A great deal and situated on Alicia drive south of the Kailua-Kona nightlife district. The place was clean and comfortable and very attractively priced. Definitely the Hawaiian Hale experience! The landlord was very nice and obviously invested in our having a pleasant stay. To access the unit younger to climb a stairwell - don't rent this unit if you are unable to handle stairwells or have small (mobile not babies!) children. Perfect for a couple! Classic Hawaiian experience but not the classic resort experience.

A good enough place to stay. Despite the lack of AC, it was cool enough thanks to the ceiling fans. There is quite a bit of noise from the nearby intersection, usually being worst at night. Thankfully it was never bad enough to wake me up or really bother me, but just be prepared for the occasional loud vehicle blasting music.

Communication with Host and Owner was for top notch. Most concerns and/or problems were solved very quickly. Except for shower repair that required a vacant suite to fix by qualified repair person. When booked this VRBO for 3 weeks we were disappointed that our suite wouldn't be cleaned during our stay & our bed linens & towels not replaced once a week as we expected. But we were given access to W/D & given an extra set of bed linens. Which solved this issue. We were bothered by the street noise during the day and the early part of the evening. Since the location of this rental is on a fairly busy street & very close to a three-way stop. But ear plugs were provided & traffic noise was very minimal from midnight to 6:00 am. Quieted enough for us to hear beach waves during the middle of the night. Very nice!We did have a problem with power levels while cooking dinner a couple of times. We shorted out system when we were using cook top together with air fryer. But this was solved quickly since the caretaker was on-site to re-set the blown fuse. Perhaps upgrade to system would be considered for future tenants. Our stay had its ups & downs & good & bad. But over all very acceptable. We thought the location was great. Close to markets, groceries, amazing sunsets, upscale restaurants, espresso bar & two sandy beaches within walking distance. Lots of walks/hikes were only a short drive away. Plus we were given a secure storage area for our e-bikes on the ground floor. Thank You!
