Maison de vacances Olive's Hug

Cette maison mitoyenne avec piscine, construite en style traditionnel dalmate il y a 200 ans a été entièrement rénové et modifié les normes modernes pour un séjour agréable. Le rez-de-chaussée et le premier étage sont reliés par un escalier extérieur. La piscine (22m2) est en partie clôturé pour assurer la sécurité des enfants. Deux places de parking sont situés en face de la maison, sur le terrain non clos, tandis que la piscine et la cour sont clôturés. Poljana est un endroit petit et paisible sur l'île Ugljan et bénéficie de nombreuses heures d'ensoleillement. L'île est bien relié à la terre ferme, et facilement accessible.

Unforgettable holidays in a nice and lovely house

We've just spent 2 wonderful weeks in family (2 adults and our 3 daughters of 8, 6 and 2) in this beautiful house This old (and completely renovated) house is located in a pretty small village of the Ugljan island, off Zadar. Everything is available on the island (shops, restaurants, boats, beaches...) and there are many places to visit (at least the breathtaking panoramic view from the St-Michael fortress or the lunar landscapes of the Kornati Islands). And, thanks to very regular ferries, it is quite easy to access the mainland to visit all other wonders of Croatia (Zadar, Split, Sibenik, Plitvice lakes or National Park of Krka). The house is very nice, cool and well equipped. All rooms are spacious and there are all the expected facilities in order to spend a dream vacation. The terrace is very nice with shady corners for napping. The pool is secure and very well maintained. And - on top of that - Dolores is a lovely host, fully available to answer our questions or give the best advices to visit the country. Thanks for all Dolores, it was a real pleasure to be your guests. Julie, Thibault, Charline ("her" cats miss her terribly...), Ninon and Candice.

I am so happy to hear your kind words about your vacation in our house. Thank you so much for that, but above all for respect you treated our home with. Fantastic place to stay!

We enjoyed a super relaxing week at the beautiful house (with kids aged 15 & 12), & definitely hope to visit again! This was our 1st visit to Croatia & we all loved the relaxed pace of life on Ugljan & the fact that there was plenty to see & do, but it wasn’t too crowded. We really enjoyed meeting Dolores – she is an amazing host, going above & beyond to ensure guests are really happy. She's very welcoming & responds quickly to messages/questions, providing clear directions & helpful information. The house is absolutely beautiful. It’s well-equipped, spacious, spotlessly clean everywhere, & very comfortable. It is private & secure with convenient parking & the walled outdoor area & pool are lovely, with plenty of seating both in the sun & in the shade – we spent plenty of time outside/in the pool. It’s perfectly situated for exploring the local area – within easy walking distance of several lovely beaches, bars, restaurants, & local shops. We barely used our hire car as most things could be easily reached by foot. Most days we strolled to Preko, where there are many fun ways to pass the time (exploring the beaches, snorkelling, pedalos, paddleboarding, kayaking, & inflatable water park to name a few). The beaches have bars/restaurants nearby – all are friendly & relaxed. You really can set the pace here – doing as much or as little as you like. Olive’s Hug is a perfect place to stay - we absolutely recommend it. Thank you Dolores for a wonderful week & for the figs!

Location idéale

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la très belle maison de Dolorès. C'est une maison ancienne que Dolorès a rénovée entièrement. La piscine est très agréable et nous en avons beaucoup profité. Les commerces et les plages sont à quelques minutes à pied. Nous avons parcouru une bonne partie de l'île à vélo. Peu connue, elle a l'avantage de ne pas être trop touristique. Merci beaucoup à Dolorès pour son accueil, sa disponibilité et réactivité. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Fantastisches Haus & tolle Gastgeberin, nur zu empfehlen!

Das Haus ist wunderschön und in einer sehr guten und ruhigen Lage auf der Insel Ugljan. Alle Angaben sowie das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis haben gestimmt und das Haus hat unsere Erwartungen sogar noch übertroffen! Dolores ist eine sympathische Gastgeberin und hat uns herzlich begrüßt und bereits vor der Ankunft alle Fragen geklärt. Vielen Dank nochmal an dieser Stelle! Zu 6. ist das Haus wirklich perfekt. Es hat alles, was man braucht - das beste ist natürlich der Pool. Wer ein gemütliches, authentisches Haus und keine kühle Luxusunterkunft in Kroatien sucht, ist hier richtig. Der Strand und ein Supermarkt sowie der Fähranleger von Zadar sind nahegelegenen. Wir können das Haus wirklich jedem ans Herz legen!

Stilvoll und herzlich

Wir (Familie von 5 Personen) verlebten eine erholsame Zeit in dem wunderschön eingerichteten und sehr sauberen Ferienhaus im Fischerdorf Poljana auf Uglian inmitten einer einheimischen Nachbarschaft mit Gärten voll Oliven-, Feigen- und Granatapfelbäumen. Die Vermieterin empfing uns spät am Abend vor Ort. Sie hatte nicht nur das Taxi zur Fähre für uns gebucht, sondern auch noch eine Mahlzeit bereitgestellt. Der Pool ruhte im Oktober schon, dafür hatte sie uns allen Fahrräder besorgt, mit denen wir die Insel erobern konnten. Empfehlen können wir die Dorfkneipe (guter Kaffee, leckere Pizza), die Konoba Petrina in Preko (leckeres Seafood, sehr freundliche Bedienung) und das CokoRoko in Preko ( Torten, Eis). Die Aussicht von Sv Mihovil ist gigantisch. Der Weg dorthin allerdings recht steil und steinig. Vielen Dank, Dolores!

Entspannter Aufenthalt

Wir haben eine entspannte Woche in diesem sehr schönen alten Haus verbracht, welches alle Annehmlichkeiten aufweist, die man braucht. Auch der Pool ist sehr gepflegt. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin Dolores ist sehr gut und unkompliziert. Auf kleine Wünsche wird sehr schnell reagiert und für Fragen ist sie jederzeit erreichbar.

Perfect week in Poljana

We enjoyed a perfect week with our kids (3, age 8-10-12) at Olive’s Hug of Dolores. The house is beautiful renovated. The pool has a good size for kids to play in. For swimming there is the option to use the water stream. Dolores is an excellent host - always available for any questions or for support when needed. There is no need to have a car on the island - we did all on bike. The garden /pool area is very private due to the beautiful stone wall around it. We played a lot of games at the outside table next to the pool. We can really recommend this holiday home for a family holiday.

Very nice and family-friendly house, also for a group

It was a very nice and clean house. We don't miss anything. Pool was nice and for cleaning the owner comes. The terrace has a big table and you have the possibilty for barbeque. All was create. The contact to the owner was really good. Wishes are possible and you could ask for trips or nice places at the island. Only "bad" point are the streets. The are really small... So with a bus you have to look. But all in all it was a wonderful holiday.

Großartiges Haus, großartige Vermieterin

Sehr gepflegtes, geschmackvoll restauriertes Haus das keine Wünsche offen läßt. Schöner extrem gepflegter Pool, sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, wunderschöne Zimmer. Dolores ist eine sehr sympathische Gastgeberin, die wenn gewünscht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Sogar einen Geburtstagskuchen hat Sie für uns gebacken... Wir hatten einen sehr entspannten Urlaub hier und können Dolores Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Beautiful house in excellent location

This is a fantastic house with a fab host . We were made feel very welcome and left to enjoy our holiday . The house is very old but has been modernised very sympathetically to a very high standard . The beach is 5 mins away as are shops and bars - although we preferred to walk to Preko -15 min walk - for a better selection . This is a very peaceful location , the pool isn’t large but was more than adequate for us . Would highly recommend this house and host to anyone .
