Marvelous house

What a wonderful house. Perfect for two families with ample space. Veranda for cosy nights and 8 minutes walk to the beach. We will rent again for sure.

Belle maison, bien placée

TrÚs belle maison entiÚrement rénovée, trÚs bien placée dans une rue tranquille d'un beau secteur à 10 minutes de marche de la plage et du centre-ville de Dewey Beach. La véranda est magique le soir. Petits points négatifs : la literie qui n'est pas fournie; le propane pour le BBQ était vide et on a dû aller remplacer la bonbonne; l'air climatisé est surdimensionné, marche à grande vitesse et cycle donc beaucoup, ce qui fait du bruit surtout la nuit et on a chaud entre les cycles. Mais globalement, je recommande de louer cette maison.

Host was great! The specific condo was good high bamboo ceilings beautiful decor and amazing views. It had tons of kitchen items plus beach gear to borrow. Right next door to Carlsmith beach Building itself is tired and could use a power wash Mostly owners live here. The onsite building manager was very nice building is secure tooLaundry pretty easy to use with AppPool is very basic Sofa and bed too soft for me if that is a priority Good base for public beaches and other attractions including waterfalls Hilo itself seems older and more industrial than Kona side and this lodging is very good especially considering other options

This place far surpassed our expectations. It is arguably the best location in the building, offering outstanding water views framed by beautiful, lush tropical vegetation. The condo is beautifully decorated and exceptionally well equipped, with quality appliances and very comfortable furniture—I especially appreciated the assortment of pillows . We felt right at home, with plenty of space and everything we needed to fully enjoy our stay. Lee was also wonderful to work with and communicated clearly throughout. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again.

Die Wohnung war sehr gut und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Betten waren super und sowohl Bad als auch KĂŒche waren sehr gut ausgestattet. Sogar GewĂŒrze und Öl waren ausreichend vorhanden. Der Ausblick und die ruhige Lage direkt am Carlsmith Beach Park waren einfach wunderbar!Etwas fummelig war lediglich der Zugang mit der Lockbox und den verschiedenen SchlĂŒsseln. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche und können die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

We loved the amazing lagoon front views and the high ceilings that this penthouse provided. Furnishings and appliances were up to date, and the kitchen was really well stocked. Beach gear (including beach towels and chairs) was available to use and the 3 little friendly geckos on the lanai were the best! We think that the Mauna Loa is the best place to stay in Hilo, but it isn't a resort - most units have residents and there is no air conditioning. If a fancy resort is what you are looking for, stay on the Kona side. But if you want to really feel like a local - this place can't be beat!

Appreciated having access directly to Carlsmith Beachpark from the property, especially on days when public parking spaces were hard to find. The lagoon at that end is sandy and well protected, with steps that make for easy entry to the water. Nice views of the park and bay from the balcony.

The property description couldn’t be more accurate and my family and I couldn’t be any happier with our stay! The condo is in close proximity to Carlsmith Beach Park and others, which made it perfect for early swims, snorkeling, and watching the sunrise. The view alone is worth it — sea turtles right below the lanai most mornings! The location was quiet but close to everything in Hilo. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for the week. Couldn’t have asked for a better home base on the east side of the island — we’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Condo is just like home. Very well organized condo and building. Building neighbors are great, Carl Smith Lagoon is perfect swimming pool for laps, Richardson for snorkeling. Owners snorkel gear is a bit lacking, mostly kid stuff. Condo super is Mr Friendly and helpful. We think New Chiang Mai Thai on Kalakaua St up in town is the best.

Great location and beautiful condo decor. Picturesque lagoons for swimming and a box of swim/snorkeling things to use. Easy check in. Lots of towels including beach towels. The double twin room was quite noisy at night with the street traffic, but too hot with the windows closed. Recommend earplugs.

This was my second time renting in this condo. As always, it was clean, well equipped and relaxing. Bed in master bedroom was very comfortable. Made friends with two Geckos on the balcony who were always watching me.

Great place in Hilo

Lee's apartment was a lovely base for our Hilo vacation. The building itself is from the 70s, but the entire apartment has been recently renovated. It's a very chill building, and the only noises we heard were the ocean and nature. My kids enjoyed the pool, it was a perfect temperature for us (not too cold and not too hot). Having a private gate to Carlsmith Beach/Lagoon was so nice. We literally just went downstairs, through the gate, and were at the lagoon. I loved having my breakfast on the lanai overlooking the lagoon and the ocean - because it's on the top floor there are trees below blocking the view of the people down at the pool and the beach park, so it was really private. Lee was great with communication as well. Highly recommend!!

A great few days!

The property was very nice - exactly as expected. Very clean and comfortable for our family of 4. The lagoon was absolutely amazing and we saw so much sea life, including LOTS of turtles. Communication was great and everyone we met on property was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone!

Great location, beautiful view

We loved this location so much that we already booked it again for MM next year! Views are stunning. Location is perfect, right next to the beach. It is a little hot at times, but with the windows open and screen doors, it cooled off pretty quickly. As a Hawaii family, the only thing Iʻd say that was missing was a rice cooker, but we made due with stove top rice. Only reason we didn't give this 5 stars was because it was pretty dusty and we found old underwear under the vanity in the bathroom. Definitely not a deal breaker for us, though.

Fabulous stay in Hilo

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. Everything was so tidy and clean and the views from the balcony were wonderful. The proximity of the condo to town and the beautiful shoreline is hard to beat. We would definitely stay here when visiting Hilo again.

Traditional beach cottage with space for everyone !

I have vacationed at rhe delaware beaches most of my life and was never a gan of Dewey (Rehobeth) I exoected the lovation to be loud and noisy based on its proximity to Dewey but we were wrong. 4 quiet blocks away from all the Dewey beach has to offer, but far enough away to hear the crickets. Well stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. Great hidden gem . mfore

We are a retired couple from the S.F. Bay Area . I was a realtor and Ric was a builder. We have travelled extensively and the big island called to us as a place to spend more time. As longtime short term rental hosts in the Bay Area we decided to create a space of our own in Hilo. We as traveler's always enjoy vacation rentals that are clean, comfy and affordable . We hope that our Hilo condo will be that place for you when you visit !

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

The Hilo side of the island is the wet side , which means it’s tropical and lush. The access to the bay ocean is so easy and safe . Carl Smith park is literally right out our back door. An amazing spot for protected swimming ( there is a lifeguard), barbecuing, exploring the lagoons , floating We are close to downtown Hilo with access to restaurants, shopping and cultural events.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

It is on the top floor of our building which provides for privacy , vaulted ceilings and a view that is expansive and tropical. It so easy to wile a way the hours just relaxing and enjoying the view.
