The house is perfect! The large deck is great, add the hot tub and it’s even better!! Mild drawback is all the lights on the deck and not great if you’re trying to take in the amazing stars. Maybe there is a way to shut them off and we just didn’t look hard enough. We didn’t use the pool and other amenities but they looked very cute. There are some great trails around the area within 20ish minutes drive. Zion is soooooo beautiful.

We really enjoyed the location which was in close proximity to fun things we did. The house is large, clean, well cared for, and beautiful. When we had a couple of needs, the owner was quick to get back to us. Thank you, Alice, for your good service.

Beautiful "Base Camp"

This house was amazing for our trip to see Zion and Bryce. It was a quiet and secluded location to rest and reset each night. The hosts were wonderful to problem solve minor issues and gave us fantastic recommendations for hikes/experiences while we were in the area.

Beautiful home and location

We certainly enjoyed staying in this beautiful home. It is very spacious and tastefully decorated. It is a wonderful home for families with the wonderful playground, hot tub, game room and lots of space in the outdoor deck areas. We loved the smart house and all of the Alexas in every room. We enjoyed our one year old grandson's birthday here and it is a great home for celebrations!

Perfect Zion/Bryce Canyon property

Amazing home! We loved spending the weekend at this incredible property. Easy drive (10-15 minutes at most) into Zion National Park. The location on the east side of Zion National Park was optimal for us to enjoy a day trip (1 1/2 hour drive) to Bryce Canyon as well. Great communication from the hosts. The area got several inches of snow the night before our arrival and the hosts had the driveway plowed before our arrival. The hot tub on the snow covered deck was awesome after a day of hiking. The house is beautiful and well equipped and could easily accomodate large families or groups. We really hated to leave

Our family truly enjoyed our stay here! Very clean, spacious and quiet. I would definitely come back and stay again! Also Alice was very responsive if i sent a messag and promptly responded. She had told us there were limited grocery options to shop and that they were not close--she was completely acurate. I would like to add that this home is extremely close to the east entrance of Zion and that it takes you all the way thru the park to get to some of the shopping. The closest big store that doesn't price gouge is 1 1/2 hours away and is Walmart. But that would not deter me from coming back, just good to know in advance.Again i would highly recommend staying here and if we return to Zion, it will be my go to choice.

À propos de l’hôte

Hôte : Alice Meredith

For 30 years, Dale and I have traveled extensively across the U.S., driven by our demanding careers. Often, people ask us, "Why Utah?" we repeatedly share the same response: the sheer, awe-inspiring beauty of southern Utah’s majestic national parks and vibrant desert landscapes, complemented by the stunning mountain ranges and ski slopes of northern Utah.

Now, as we embrace semi-retirement, we’ve created our own havens in these beloved regions—Basecamp Oasis-Zion National Park in the south and Basecamp Oasis-Bear River in the north, which is positioned beautifully at the foothills of the Uinta National Forest and across the street from the infamous and popular Bear River. These retreats are more than just properties; they are our personal invitations to friends, new and old, to join us and experience firsthand the unique charm of Utah, and see for themselves what we’ve cherished all these years.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

What makes our home stand out? Well, we've gone all out to create a modern, smart cabin vibe. Fully remodeled during the summer of 2024, our cabin features smart TVs and devices in every room, allowing your stay to be as connected (or disconnected!) as you wish. Our 1600 sq ft of outdoor living space is perfect for soaking up nature, and the private jacuzzi is just the cherry on top for those chill evenings under the stars. We can't wait for you to experience the majestic starry nights, beautiful sunrises, and the abundant wildlife found on the property while relaxing and enjoying your getaway.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

We chose this incredible spot for our vacation home because it's just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the breathtaking Zion National Park—only 7 miles! Our cabin is nestled in a cozy, private setting surrounded by woods, and it's right next door to a resort (Zion Ponderosa Resort) packed with fantastic amenities. It's an hour's drive to Bryce Canyon National Park, a day trip you do not want to miss!

We also enjoy spending time at 'Best Friends' in Kanab, UT. Best Friends is the largest animal sanctuary in the U.S.

Adventure is literally at your doorstep with hiking and off-road trails right out the front door. Whether your interest is to tackle the great outdoors or simply unwind in a beautiful setting, our cabin is the ultimate retreat. We can't wait for you to experience it!
