This 4 acre scenic and serene woodland, is a fully-equipped mountain home just 10 minutes from downtown Durango and 5 miles from Lake Nighthorse. This is the perfect getaway for those seeking adventure and relaxation. Whether you’re hiking/biking/4WD the San Juan Mountains, skiing at Purgatory Resort, riding the Narrow Gauge Train, soaking at Durango Hot Springs, exploring Mesa Verde National Park, rafting/fishing the Animas River or taking in the tastes of the southwest, our home is ideally located for all your adventures.

Guests have a spacious indoor and outdoor living area. This includes an open floor plan kitchen, living and dining room. The primary suite is on the top floor with a king bed and luxurious spa bathroom with steam shower. Downstairs is the secondary suite with a full size bed, kitchenette and private entry. The 3rd bedroom is for children with a bunk bed and a trundle bed - 3 twin beds in total (weight limit of 50 lbs on the top bunk). The downstairs also offers a secondary living room with a full size futon, a full bath and a laundry room with a half bath. There is a full size air mattress as well.
The outdoor space provides a large patio with propane grill, 2 tables, and fire pit area.

You will have the entire main house to yourselves as well as the patio area. Please note that this house has a guest house next door which has a shared yard. You will not have access to the shared yard or the guest house. The co-host, Shaheen and her husband live in the guest house. The main house is still very private and they are available if you have any questions during your stay.

This property requires 4WD/AWD in the winter months to access and has a lot of steps and stairs.
