Great property and as mentioned, the back porch was a wonderful amenity! I think the description is pretty clear, but it is on a canal with a boat slip directly behind the property. The host let us know that you need to be fairly proficient at navigating a boat to get in and out of the there. My husband, who is a very experienced boater, was able to do it, but I wouldn’t attempt it if you are inexperienced. It’s newer and nicer than a lot of the other properties on lake Burton and we enjoyed that. Overall, it was a great experience and we will return!

The most perfect weekend

I cannot say enough great things about this home! From the boat house, the hot tub, to the house cleanliness… this will absolutely be our go to place to stay when we come to Lake Burton! The kids had an amazing time, my 75 year old mother in law loved it, and my husband and I enjoyed it so much! Amanda, thank you so much for making our stay so perfect!

We enjoyed our stay and had a lot of fun on the lake. The property is very clean and comfortably decorated. The bed in the master has a very comfortable mattress. I loved the daybed swing on the back porch and dozed off several times out there because it was so relaxing. A few things that would kick this up to five stars. We have ATT cell service and could not get a signal. The WiFi password is in an emailed information sheet but we had to drive into Clayton for service so I could look up the password in my email. A print out or plaque with wifi password inside the property would be helpful for guests arriving. We used the fire pit to roast marshmallows one night and that was nice. The chairs around the fire pit seem to only fully recline so it was tough to really get comfy. A starter pack of dishwasher pods, a couple of trash bags and a few coffee supplies would have led to a five star review. Over all this is a lovely property and I highly recommend staying here with your family or group of friends for a relaxing vacation!

Great Lake Burton Getaway!

Everything about the house and our stay was perfect! Great location on the water. House was fully equipped with everything our family needed for a last minute lake vacation! Kitchen was newly renovated and had tons of cooking supplies. Great screened in back porch and fire pit that we loved (the host even left us with a s’mores kit!). Master bath was totally renovated and wonderful. Would love to stay here again if it works out!

Perfect cottage for a relaxing stay

We spent time here during Spring Break and enjoyed every second of it. The home is beautifully done and every detail was considered. Our favorite space was the huge screened-in porch. We ate and read books out there then star gazed from the hot tub at night. It's located on a quiet street among the woods. Downtown Clayton is close enough with lots of yummy eats and good shopping. We would 100% stay here again.

Lake Burton Gem

Our 4th time back to Burton and loved this home. The owner is very attentive and responded to any questions we had immediately. The interior and exterior are updated and clean. The back porch is relaxing and a great place to take an afternoon nap! The boat house fit our 23' rental boat with no issues, and the canal was deep enough to navigate easily. It was a great stay, and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year.

Spent a long weekend over the Memorial Day holiday at this wonderful water-front home on Lake Burton. The home has some really nice upgrades including a very modern, well-stocked kitchen and a master bath that looks brand new. Our young boys loved the cozy bunkbeds and the large master bedroom was really nice with a king bed and high-end linens. The exterior space was great for kids to spend time in the private hot tub, or do some fishing right off the yard into the canal. Location was great in a very quiet, small residential neighborhood with easy access to most of Lake Burton's marina's and a short drive to downtown for shopping and restaurants. This home will definitely be our new Lake Burton getaway from now on. Thank you.

The lake house was just perfect and we loved every minute! One person in our group said she slept better here than at home - the ultimate compliment! The screened in porch took center stage though. What a great hang out spot Lots of space inside - plenty of room for all of the cooks in the kitchen. In addition to being ultra clean with extra beds in the bunk bed room to accommodate a crowd, there are so many extra touches that the hosts provides that made our stay feel super special. Plus they were very communicative and helpful with our plans and activities. The house fronts a quiet, calm water canal that opens up to the most spectacular view of the mountains - both in front of and behind you. Hydrangeas are spilling over from the property into the canal. It's gorgeous. The stress just melts away here. We highly, highly recommend!

A Perfect Mountain-Lake Getaway!

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful Lake Burton cottage! The home recently hit the VRBO market and so glad we gave it a try! Everything here is so well thought out and welcoming, clearly maintained by owners who know how to create a great guest experience. The house is spotless and beautifully decorated. The open-concept living area and screened-in porch were perfect for our family time and relaxing after long days on the water or exploring the nearby trails. The kitchen had everything we needed (and more), and the bedrooms were super comfortable. We loved having lake access and rented a boat at one of the nearby marinas. It made it so easy to get out on the water each day. In the evenings, we rotated between soaking in the hot tub, sitting around the fire pit, and enjoying quiet moments on the porch.Location-wise, you’re close to Clayton for shopping, wineries, and great dining options. But honestly, we barely wanted to leave the house! Whether you're looking for outdoor adventure or just a peaceful escape, this home truly has it all.

The house was perfectly clean! We loved the location. It is on the Dicks Creek end and with the recent drought we didn’t have enough water to get our boat to the house but we did catch a few fish off dock. We brought our boat and if anyone is planning on bringing their boat- drop it off at the marina BEFORE you go to the house! The street is narrow and there is no place to turn around. We had to do a 187 point turn but finally got it! We rented a campsite at Moccasin creek state park just to use their facilities and were able to leave our boat there all night. It worked out well for us as it is just a couple of minutes down the road. The home is decorated well, is very cozy & clean home. The screened porch was relaxing. The neighbors were great and helped us get our boat turned around without going into anyone’s grass. Also- don’t forget to save photos of all check in info as there is zero cell service. The house WiFi worked great. We had few minor questions and the owner responded right away. We would definitely book again.

This is our 2nd year here and it was even better than the last! Amanda is so attentive, responsive, and will do anything to make your stay perfect! This home is one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in and has everything you’d ever need while on vacation! The channel out back and the boat slip make enjoying the lake that much easier! Our family did not leave the back screened in porch the whole time we were at the house! This place is a dream and we cannot wait to visit again!
