One of a Kind Chalet situé dans le parc national de Grand Teton

Notre cabine dispose d'un emplacement spectaculaire, directement en face des pics de Grand Teton. Un parc national rare en détention, la cabine est à la frontière du parc national de Grand Teton et Bridger-Teton National Forest, donnant sur le parc et offrant de superbes randonnées par la porte arrière.

Le chalet est situé sur Shadow Mountain, ainsi nommé parce que le Grand Teton projette son ombre à cet endroit exact où le soleil se couche derrière les montagnes. Ceci est l'endroit pour regarder magnifiques couchers de soleil sur les montagnes, chacun ressemble à aucun autre, avec des rayons de lumière rayonnant hors les sommets pour quelques instants avant descend le soir étoilé.

La cabine est situé dans une prairie ouverte 1 acres rempli de fleurs sauvages en été. Il est loin des autres maisons, mais il ne se sent pas à distance. Il est un rapide 10 minutes en voiture - ou une belle balade à vélo - jusqu'à l'entrée du parc national et de l'épicerie de Dornan, restaurants et légendaire magasin de vin. Il y a un sources chaudes à proximité, où les enfants courent de petits ménés avec leurs filets pendant que leurs parents pratiquent rouleaux de kayak. Des troupeaux de bisonand antilope errent sur les appartements en dessous de la cabine. Il se trouve à 25 minutes en voiture de la ville de Jackson, où il y a beaucoup à découvrir et à apprécier. Il est d'environ une heure de balade en voiture à l'entrée sud du parc national de Yellowstone, où nous vous recommandons l'intention de passer la nuit pour laisser suffisamment de temps pour explorer le premier parc national du monde.

Notre cabine est une oasis paisible et rafraîchissant situé dans "l'Amérique Serengeti". Les familles reviennent souvent à l'année de la cabine après année, ce qui en fait leur deuxième maison dans les Tetons.

• 100% ambiance familiale, pas du tout une chambre d'hôtel ou la location condo. Une retraite familiale et favori-place-dans-le-monde ambiance

• l'eau de puits délicieux, probablement de l'eau meilleur goût sur la planète

• pont extérieur et hors de la zone de pique-nique avec barbecue

• piano et claviers, beaucoup de bons livres, une cheminée et du bois de chauffage

Que nous ne proposons pas
• TV ou d'un service de téléphone cellulaire fiable (téléphones intelligents semblent bien fonctionner et il y a une ligne terrestre)

• Hébergement de luxe. Ceci est un petit, cabine simple, 100% à l'aise, mais rien d'extraordinaire.

• service Internet ne fonctionne pas cette année. Pardon! Smartphones sont généralement OK.

Sweet cabin the woods. Secluded but very close to the Grand Teton Park entrance. Check-in was smooth and the host was responsive and helpful. We would definitely return!

Just an amazing property if you want to be away from the crowds and be immersed in the sounds and sights of Yhe Grand Tetons. We felt honored to be a part of this family-owned cabin. The real McCoy. No gimmicks or kitsch. Down-to-earth with wonderful momentous, maps, a piano, music, and books. Camera was very responsive. Be sure you know how to get back (figure out the route in reverse) in case you’re late getting back from Yellowstone. Dark skies are no joke! The Milky Wsy never looked better! Hope to return and do more forest-bathing!

I was not impressed with property but the listing started it was not luxurious. Bed were not great and interior was so so. A lot of electrical cords powering different lights. Very dark place that could be greatly improved by putting in better light bulbs. Not sure why no microwave but really no room in very small kitchen. Bbq grill is charcoal which is not the best option. Location was great and views were nice. It rained and the front path is all dirt so be aware of that. Just was not what my family was hoping for but the many reviews are all positive so maybe I am just a crying baby. This place could be great with a little love from the owners

I've thought a lot about how to word my review, and even if I should do it. This is not a positive review, so be warned. This is a very rustic cabin at best, the location definitely has great value but overall, the cost is exhorbitant for what you get. Everything worked, the expected appliances, kitchen supplies, etc were included, ond of course there were sufficient bedding and bath towels. The rooms are very dark, poorly lit. Extension cords everywhere. Really - everywhere. And still, even considering all the uncovered extension cords, the rooms remain dim. This is advertised as a 2 bedroom structure, and if anyone thinks the bunk room (bedroom 2), at 4x7 or so feet, should be labeled a "bedroom" is a mystery to me. It's a tiny room and the flimsy-appearing bunkbed frame looks dangerous to me.The grounds around the cabin are rough and can be hard to navigate for an older person. That should be mentioned in their posting before someone slips or trips and breaks a limb.The contents of the cabin, the wall decor, books, photos, and all the other ephemera , make the cabin perhaps a one of a kind listing.I can not stay here again, at least not without acknowledgement from the owner that the cabin's many wiring issues will be addressed.

Dear Steve, Thank you for your detailed and honest review. It's true that we use extension cords all around the cabin -- have for decades -- but we are planning to upgrade the wiring before the next season 2027. Otherwise, yes, we advertise our cabin as a rustic cabin and yes the grounds are in their natural state and we have no intention of changing any of that. The cabin is still a family retreat and has all the family memorabilia, yes. We don't intend to change any of that either. As far as being dim, the cabin has a wall of windows in the front and I don't think of it as dim in the daytime, just low lighting at night. So I guess it was not a good match for you and we will be upgrading the wiring. Thanks again for your suggestions. Candra

Cabin was rustic and very nice, stayed 4 nights. Amenities are slim (no tv, internet, dishwasher or microwave) however I enjoyed the simplicity of it and the peace of being without screens and enjoying nature and the National Park. Host is very thorough with the notes she provides on everything which is appreciated. View from the cabin is great since you can see the Tetons from the large living room window and outside. Only suggestion would be to trim some of the trees for a better view but I am not sure if that’s possible since there is another cabin below. Location is also great, not too far from Mormon Row and was a good base camp while exploring the National Park. Wildlife: Woke up one morning to Mule Deer outside the cabin and heading towards the park from the cabin the Bison herd had moved into the area and was very close to the road.Only a couple downsides in my opinion, lighting and price. Lighting was not too bad once I figured it out but you can tell lighting in the cabin was an afterthought since the lights are mostly connected to outlets by extension cords and hung around. I just had to follow the wiring in some cases to find which light it went to.The bigger downside for me was the price. I understand it’s in a good location but I just think it was a little on the expensive side for a cabin that is older that is without certain amenities but I understand it probably has a good bit of sentimental value. Overall loved it and would recommend.

I really appreciate this detailed review and learning what worked and didn't work so well at the cabin for you. Yes, the lighting is definitely makeshift -- has been for decades. We'll talk about how to upgrade before next season. I appreciate the suggestion. Regarding price, the cabin is priced lower than most accommodations in Jackson and we haven't raised the price for years - it is actually comparable to the cost of an inexpensive motel in town. The location is a perfect balance between seclusion and proximity to the park. I loved the access road to get to the house as it has some secret pullouts that tourists wouldn't know about. These are perfect for sunrise/sunset and star gazing!

What a great place to start our Tetons/Yellowstone holiday. Remote, detox from mobile phones and internet, very homely. We really had a great time here.

This was the perfect cabin to unwind and stay during our trip to Grand Teton National Park. It is very rustic and full of character, but still had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The view out of the living room windoe cannot be beat! I definitely recommend this cabin for anyone who wants to unplug and truly enjoy nature!

This has been our family retreat since we built the cabin almost 40 years ago. The 4th generation is now in the process of falling in love with the cabin and the Tetons. The contact person has lived in Jackson for more than 20 years and is happy to provide any assistance, including local tips.

Our family came to Jackson every summer to climb in the mountains. Father (grandfather, great-grandfather) was an avid mountaineer. We were very fortunate to be in Jackson when this unique parcel became available: an old-time ranching family decided to sell a few acres at the edge of the National Park. A handful of parcels were snapped up in a matter of days -- including our purchase! -- and the Park bought the rest.

The first dramatic feature you'll notice about our cabin is the views of the valley floor and of the Grand Tetons directly in front of you. The next thing you'll notice is the quiet. And the next thing you'll notice is a feeling of peace and delight. Works for everyone, all ages.
