Les propriĂ©taires Mike et Gina Friccero vous souhaitent la bienvenue dans la location de vacances Awesome Views: The Mermaid's Lair. Nos lits et draps haut de gamme garantissent une bonne nuit de sommeil en pleine beautĂ©. Parking / entrĂ©e privĂ©, avec des vues sur l'ocĂ©an qui sont imbattables. Terrasse privĂ©e avec chaque chambre. À distance de marche de la ville, des musĂ©es, des boutiques et des restaurants. Bonne vue pour les oiseaux, les otaries et la cosse occasionnelle d'Ă©paulards qui passe. De beaux levers de soleil sur l'ocĂ©an, mais rappelez-vous que c'est le pays du soleil de minuit! Apportez un masque de sommeil si vous ĂȘtes trop sensible Ă  la lumiĂšre. RecommandĂ© d'apporter des vĂȘtements chauds mĂȘme en Ă©tĂ©. Des vĂȘtements de pluie lĂ©gers sont une bonne chose Ă  inclure dans votre sac.
Attention: nous ne sommes plus un B&B et ne proposons pas de restauration.
Les enfants sont les bienvenus. Notre maison est sur une bande de parc qui offre beaucoup d'espace pour que les enfants courent et jouent. À distance de marche de la piscine publique, du lycĂ©e et du pont de Near Island. La baignoire sur pied peut ĂȘtre difficile d'accĂšs pour les personnes ĂągĂ©es. It was indeed an awesome view. The hosts are really friendly. It has a separate entrance which is nice. Walking distance to downtown if you don't have a car, but if you do there is a place to park. It is built on a hill in front of the ocean, and requires walking down a flight of stairs each time you come and go. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck just taking in the scenery and sounds.

Here for work

Perfect for someone visiting but I prefer a place with a kitchen. Claw tub with shower is not my thing, but it works with a lot of hot water.

Perfect location

Convenient to town (walkable) and looking out over the harbor inlet! Beautiful views, clean and friendly. Inside pictures dont do it justice.

Great spot in Kodiak to rent

Super stay, great view, small but you have everything you need as long as your not planning on cooking. We have rented this property twice in the past two years.

I love Kodiak! The VRBO I stayed at was so perfect for me. The location was great and it was right on the bay. The balcony was great to sit on and enjoy the beautiful weather and watch the boats going by and the float planes taking off. I would stay here again!

Perfect room, great view, comfy bed. It is down a full flight of stairs. A parking space is provided. Also coffee maker in room, microwave and fridge. Nice TV. Lots of closet space. The tub is a claw foot high sided tub. If you are mobility impaired, it could be difficult. I had a great 5 days here at the Mermaid Lair.

Awesome Kodiak Studio

Perfect studio set-up. Awesome view of the channel, easy walk into town. Quiet. Nice little deck. "Everything you need and nothing you don't." Would definitely recommend to a friend and plan to re-book on my next trip to Kodiak.

I loved this property and it was a perfect relaxing spot. I slept well and enjoyed the quiet. I highly recommend this place. If you stay here and have some mobility issues this may not be the best option. There are steep stairs and the bathtub has a higher ledge. Otherwise a beautiful location and plenty of places to walk for a great view. Please take advantage of Carol's Cab as well.

The lady is very unfriendly from the moment trying to get in the door. Paper thin wall that you can hear the people upstairs snore and fart. Very steep steps to get in and out of the place. The hot water won’t fill the tub so forget that too. Don’t waste your money

Terrific place with outstanding view of the water. Close enough to the Downtown area that it was an easy walk. Gina, our host, was easy to access and very helpful. Overall a great experience.

Delightful efficiency with a nice view.

We stayed 7 nights and overall, would rent again. The efficiency is well decorated, clean, comfortable bed with a nice view of the water, watching boats come and go from the balcony. The hot water is shared with the other Suite so there were times we had to wait to shower.

Perfect cozy retreat

The Mermaid’s Lair was a perfect getaway for me and my husband. We stayed 3 nights on a trip to Kodiak for golf and relaxation. We loved the view; the weather was perfect for sitting on the deck, and the room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Crab Festival 2022

Our hosts made sure we were all tucked in, and let us enjoy the Mermaids lair. They offered to let us borrow bikes, and Wow! That was so much fun to see Kodiak by bike. It was more than just a stunning view!

Great Stay

The view was lovely. Quiet setting. We enjoyed the fishing boats coming in and going out of harbor. There were also sea otters to entertain us. In our final 24 hours we saw few small whales and groups of sea lions passing by. The bed and the room comfortable. Fun to utilize the claw foot bathtub. It was an easy walk to and around town. We also walked across the Near Island bridge to take in some hiking. The owner was nice, available and helpful as needed.

We are a Local fishing family, Owners of F/V Miss Gina that fishes Halibut and Salmon and Cod commercially. Our grown children also participate in the fisheries. We built an addition on to our home and designed it for a privacy, views and relaxation or adventure...your choice! Comfy beds this room is designed is for privacy and a cozy retreat away from home.

The views are spectacular, the location is convenient. Each room has private deck overlooking the ocean. Children are welcome! Perfect accommodations for the executive traveling for business or the family vacation. Romantic for couples, too!

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Wildlife..we have Sea Lions, otters and the occasional whale right out front! Not to mention many different birds....our favorite are the Eagles that soar out front every Spring.
