Everything was clean and the rooms were very comfortable. Plenty of heat on the cold nights and the fireplace was a nice touch. Close enough to the ski resort and a beautiful view of the property. A great get away place.

Fun on the slopes, but cleaning crew needs to step up

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was comfortably appointed, and conveniently located to the ski slopes. Not as clean as we would’ve hoped for, definitely, and that’s the only reason I can’t give a full 5 stars on this review. Our kids sat on the couch and put their feet up, the first night we got into the house, and the bottoms of their socks were black! We had a crawling baby in our group, and his poor little sleepers turned dark in just a few minutes of crawling on the floor. Since we were planning to be there several days, we took rags and wiped the floors down ourselves, just in the main area where the babies would be...the water was beyond disgusting. We changed it several times, and it was dark brown every time. Lots of dust and dirt and obviously hadn’t been cleaned under the furniture for a long time. Upstairs toilet also needed cleaning before using. Not sure what we paid such an expensive cleaning fee for... Other than that, though, the house was comfortable and the kitchen very well appointed - and we loved being so close to the slopes! The hot tub was a great way to relax sore muscles after a long day of skiing. Perfect weather, and overall a great time. Would come back again, if house was cleaned properly.

Great location. Perfect for someone wanting to enjoy the outdoors

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, the place has everything you need, beds are super comfortable. The kitchen could use some organization and definitely a lot of cleaning. While they are pots and dishes, everything is mismatched, old and put in random places. It did not bother us because we brought our own, but we were expecting a little better for that kind of money.the place might be spot cleaned once in a while, but you can tell that it’s never really seen a good cleaning. The floors are filthy probably just only swept the stove and the oven were so dirty. The toaster was barely usable as well. We had to clean them before we could use them. The water pressure in the kitchen is not acceptable. This is probably a better place for people who really want to enjoy skiing and the outdoor I just want a place to eat and sleep. If you want to enjoy the house itself, it needs a little bit of help but overall we were happy with our stay. The management company is probably the best part of this day. They are very responsive and very helpful.

The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The cabin is really cute and has a lots of things in the kitchen to cook with. We saw wild turkeys and deer outside the cabin which was really cool. The firepit outside was really great, we made smores. Each room has its own heater which was really appreciated since it was cold outside.

We found clothes that had been left and dirty dishes straight from dishwasher. Closet door came off track and almost fell on 93 year old grandmother. Lots of dead light bulbs. But we had a great time spending time with each other age range 56 -93.

Sugar Mountain Perfection

We Loved this Perfect Cabin on Sugar Mountain! The cabin exceeded all our needs. The cabin was clean, perfect location with an amazing view, plenty of space for our family to celebrate our son’s graduation from App State. We spend a lot of time in Boone/Banner Elk area and this cabin is one we will be returning to. The staff at the rental office were amazing answering several questions helping us out with a forgotten item. Highly Highly Recommend!!

Feb ski trip

House was nice. We were a little confused about the heat instructions. This was disappointing as our children did not sleep well the first night due to them being very cold. I suggest you reach out to property manager if you have questions as throughout the house it notes do not touch thermostat. This will result in freezing the people sleeping in the downstairs bedroom. Other than that, the house was nice and fit our group well.
