Cabine au pied de la gamme Beartooth

Maison d'hôtes confortable et moderne sur un petit élevage de chevaux et de bétail (240 acres). Profitez de la vue panoramique depuis le porche de la montagne Beartooth et Absaroka ainsi que le Heart Mountain au sud. Retournez et passez du temps à regarder la faune - les aigles, les faucons, l'antilope, la queue blanche et le cerf mulet sont souvent sur la propriété, et le coyote occasionnel traverse. La pêche sur le Clark's Fork River est à proximité, tout comme la randonnée dans Clark's Fork Canyon et d'autres pistes de montagne. Cherchez des wapitis, des chèvres de montagne, des moutons et des ours dans les montagnes voisines. Cody et Powell sont tous à 30 milles de là, le pittoresque Chief Joseph Highway est à 15 miles et vous emmène à l'entrée nord-est de Yellowstone après une promenade de montagne à couper le souffle. (Vous pouvez voir plus de faune sur cette route que dans le parc!).

La cabine est disponible pendant les mois d'hiver et est idéalement située à 1,5 heure de la ville de Cooke et des pistes de motoneige "Top of the World".

Apportez vos chevaux en vacances avec vous - il existe des corrales et des pâturages disponibles et de nombreuses randonnées à pied localement, allant du terrain de montagne aux landlands du "vieux ouest".

Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez choisi de visiter Clark, Wyoming pour vos vacances. Voici quelques remarques concernant Guest House et Clark pour faciliter votre visite.

C'est un ranch en activité et les gens vont et vont vérifier les animaux
Et l'arrosage. N'hésitez pas à faire de la randonnée et à profiter de l'endroit, mais sachez que les chevaux et le bétail sont tous grands et imprévisibles. Les chevaux en particulier peuvent être très enthousiastes à l'égard des visiteurs et un peu de contact lorsqu'ils veulent de l'attention. Ils sont les mieux placés sur la clôture pour votre propre sécurité. Ils signifient bien, mais peuvent être insistants.

Nous avons 240 acres, 120 de chaque côté de la route de gravier après votre entrée dans le ranch. La propriété est contenue par des clôtures de fils de fer barbelés presque totalement ininterrompus sur les quatre côtés (une porte dans le coin SW et une dans le coin SE). Profitez de la randonnée autour de la propriété mais rappelez-vous cette règle de base: si vous trouvez une porte ouverte, laissez-la ouverte. Si vous trouvez un portail fermé, laissez-le fermé.

Il existe plusieurs voies d'eau et «étangs» sur la propriété. Rien de tout cela n'est naturel - ils sont tous des caractéristiques d'irrigation artificielles. Nous ne recommandons pas de nager ou de laisser jouer des animaux ou des enfants à ceux-ci.

LA FAUNE: Il y a une antilope et un cerf pronghorn (queue blanche et mule) sur la propriété. Ils ont tendance à se promener dans la région du sud-est lorsqu'ils ne mangent pas dans le grand champ vers l'avant. Le cerf et l'antilope abondent! Dans le ciel, vous verrez probablement des hawks de queue rouge, des aigles royaux, des corbeaux, des oies, des grues de sandhill, des chukkers et d'autres petits oiseaux. Nous n'avons jamais vu un ours sur notre terre, mais ils sont régulièrement signalés le long de la rivière. Deux loups ont été vus sur le pâturage du sud-est il y a quelques années. Veuillez vous rendre compte que vous êtes littéralement au bord d'une forêt d'état et dans l'écosystème de Yellowstone. Dans le canyon, il y a
Souvent des chèvres de montagne, des moutons de cornes et un lion de montagne ont récemment été repérés.

Enfants / Animaux domestiques - Gardez les enfants et les animaux sous votre contrôle et votre supervision en tout temps. Il y a des serpents à sonnette et d'autres dangers. Les chiens qui poursuivent la vie sauvage sont strictement interdits au Wyoming.

Cell Service / WiFi - North 40 Cabin possède un wifi pour votre commodité.

Activités: Si vous aimez pêcher, vous pouvez obtenir une licence à Edelweiss sur l'autoroute principale. Il y a une zone de pêche d'accès public sur la rivière Yellowstone sur la route principale où vous êtes entré.

Le Clark's Fork Canyon offre d'excellentes possibilités de randonnée et de pêche. Si vous souhaitez un «guide» local, nous serions heureux de partager une connaissance approfondie de la région et des montagnes.

Beautiful place to get away from it all

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cabin in Clark. The views were breathtaking. The cabin was very clean with all the amenities (even Wi-Fi). It’s a bit of a drive to go anywhere, but we would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving here! The pictures of the property and the cabin don’t do it justice. The cabin was much bigger than I thought it was going to be and we were surrounded by mountains. It’s only a 2 minute drive to hike Clark’s fork and the friendly horses on the property were our kids favorite! Ande was so nice and let us know she would get anything we needed. The area is right in between Cody and Red Lodge so we were able hike in both cities without long drives. I would totally recommend this cabin and this area. It was great!

This was perfect in every way. The kitchen was amazing. We were outside of town and away from light pollution. We saw the Milky Way every night and even the Northern Lights! Andy was incredible and extremely funny. We had a wonderful time and were even able to extend our vacation 2 more days. I highly, highly recommended here!

Ideally located getaway

A good place to escape. Plenty of space, everything you might need, quiet and a perfect location for stargazing. I appreciated the coffee maker that allowed for both a pod and pot brewing options. The windows allowed plenty of light and a wonderful view of the sunset on the mountains. The Owner's horses were shameless beggars, but knew how to pose for pictures. Big points for that, alone. Overall, there isn’t a thing to keep me from choosing this spot again.

Stay was absolutely fantastic. We got in late after driving down from Montana. Place was unlocked and bigger than we expected. Nobody within miles except the horses. Never saw another soul which is what we came for! Will be back in the future! Thank you North 40!!

The cabin was great. Great furnishings and everything you need In the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable which is a biggie with us and the place was spotless.. our host greeted us and check in was a breeze. She provided good information of places to see on our stay. The North 40 cabin is Excellent!

We were very impressed with the North 40 ranch. The cattle ranch was scenic and restful. The spotless cabin was perfect for the three of us adults. We felt that the seclusion from the crowds made the distance to Cody worthwhile traveling. We enjoyed the rodeo, the sights of Yellowstone and the area where we stayed in Clark immensely. We also liked interacting with the horses and all the other livestock. The Cooks, the hosts, reacted quickly to a maintenance problem, and gave us great advice about the local area and attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful country cabin

This cabin was the perfect size for our family of 4. Views of nearby mountains and wildlife were great. Cabin was clean and had everything you’d need for your stay. It is 30 min from nearest town, but perfect if your looking to get away from any type of city life. Only issue were some pesky moths every evening when we got back to cabin. There is also almost no light out on the ranch at night, so forgetting to leave porch light on before you leave for the day means it will be pretty much pitch black if your return at night. Over all it was a great stay.

A stay at the ranch

We loved our stay at the ranch. It was perfect for our needs and kitchen had what we needed to make a few meals. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch and looking at the beautiful mountains in front of us. Their horses are friendly and would come up to fence to greet us. We were traveling cross country from Jacksonville Fl touring the National Parks and spending time with family in WA With Yellowstone being closed we spent extra time in Grand Tetons which didn’t disappoint. We had to take a southern route to get to Cody since we couldn’t travel thru Yellowstone and it took us thru the Wind Reservation which we found beautiful. We also toured Buffalo Bill Dam, Clark’s Fork Canyon and Chief Joseph Scenic Highway. We watched the wildlife on the ranch The fact we are on a cross country trip we so appreciate when the property has a washer dryer so we can clean our clothes. We enjoyed going to Cody to do some shopping . If we had more time it would have been great to stay a couple more days. Thank you for opening up your property for us.

Best Retreat from Worldly Chaos!

Imagine being able to hear a pin drop on a dirt driveway?! The only "noise" is the very occasional greeting from a cow or the galloping of horses running across the back of the cabin and all this with the backdrop of the Absaroka and Beartooth mountain range. It's a peaceful retreat. The 30 minute drive into downtown Cody is beautiful! Cody has great activities; check out the rodeo and the Cody Cattle Co. dinner and entertainment (PS--you can purchase ticket packages that includes both the dinner, entertainment AND the rodeo; 4 hours of pure FUN!). We highly recommend Ande and Rob's North 40 Ranch!!! We hope to visit again in the future!!

Awesome location. Beautiful views in all directions. Enjoyed being greeted by the cattle and horses each morning. Property was spotless and well maintained. Property manager attentive to our questions and gave great tips for spotting wildlife in and out of the park.
