fishing, waterfalls, and campgrounds.

RV parking require reservations and pool access require passes. Please let us know in advance so that we can coordinate this on your behalf.

Interaction with guests - We’re available to meet all your needs before and during your stay.

Our place is perfect for a remote worker complete with a desk, two monitors with accessories, and a printer.

THE OUTDOORS!
The property is also set for outdoor enjoyment with a hot tub, propane gas grill and dining table, plus a chimenea and outdoor fire pit (subject to local fire restrictions) to watch the gorgeous sun set over the mountain.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
We ask guests to remember that despite the luxuries, we are still in the woods. We love our property and will do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, but cannot control the weather or the wild outdoor nature of this area. Gilmer County Short-Term Rental Host License #001618

Chris the host was very prompt with any questions I had. The rooms were very clean and spacious. If you have bad knees or hips I would say the steps would be rough on them but still doable. The hot tub was hot and relaxing. Very quiet neighborhood. Strongly recommend.

Clean, cute and convenient

Hosts were very nice and responded immediately to questions. The unit was very clean and decorated cute. They had considered what guests need and had items available at the house such as snacks in case you check in late, games, books etc. the home was located close to restaurants, shopping and entertainment, The hot tub was very clean and the property was quiet but safe!

A Peaceful Getaway

We had an amazing stay at the Mountain Chalet! The property was exceptionally clean and well-stocked with all the essentials and plenty of thoughtful amenities. The host was incredibly communicative, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The location couldn’t have been more ideal—close to downtown Ellijay and nearby towns, with beautiful creeks and stunning views in the community that became some of our trip highlights.A couple of suggestions for improvement: adding window coverings on the main floor for privacy due to nearby homes and large windows, and considering softer mattress options, as the firm beds made it a bit challenging to sleep. That said, there was no shortage of blankets, pillows, and other comforts. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!.

Roads entering and exiting the community are paved, and it includes a seasonal pool, hiking trails, waterfall, parks and lakes.

The Chalet is conveniently close to downtown Ellijay, downtown Blue Ridge, trails and attractions.

The kitchen is fully-stocked with all essentials and more. A full washer and dryer set are on the premises and indoors.
