Welcome to The Evergreen Retreat, your home base for mountain magic, family fun, and unforgettable group gatherings. Located inside Massanutten Resort, this expansive 7-bedroom, 3,000 sq ft home is purpose-built for large families, multi-family vacations, and friend groups who want plenty of space to spread out and endless ways to play.

Wake up to fresh mountain air, sip coffee on one of two massive decks, and enjoy the feeling of being tucked among the treetops. Spend your days exploring Massanutten’s year-round attractions, from skiing and tubing to golf, hiking, the indoor waterpark, mini golf, and more.

Back at home, you’ll find everything you need to relax, reconnect, and have fun:

LOCATION:
This home is on the Massanutten resort, and just a couple of minutes to most of the amenities provided by the Massanutten Property Owner’s Association (MPOA).
MPOA amenities:

• Park with picnic shelters
• Ballfield
• Outdoor swimming pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day (access to the MPOA pool need to be requested at least one week in advance from check-in date and access is not guaranteed - please contact us for more information).

Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process.

Please note there are FEES for use of the MPOA amenities that are paid at the time of use. We can't guarantee the community amenities and services availability and operation during your stay.

This home is in a private residential neighborhood within the Massanutten Property Owners Association (MPOA), governed by its rules and regulations. Your neighbors may include full-time families, retirees, second-home owners, and other guests. Please be respectful.

*Keep noise indoors during quiet hours
*No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its agents

*Keep all tires off the road
*Do not block fire hydrants or neighboring driveways
*Park only in designated areas or the overflow lot (4007 Peak Dr.)
*No buses, campers, or RVs at homes or roads
*Overflow lot available with written approval from your host

The most thoughtful home & hosts. We travel with around 20 family members at Christmas from toddlers, children, teens and adults. This home was beautiful, perfectly spacious and still cozy, and has so much to offer all ages. Game room loved by all. The most fun bunk room, karaoke, fire places, hot tub, sauna, movie theater, cocoon swings, outdoor dining, indoor dining for 18 together, super soft beds and anything you would ever want or need in the kitchen. So many tiny thoughtful touches that added up to an incredible stay. Right by skiing and snow tubing, restaurants and ice skating. We were able to park 5 suvs/trucks in the driveway. It’s also not steep, Best Christmas trip ever for our children and grandchildren as well as my husband and I. Couldn’t have been happier.
Teens and adults loved the movie theater. So cozy with swivel recliners.
Family loved the sauna.
Hot tub & lots of outdoor seating.

Easily one of the best rental experiences we have ever had!It is abundantly clear that the owners designed this space with incredible thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Every amenity and need has been anticipated. We especially appreciated the comprehensive and well-organized manual; whenever a question arose, the answer was clearly documented there.The facilities were outstanding:-The hot tub was warm and a wonderful way to relax.-The movie theater was a highlight! The owners went above and beyond by providing individual blankets and popcorn-The kitchen was well-equipped, making hosting a private chef really easy!-The downstairs game area offered plenty of options for fun for all ages.Beyond the main attractions, the small details made a huge difference, like the provision of makeup towels and hair ties in the bathrooms. The entire space was perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. (We only missed out on the sauna as we couldn't figure out the operation.)Genuinely a 10/10 stay. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a top-tier vacation spot.

We had the most amazing time! We have stayed in numerous rental homes over the years and I would have to say, this is probably my all-time favorite. It was so clean and felt well taken care of. Many rental homes these days feel over used, run down, and are not cleaned well between visitors. This was not the case at this home. Their cleaning crew deserves a shoutout!! You can tell they do not cut any corners )The kitchen was well stocked with necessary items for large meal prep. There was plenty of seating in the dining area. The grill was well stocked with propane The beds were ALL very comfortable, the pillows had just the right amount of fluff, and the sheets felt luxurious.The highlight of the trip was the game room! I even tried to offer to buy one of the arcade game because it was a fan favorite amongst our group. All of the games were in working order and were well taken care of. We created some fun memories in that basement arcade.The location of the property is perfect! We stayed in between the fall and winter season so we weren’t able to use the adventure park or ski slopes. We were still able to enjoy the basketball courts and the go-karts offered at the Massanutten resort and we all had a great time!A big thank you to our hosts! You guys have done an amazing job here and it shows. Thank you for sharing your space with our family, we created some wonderful memories.

Host was excellent and very easy to work with. We always got immediate responses to emails. House was very clean and spacious with tons of amenities. The Evergreen Lodge was perfect for our stay. Convenient to hiking, JMU, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, we had a great family reunion (ages 11-80). The movie room, hot tub, sauna, games and karaoke were so much fun for everyone. The beds were very comfortable and the kids room was a blast! We played putt putt at the resort, which was fun, but ran out of time to do any other resort activities. I’d highly recommend this property and hope to come again another time.

A Perfect Family Retreat!

The Evergreen Retreat was the perfect place for our multi-generational family trip! It has EVERYTHING for kids to grandparents to make you feel at home. The property is beautiful and the hosts are so thoughtful with every little detail. I really appreciated that they provide everything and we didn't need to worry about bringing our own linens, toilet paper, paper towels, etc! That made our lives so MUCH easier to not have to worry about anything. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the movie theatre was a family favorite. This home made our trip so special.

Great family retreat

This home in Massanutten was perfect for our family of 8 adults and five kids. Lots of king beds and a great bunk room. Everyone enjoyed the media room each night watching movies and eating popcorn. The downstairs game room has pool, fooseball, air hockey and more. The hot tub and sauna were such a plus for the adults. We thoroughly enjoyed our week.

Fun and comfort for the whole family

The property was perfect for 7 adults and 9 kids ages 4-15. There was something for everyone especially because it rained a lot of our week! We stayed entertained by the incredible theater room, numerous arcade games, pool table, air hockey, and skee ball. We very much appreciated the well stocked coffee bar every morning. We also were very comfortable in the 6 king bedrooms, and the kids loved the AMAZING bunk room for 6 of them! We also enjoyed the large dining table to have meals and play games. We’ve stayed many places as a family group and everyone said this was their favorite house so far! Thank you!

Wonderful family vacation in this beautiful home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Evergreen Resort! Everything was clean and beautifully decorated (love the different wallpapers in each room!). The house is very well equipped-kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cookware, etc and soaps, bags etc. Bathrooms have soaps, shampoo, toilet paper and more. There were many games, books, arcade fun, and the movie room to keep us all busy too! We have little ones (1-6 year olds) and had fun going to several local hikes, playgrounds, petting zoo, waterpark, and a vineyard (where they could run around in the field and play cornhole)-so the house is in a great location ! Close to groceries too (Food Lion). Enjoyed the swinging egg chairs outside and the firepit as well as the sauna and hot tub. Any small issues that came up were easily resolved with the owners and in a timely manner. Would recommend staying here!

Fun House

The house was so much fun. There were arcades, pool table, other games, a hot tub, and swing chairs. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The resort it is located in has great amenities, too. The owners responded immediately to any questions we had. I also appreciated the higher deck fo there was not chance of a bear visit :)
