Heated Pool~ Fenced Yard - Dog Friendly-Quiet Neighborhood with Central Location
!Welcome to "Saltwater Sandcastle". This beach house oasis is located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills on the west side in a quiet residential neighborhood - one half mile from the beach and just over half a mile from the soundside walking trails of Nags Head Woods and the Nature Conservancy. Enjoy days on the beach, evening sunset hikes or bike rides to the sound, and your very own (heated) private backyard pool for times you just want to hang out at home base. And we are dog friendly, so no need to leave your furry family member at home.
Enjoy a home away from home at this centrally located cottage in the heart of Kill Devil Hills but tucked back in a quiet, residential west side neighborhood. We are almost equally distant from the soundside walking trails of Nags Head Woods and the beach, and within a few minutes to a variety of local attractions, restaurants and shopping. Walk, bike, drive or even rent a golf cart to tool around. For down time and days you need a break from the crowds of the beach, enjoy the privacy of our tree lined, fully fenced in backyard with a brand new private pool. Everything in the home has been tastefully updated with comfortable modern touches. And, no need to leave Fido behind since we are dog friendly for up to two dogs.

Outside Space
~Fully fenced in, tree lined, backyard with heated in ground pool and gas grill. Pool heat is available in April, May, September and October for an addtional fee of $25 per night. Please note that the pool heater will not heat the pool to more than 10 degrees more than the outside ambient temperature. In addition, maximum setting for the pool heater is 82 degrees.

The minimum age to rent is 25. ABSOLUTELY no parties or overnight outside guests will be allowed. You will be asked to leave immediately and will not receive a refund of any kind.
Pool opens on or around April 1st and closes around November 1st.
Please do not park in the yard or on the street. Parking is only allowed in the driveway.
This is a dog friendly rental. While we and our cleaners are as thorough as possible, If you have pet allergies this listing may not be suitable for you.
Dogs only - maximum of 2 dogs allowed. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring your dog and add them to your guest count in order for the pet fee to be charged. Dogs must be house-trained, friendly (in case we need to access the house), up to date on flea meds and shots, and well-socialized. Dogs are not to be left alone unattended in the yard (ever) or in the house uncrated for extended periods of time. Be sure to pick up after your dog in all areas and keep your dog off the furniture. If you have a "shedding" type breed, clean-up also means hair within reason. Failure to do so or any damage from your dog will result in an additional fee.
Please note that this is a vacation rental and not a hotel. (We love and appreciate our guests and truly mean that in the absolute nicest way!) You will need to roll trash carts out for trash pickup, do your dishes, etc., and basically leave the house reasonably as you found it.
Use of the grill is on the condition that guests understand they are responsible for cleaning it - before and after use. Propane grills should be cleaned before use. If you use the grill, please clean it before departure for the next guests and empty the grease trap. Our cleaners do not clean grills. If you use the last of the propane in one of the tanks, please let us know or replace it.
If you break something please replace it or let us know ahead of time so that we can be proactive for the next guests. We know accidents happen - just help us out!
We provide one set of bath towels per expected guest. We do not provide beach or pool towels.
We provide the first roll of toilet paper per bathroom and one roll of paper towels. Additional needs are the guests' responsibility.
We are your neighbors and live just a couple of miles away. We are super laid back but expect that you will respect our space and the rules.
You will be asked to sign a simple rental agreement and provide a copy of government issued ID as a condition of booking.
There are security cameras monitoring the front door, driveway and gates to the backyard and pool area. By booking your reservation ,you acknowledge that you are aware of these cameras.
