Incredible Stay on the Big Island

This property was the highlight of our stay on the Big Island. From the accommodations to the location, everything was perfect. I will not go into specifics since I will only be repeating what others have said but will simply say that this property lacks nothing and that it would be a great selection for any traveler to this area.

Magic in Puako!

We returned to this wonderful home in Puako and came away every bit as thrilled as we were the first time. The home is perfect-built for its location, spacious bedrooms and common areas, all directed towards the ocean, complete amenities in all areas, wonderful access to the ocean, and the calming effect of its location in this one-of-a-kind neighborhood. We enjoyed everything about our week and look forward to returning. The sooner the better!

felt like a private waterfront oasis. We watched the sun set every evening and enjoying the stars from pool, hit tub at night. So relaxing with the continuous surf, ocean sounds. Spacious, luxurious home with abundant room for everyone to spread out. Our extended family thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Great for families

This house is in a great location with easy access to many amenities. Ocean front with great snorkelling right out the back door. All of the 4 bedrooms have a private bath which makes it nice for everyone to have their own space. Debbie the host was always available for whatever was required and very enjoyable to deal with. A beautiful place to stay.

What a wonderful paradise- a gem. My husband & I & our son stayed here for five glorious days. Great location, beautiful luxury home with every possible amenity available. Family Vacation

Family vacation with 9 adults and a teenager. The house is beautiful with plenty of room to spread out. Very nice indoor/outdoor areas for gathering. Gorgeous views, beautiful sunsets, and great whale watching during our stay. The house is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood and is close to the beach and other activities. The house is very well equipped and the host, Debbie was very responsive and attentive.

Perfect Location

This was a beautiful house in a perfect location. Perfect fit for our group of 10. We loved the location and that we were so close to the water. The spa was great as were the outdoor lanai areas. Perfect for relaxing outside. Inside was spacious and spotlessly clean. Great interaction with the property manager. She was quick to answer any questions. We would definitely come again!

Amazing house and location

Just as amazing as the photos suggest! Entrance to water is rocky but easy enough with water shoes and SO worth doing since right in front of the house is one of the most popular snorkeling places! You can swim out before the snorkel tours get there and see beautiful coral and tons of fish. I also watched pods of dolphins swim across the bay in the morning while drinking my coffee. House manager is super accommodating and helpful. Very close to some wonderful beaches as well.

Absolutely Awesome!

The house is simply fantastic. Too beautiful for words. Lovely bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, lounging areas and all the amenities. The living room, kitchen, entertainment room and upstairs lounge area are huge. You will never feel crowded. Snorkeling right off the back, a lovely dipping pool and hot tub. Great location and the house was super clean when we arrived. Lovely basket of treats from the property manager was a very nice touch. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home and location. Fully stocked with any and all possible needs and wants all the way around but most importantly the manager Nikki is amazing she has been the best we have ever had. This is the home you have to choose air conditioned bedrooms and trust me the trade winds have a mind of their own it's hot this home has a great air conditioned media room and all bedrooms so you sleep well. Great pool and spa, awesome game room area upstairs huge amount of space to have some alone time!! I have rented in the area before this is the best by far!!!!!

Love, love this home!

My family and friends had the privilege of renting this gorgeous property for the month of January 2017. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The home has fresh, flowering orchids in most rooms, along with every amenity: comfortable beds, quality linens, beach chairs and equipment. We lacked for nothing. Nikki, our local host, was extremely responsive and helpful with recommendations for local outings. The bedrooms all open to the water so we could hear the ocean every night as we fell asleep. We all enjoyed the pool table and entertainment area upstairs. We hope to return very soon!

Puako Bay Paradise

Our family just can't say enough good things about this property to do it justice! The house was gorgeous, spacious, and fully equipped with all the bells and whistles and with lovely interior design. The location was stunning with amazing ocean views and access to the water directly from the house where we enjoyed snorkeling and visiting with the sea turtles, crabs, and other little ocean creatures! There's absolutely no need to go anywhere if you are in HI to rest, relax and enjoy a slice of paradise! Debbie was so responsive to our questions. We also enjoyed the close proximity to resorts to eat out and shop as well as to buy local fresh fish to bring home to grill.

The Ultimate Destination

Pili Pono is truly a private and extremely beautiful respite when visiting the Big Isle. Its panoramic views and upscale appointments make this location one of my favorite places on earth. I’ve never seen ocean sunsets every day as gorgeous as the one’s viewed from Pili Pono. All the amenities and more! Whales can be seen breaching just off shore, the weather is always perfect and you can swim with the turtles while enjoying the fantastic snorkeling right out in front of this gorgeous retreat. A straight and easy 25 minute drive from Kona Airport puts you in Puako at the Pacific’s doorstep. And there’s a market right up the street to keep you well supplied during your stay. Can’t wait to get back there again!

Fun for the whole family

We always spend our family vacations on Kauai. This year we decided try the Big Island instead and we were glad we did. The Pili Pono home was comfortable for the 8 of us, more high end than we expected and the views can't be beat. While the town of Puako is quiet and peaceful, there is still plenty to do within a short drive. I think we went to Beach 69 every day either to snorkel, looks for shells, watch sunset, or boogie board. Nikki was a helpful and knowledgeable host with lots of recommendations on tours, activities, and restaurants. Must try the Clambake at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel! Thank you Hawaii Life for another amazing trip. We will definitely be back!

in the study of fish. I attended the University of Washington, College of Fisheries and got Bachelor of Science Degree in Fishery Biology.

Thereafter I attended the University of Hawaii, Department of Zoology Graduate school and became an osteo-ichthyologist becoming an expert in fish skeletons.

With over 300 species of Hawaiian Reef Fishes available for study, The diversity of bony structure amongst the Hawaiian Reef Fishes
amazing bone structures will never cease to amaze me.

I enjoy being a host simply to share the incredible reef filled with beautiful fish, invertebrates, coral, and turtles. this is an experience not to be missed.
