The Secretariat Room at The Townsman Hotel by Guesthouses is located on the third floor above the Charlottesville Downtown Mall. This room features classic comforts with antique accents that create a warm Virginian retreat, and guests may relax and enjoy the terrace with a sky view nestled just above the bustling downtown action, surrounded by restaurants, bars, and shops. Enjoy hassle-free access with nearby complimentary parking, self check in, and local off site staff just a call away. Explore the vibrant Charlottesville area, where you can indulge in dining, shopping, an enchanting night life and a variety of activities such as hiking and visiting historical sites like Monticello. Room amenities include access to Common House social Club, free parking, speedy Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, Nespresso coffee maker and Smart TV. Some walking and stairs are required, as the parking space is about a 5-minute walk and the building does not have an elevator. This sweet boutique hotel was the absolute best stay! It brought the amenities, charm, location, and comfort that we needed for our stay. I’ve already recommended this spot to friends when they visit Charlottesville and hope to return and stay again. We loved the aesthetic, it was easy to get anywhere from the location, it was tidy, quiet, and had everything we needed plus the allure of more privacy and unique furnishings and features. Communications from owner/manager were great as well!

Lovely and convenient

First, the only difference between the listing and the room was the bedframe, but I had to be honest! Gorgeously comfortable bed, though. Everything was lovely, we loved being right in the middle of the mall. Other than the street noise (which was expected and not unreasonable) it was nice and quiet. Check in was smooth and communication was clear. If we are ever back in the area, we would stay here again!

Parking was a bit a walk from unit, but well worth the convenience of the location. Very close to the shopping on the street and open mall below. We would definitely reserve this unit again.
