I think I would add an air filter. There is a bit of an old house smell, obviously because it is indeed old. It can trigger allergies. The shower is detaching from the wall, so I would definitely handle that. The coffee was good but low on creamer. There was nothing major, and I am quite picky. The town is right by a huge lake which is beautiful. With a little more detail to the smaller things, I think it could be quite inviting. Put some plants out front. The husband is only on his 40’s and loved it out there. Thanks for the stay!

Nice place, clean facility, an older home so set expectations accordingly. Everything was in working order, needed some maintenance (shower stall) but overall comfortable. Central air system worked well. Boat power hook up not as convenient as I was hoping but available if needed which is better than most. I would stay again should the opportunity arise.

I enjoyed everything about this place! Located on Main Street it was easy to find and provided easy access to downtown. Very cute, cozy and clean! I would definitely stay here again.

Terrible experience!!

On our way to the property, they messaged us to say that they had double booked the unit we had reserved and that we would have to stay in a different unit. Second and much bigger problem was that the AC did not work. When we got there we turned the thermostat down as it read 80 at our arrival. The outside temperature at the time was in the mid-90s. Two hours later it still was at 80 when we had turned it down to 70 earlier. We then messaged the host to let him know. He assured us it would cool off soon but to let him know if it didn’t. We went out for a few hours. When we returned it was still 80. We messaged the host and did not receive a response. We went the entire night, overnight, with no AC and no response or communication from the host whatsoever! We tried messaging the host numerous times but never heard from them again at all. We texted and messaged through the app but they NEVER ever responded at all to the AC issue, offered to come look at it, apologized, or offered any resolution for us. They just completely ghosted us which is unacceptable for a host in my opinion!

I specifically booked this property because I needed a 1:00 PM check-in to attend a wedding. I confirmed this with the host, who responded that it “would not be a problem.” However, when I arrived, I had still not received the entry code despite sending multiple messages. After several phone calls, the host finally answered and informed me that the property had not yet been cleaned and that an early check-in was not possible.The host then stated that early check-in required an additional fee, but this was never communicated to me beforehand. Had I known there was a charge, I would have gladly paid it or booked a different property that could accommodate my schedule.The lack of communication and conflicting information created a stressful situation, especially since I had driven several hours and was trying to get ready for an important event. The home itself appeared generally clean, although the pillows did not have pillowcases on them. Overall, the communication and check-in experience were disappointing.

Absolutely perfect place to stay if you’re driving in to fish. Walking distance from bars and restaurants. It was quiet and cute inside… the bed was actually super comfy which was amazing after a long day outside. We enjoyed good food and a drink at The Takeout down the street. Relaxed on the cozy couch and I liked the tall ceilings, beautiful fireplace and charming fixtures.
