Newly furnished, large, bright, beach house in the heart of it all!

Hi Jan. I was actually at the property just days before you arrived and came immediately after you left. All TVs work perfectly. I did notice after you left that the livingroom TV's settings were changed and it was on the wrong input setting not connected to the cable. I'm not sure who in your party changed this. I will add to the welcome letter instructions on which setting TV's should be on and that all you need is to hit the "all on" button on the DirectTV remote to be connected to the cable. I wish you called me during your stay on this problem as all of my guests, including you, are provided with my cell number (along with my direct email and text) before check-in. I can insure that EVERYTHING is always in working order for all of my guests. I'm glad that overall you were happy with the house and location!

Marsha, I'm glad you had a great weekend! I'm not sure what happened to that propane tank, but is has since been replaced. It is impossible for me to ensure propane throughout the summer though, as there is no time to check and refill with back-to-back summer rentals. Tenants are welcome to buy/bring their own tank, or can always use the second charcoal grill. Thanks for the review!!

This comment and experience is an odd outlier from all other's. The home intentionally shows better in reality than what is shown in the listing pictures. The furniture in the living room, loft, and lower level has all been improved and updated from what you see in the listing pictures. The kitchen has also received updates from what is shown. Most guests are thrilled by this! Internet service was active for this guest and the guest never notified me of no internet during their stay - it would have been addressed immediately if I had been contacted. All guests have my personal email, cell phone, and text to reach me. I was notified of the toilet refilling and I actually replaced the toilet with a brand new one the day this guest checked out. Minor, non-urgent maintenance issues are not addressed while guests stay because most guests do not want to wait for a repair man, or have a plumber accessing the home unaccompanied. As for the landscaping, this is managed by the HOA. This has been the wettest summer on record and shrubs have grown quickly since the last pruning. Our community at Eagle Point is very well maintained and actually has this reputation throughout Lewes and Rehoboth. If Eagle Point's landscaping did not meet this guest's expectations, no development in the area would! As conveyed in the guest's welcome letter, guests are responsible for taking the trash from the garage to the curb on trash day. As the owner, I can not control if previous guests missed trash day. Luckily the bins are over-sized and can easily contain more than one week's worth. Renting any 3,400 square foot home in mid-season, there will always be areas for potential improvement. Updates are done yearly on the property in off season. The furniture is all new, linens and paint are updated yearly, and carpets shampoo'd twice yearly. After spending 13 years going to Lewes, I can assure future guests that my property is incredibly clean, well maintained, and one of the best VALUES you will find. I am proud to stand behind my property. I am sorry this guest didn't agree, but wish that these issues were expressed to me during the stay - I was never called and only notified of one minor maintenance issue that was promptly addressed.
