AMAZING

We had the best time at the Wright house!!!! The property and home itself are absolutely STUNNING! We truly didn’t want to leave the house each day. The host, Chelsa, was incredibly responsive for any questions we had - and the check in and check out processes were very easy. We showed up to fresh flowers and chocolate and it was so sweet! The house also has everything you would need! We are trying to find more reasons to go back to Bayfield just to stay at the Wright House! Thank you so much Chelsa, for a wonderful stay!

Book group retreat

The pictures of the house and property were amazing and I just wasn’t to sure about it. Then, when we arrived, we were amazed and awestruck with the place. I didn’t even want to finish unloading my vehicle, I just wanted to take in the view. I was also glad we chose to stay in the first night and make our meal. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious for multiple people to work in. Several friends commented that we didn’t care if we never left the place. The bedrooms were wonderful and comfortable and perfect. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy one another and still have some personal space. The communication prior to check in and reminders for checking out was great. It was hard to leave and return to reality. It’s nice to know this little slice of paradise is not far from home.

Special 50th Anniversary Celebration/5 night stay

This property gives family and extended family all the feels of staying in the lap of luxury. The roads to get to the house seem a little off the beaten path, however once you get there; you will experience a spectacular view of Madeline Island and Basswood Island. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything and everything you’ll need to cook your meals as you wish. There is a gas grill as well as a wood burning stove for having relaxing summer fires with unbelievable starry nights. We did think that the refrigerator could have been a little larger for the size kitchen there. We had 2 chest coolers set up on the deck with all the canned beer, soda and water. The beds are clean and comfortable and there are many beds. The VRBO app states that there are 2 king beds in two of the bedrooms and only 1 of the rooms has a king bed. The bathrooms are clean and functional, however a bit difficult to have only 2 showers available for our group of 12 people. Make sure you bring your own paper plates, napkins etc as buying groceries in Bayfield is a very expensive way to grab the necessities. There is one local grocery store and one local liquor store which are pretty expensive. We brought the majority of our groceries from home. We ate out ate a couple of the the local restaurants The Pickled Herring and Good Thyme are both amazing. There are also many local wineries, breweries and orchards in the area. Overall, the entire experience at The Wright House/Bayfield area was AMAZING!

The View is 10/10. Full Stop.The Wright House earns a perfect ten for one reason above all else: the most incredible view of Lake Superior I have ever seen in a vacation rental. The property itself is quite lovely, but that view is the reason to book — and it will not disappoint.The house feels genuinely secluded. You feel like you are staying in nature, not just near it. Watching the sunrise over Lake Superior with a morning coffee while looking out over the water is an experience that simply cannot be matched.A few layout details to consider before booking:- Due to large windows highlighting the amazing views, the house gets warm even with the a/c on. If you prefer to sleep cooler, you may want to bring a fan. - This property works beautifully for a girls' trip, guys' trip, family vacation, or three couples comfortable sharing bathrooms and common space. Knowing the layout in advance helps with room assignments.- The main level has one large bedroom with an ensuite 3/4 bathroom and a sitting room with direct lake views. - The second level has three bedrooms plus a sitting room facing the lake, but only one shared full bathroom, accessible directly from two of the three bedrooms. Guests in the third bedroom must either walk through an adjoining room or use the main level bathroom. - The third level offers stunning views and a 1/2 bath, but only two single beds — less practical for couples.Plan room assignments with the bathroom logistics in mind.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The view from the house is gorgeous! The kitchen had plenty of space for our entire group to hang out and cook. Plus lots of little spots to sneak away to read or just enjoy the view. The biggest issue we encountered was the walkway into the property. My parents are in their 80’s and they struggled with the uneven stone steps. A railing would be very helpful. Otherwise we loved our stay. Thanks!
