Located within an easy walk of downtown downtown Southwest Harbor's restaurants, shops, and harbor —this cute New Englander style home with harbor views is the perfect base to explore all the treasures of MDI. Just a short drive to some of the best attractions Acadia has to offer and located on the Island Explorer route so you can travel around car free.
The space Enjoy seasonal harbor views from the living room, while enjoying a movie or game night. The eat in kitchen has been updated to feature all the modern amenities so you can cook at home. Or treat yourself and enjoy one of our great local restaurants. The first floor also features a flex space for an extra lounge or office, plus two full baths, and access to the patio. Three bedrooms are located on the second floor and both baths are on the first floor. This home is a renovated 1800's classic New England style home. We have added energy efficient heating and cooling and new windows, as well as all new baths and a large modern kitchen. Please note the original layout of the home has been preserved which includes the bathrooms being located on the first floor of the house. The stairs to the second floor are steep, as was typical of 19th century homes of this style.
Guest access
There is an attached one bedroom ADU, that can be rented with the home if your party needs more space for an additional fee. This may be occupied by another group during your stay. The units do not share any interior walls or outdoor space. There is a shared driveway.
Other things to note
We have air conditioning, as well as heat! Recent summers on MDI have regularly seen temps over 90 degrees, so you will be relieved to have the option of ac when you want it.
Upstairs bedrooms feature 2 queen rooms and one room with two twin beds. Please note there are layouts of the first and second floor included with the property photos.
The all new kitchen has all the modern amenities and is well stocked for cooking for your group.
The spacious living room features a large sectional couch and a TV where you can stream from any of your services or enjoy a game night!
The back patio has a grill and table for outdoor dining.
We have a deep love of the Acadia region and love sharing our local knowledge with our guests. We provide an online guidebook which gives great suggestions for hikes, bites, drinks, shops, and so much more. We also feature a calendar of local events so you can experience real local charm. If you’re looking to experience a local lobster bake we can steer you to the best lobster pound or if you would like to make them on your own, we can connect you with our local lobsterman where you can pick them up from him at the dock and enjoy cooking them yourselves in our large lobster pot!
