Relaxing

Are Car was in the shop and lucky we were able to find a room here. It was a perfect end to our vacation in FMB.

Nice location, great staff

The property itself was very nice, very clean, with a well stocked kitchen.It has a fantastic ocean view, and a comfortable and airy balcony.We saw dolphins off the shore several different times; very cool.Some amenities were undersupplied, but luckily there is on site staffingwho can resolve most issues; this is a really great feature and the staff are great.Communication is great, with everyone we contacted responding immediately,providing helpful and complete information.There are carts for luggage, and carts for groceries, the elevator works.On site parking is plentiful and easy.Now the downsides.FMB is still recovering from the hurricane, so there is parking issues,significant traffic issues, and building noise from 8 to 5. We expected this and we're ok with it. It needs to happen.There is also the Beach Renourishment Project (google it) which has anincredibly loud pump that can run all hours day and night. This is not the fault of Casa Playa so I dont blame them, but when it runs you dont hearwaves, breeze, birds, or anything. You hear it through the walls when trying to sleep.Finally, the one issue I do have with Casa Playa is they play music through outside speakers. During the time when the pumps were down, the music was annoying. There will be a time in the future when life returnsto normal. This will still be a clean, comfortable, well located beachfront property, with a great staff on a fun end of Fort Myers Beach. Heres to better days

Thank you Bill, we loved having you and your wife here! We and Fort Myers Beach appreciates wonderful people like you that come spend your vacation time with us...it is such a HUGE help to all on the island...Thank You! I am glad you liked the staff (everyone likes you as well) and also agree with you that Casa Playa has easy parking, working elevator, staff that quickly resolves issues, and plenty of luggage carts. We agree with you that finding parking downtown can be challenging (that is why so many people stay at Casa Playa as we are in easy walking distance to the restaurants, shops, and bars! Thank you for letting people know that the pump adding so much sand to beautify the beach was not "our fault", but the great news is that they just moved the pump down the beach and it is WAY better! Like most beach resorts, we play beach music during the day to add to the "beach vibe" as well as to drown out any construction noise (everyone prefers beach music to listening to construction workers lol). Again, we thank you for supporting the World Famous Casa Playa AND all of Fort Myers Beach and can't wait to see you again! Thank you so very much! Derek
