Consider this house your home away from home while you visit La Crosse. This welcoming property features 2 cozy bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with a twin bed. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and unwind in the bathtub after a day of exploring. With amenities like a washing machine and WiFi. We'll be available to answer any questions while you stay at our place. NOTE: If you are looking for something affordable in a cute little home then this is the place. Not everything is perfect 
this is why we rent out at an affordable rate. This home is for affordable not perfection! If you have high expectations please book the Chalet.

The property needs a bit of TLC but overall was clean and accommodating. Great place for our golden doodle and a visit with the grandkids. It was fun to watch the eagles on the river.

It was a very clean property. We were pleased that there was a washer and dryer to use. We didn't spend a lot of time in or around the rental, so it met our needs for sleeping there.

As a solo traveler, the unit worked for my basic needs, but there were definitely some concerns. Several lamps weren’t plugged in, and some were placed where there was no accessible power source. There are no outlets near or behind the bed—only one by the light switch near the door. There was hardly any light in the main area of the home.Privacy was also an issue. The main bedroom door is on a sliding track that doesn’t function properly, often falling off, and it leaves a large gap into the hallway. The bathroom oddly has two doors, but neither locks securely, leaving little privacy there as well.The beds were uncomfortable, though manageable.The back sliding door had blinds that covered only a fraction of the windows. To make matters worse, part of the curtain setup was falling off the rod when I arrived. Overall, the condition felt rough compared to other rentals I’ve stayed in at the same price point.That said, I made it work since I spend most of my time outdoors and mainly just needed a place to sleep. Still, compared to other stays over the years, this one fell short, even considering the lower price.One important note: if you’re towing a trailer or boat, be prepared. The house sits on a main road, so you can’t pull straight in. Backing into the driveway requires coming down the cross street and waiting for a large enough break in traffic to maneuver safely.PRO: It is 2 minutes from Veterans Park boat ramp!

Not great, be prepared.

We were disappointed with our stay at this property. The house had a persistent musty smell throughout, and some of the furniture shown in the listing photos was different from what was actually in the home. The beds were uncomfortable and rickety. Several of the renovations appear to have been done hastily, with visible gaps in the walls and exposed, unfinished areas of the ceiling.While the house looked generally clean, there were a few things that raised concerns—spiderwebs and spiders on the ceiling and a large bug that showed up in the sink by nighttime. It made us question how well the house was sealed and what else might be getting in.Privacy was also an issue. Both the main bedroom and the bathroom have barn doors that don’t close fully, leaving several inches of open space that let in both light and sound. One of the other bedrooms has a window with no blinds or coverings, which not only made it hard to sleep past sunrise but also raised safety and comfort concerns—especially since the house is located on a busy road and we didn’t feel comfortable with people potentially being able to see inside. Ultimately, we realized we wouldn’t be able to relax and enjoy the rest of our trip in this house. After just one night, we checked into a hotel for the remaining two nights of our stay. The location and layout had potential, but the lack of comfort, cleanliness, and attention to detail made this property fall far short of expectations.
